That's... not a stereotype because it's true. A stereotype is a widely held but fixed and oversimplified image or idea of a particular type … moreof person or thing.
For example, there's the stereotype that blondes are dumb, that black people love fried chicken (but like who doesn't?), that all muslims are terrorists. Of course, all of these aren't true, but numb-skulled morons think so because, well, they're morons.
I don't think there can even be a stereotype on one individual person. Considering the fact that it's just someone saying "she says 'fuck' a lot." That's no where near a stereotype.
People can have an opinion, but when it's based off of biased gibberish, that's when it becomes void or at least not as viable as someone who has a well versed understanding of what it is they're talking about...
Have you really considered the end is near just because some smelly crazy hobo screams biblical quotes at the top of his lungs at you?
And to answer your other question... I myself did a little research more deeply into the rumors and found some interesting info. To this day there is still multiple petitions happening that demand a port. You can see it all for yourself by searching it on Google. Now, the Naughty Dog "go fuck yourself" comment was a exaggeration to extend the point that they didn't wish to put The Last of Us on PC.
or you know people just don't like it and have a different opinion to yours? not everyone has to like the messiah of gaming
I believe … morethis all started when the game was announced as a Playstation exclusive and it drove many of the "PC master race" fans up the wall and there was huge campaign to get it on the PC in which Naughty Dog responded by basically telling them to go fuck themselves and it really got a lot of them really butthurt. What's good is good.
i honestly don't remember this happening at all do you have a article or something that says this actually happened? cause as someone who also plays on pc along with my consoles and as someone who knows a huge amount of pc players i have barely even hear anyone bitching about how tlou isn't on it in fact in my experience it seems most don't even care for it unless they have a playstation as well i know that there are petitions but from what i have seen they are just the casual ones that get put up whenever a game doesn't get put on pc
It's one of those things that's become so popular it's "hip" to hate it. As with everything, there are very valid reasons for disliking the … moregame, but I find people rarely care to elaborate. Yes, it's a bit of a retread of other ZA plotlines, but the depth and nuance pushes it above the others and makes it phenomenal in my eyes.
Again, just my opinion. I'm fairly aware of the flaws.
I personally think that the Characters are quite well written, relatable and believable.
As for the gameplay, I do believe it is repetitive, but it forced me to think and work my way around. Boring in my opinion would be a straight-up-shoot-em-up. This is not that type of game.
Speaking in general terms, because that's what I've seen. If you hate it for reasons that conflict with your personal standards I don't mind, because nothing is everyone's cup of tea, y'know?
It all started with the question about which game was better, and then people created some kind of parallel between them, just because both are placed in the post-apocalypse enviroment and describe a father-daughter relationship... It doesn't matter, for fucks sake. You guys can as well compare Super Mario Kart and Need For Speed. Each story is unique, even though both concern a similar topic.
That would be awesome. Naughty Dog would make a better version of TWD Survival Instinct. But the Last of Us by TellTale... that would be hard to predict!
You know what, let's go the full mile
What if Naughty Dog made The Walking Dead in their style (third-person, action-adventure, etc), whi… morele Telltale did The Last of Us in their style (point and click, choice-based, episodic, etc)?
That's even more interesting to think about
I think the story would be less darker honestly. It seems like TellTale are fantastic at making you doubt yourself, which is what TWD needs. NaughtyDog would probably make a few moments "blow me away" but the sorta "boring" style TWD has, fits perfectly in my opinion.
I don't get why every time TLOU is discussed it gets so many hate. Can't we just love both games? They both are my favorites games of all time. They both have their similarities and differences, and for me they're both masterpieces.
"predictable story."-Ehm,no.It would be predictable if Joel dies to save ellie or he gives ellie for the good of humanity."Sacrificing myself for someone else" cliche
"Boring gameplay"-Really?I found the gameplay great. You can go full agreesive and shoot everyone or you can go stealthy. Also beating people up felt great.
"Horrible characters"-I disagree,I found all the characters very interesting and I cared about them. But its your opinion.
I will grant that the story is predictable.
I personally think that the Characters are quite well written, relatable and believable.
A… mores for the gameplay, I do believe it is repetitive, but it forced me to think and work my way around. Boring in my opinion would be a straight-up-shoot-em-up. This is not that type of game.
Meh, it's because of the unique comic book styled graphics and the dark themes Telltale uses for the story that made me fall in love with this game. And also, Lee and Clementine probably wouldn't even exist. And those two actually got me into the game so if NaughtyDog would've made this game I probably wouldn't even like it. Telltale is a master in creating good characters and a game with a good storyline. Of course, TLOU is also interesting but I would pick TWD over TLOU any day.
Ah yes, the most "repetitive" game of all time. A game that features robust yet simple to learn stealth mechanics, extremely visceral gunpla… morey, slow yet ambient exposition walks amongst varied and interesting backdrops to help pace the other mechanics, and the game mixing up several sequences of horseback riding.
And why is The Last of Us subjugated to the "overrated" title so predominantly as it's Achilles Heel? It's as bad as when those same people hate Ellie because God forbid a thirteen year old swear... like all thirteen year olds do.
The only thing that naughtydog is better at is animations since they use motion capture.I don't think telltale uses motion capture(I wish they did ;/)because the characters run like robots most of the times.Oh man,can you imagine a telltale game with realistic animations?

I think I answered everything you were asking...
Stop comparing TWD to TLoU.
In what way, may I ask?
Predictable story, horrible characters, boring gameplay, etc.
How come when somebody hates a popular game, everybody just assumes "Oh, they're just hating on it because it's hip/popularr"?
I will grant that the story is predictable.

THANK YOU Really some are just talking about it to cause problems. Do we really need a thousand unnecessary discussion threads about this damn game

I hated the last of us storywise, Joel and Bill were the only interesting and likable characters IMO.
Good gameplay though

The last of us Ellie and joel would be Urban like Lee and Clem as Kenny would say
Naughty Dog would force Melissa Hutchinson and Gavin Hammon to be put into a motion capture suit just like Troy Baker and Ashley Johnson
Probably no choices and set story, with a different style of graphics.
It wouldn't be the same.

It would've been a fun game. But Telltale's graphics, music, and storytelling is better, in my opinion, and something I'd rather have.

when i insult the last of us

Ellie sounds like what Terra should be saying to Slade in Teen Titans.
Better

We'd probably get this:

Clem and Sarah would be a thing and Lee would be depressed all the time.
Oh and Clem would have a lot of fanboys
Im ready for the insults. Blase blase.
