That perhaps it might be better to keep quiet about different theories about certain things, otherwise that might give Telltale inventive to change something.
Technically we're to blame for the Kenny vs Luke decision not being in the game.
Perhaps so, but they still didn't have to change it… more; it was still their choice at the end of the day and we as fans don't have control over the game, they do. They should've just taken all the Kenny vs Luke discussions on it into account as a positive thing that so many people were actively speaking about it, and not thought instead 'shit, we need to fix this.'
Nothing needed fixing, and there was nothing wrong people openly speaking about it or saying 'hey I wanna stick with this character' or 'I bet this'll happen'. Season 2 might still not have been as good as Season 1 with the decision like that in there, but hell it still would've been a damn better of a game if they'd kept going with one of the few consistent things they had. Although Jane was more of a garbage filled with stinky bottles and cans, Kenny was garbage filled with shit and vomit.
Hence my wording of "IIRC." Regardless of when, my point is that it was still planned, as Gavin himself mentioned. So I repeat: No, I don't believe the conflict was meant to involve Luke. Either way, sloppy writing.
IMO they knew they were going to use Jane as the plot element, that is why they built her character so much in episode four.
IMO i think it was originally going to be Carlos vs Luke, i don't believe they had plans on bringing either Kenny/Jane in, until episode two, when they decided to write Carlos/Sarah out of the Season and rehash Kenny's character. I think Carlos would of filled Kenny's role, Sarah was to fill AJ's role, and Luke for Jane.
Its sad they ruined that storyline for what we got.
Better tell the rest of the fandom that, otherwise expect more characters to die in silly rewrites. But yeah you're right, although maybe Telltale really shouldn't listen to us if this is how things end up nothing should've changed, but there you go.

With that being said, I've always had a thing for very light pale skin chicks personally. Tattoos and piercing are definite bonus points. Not very conventional, but that's why I like it.
