I remember being in awe of that game when I was a kid when I saw it in the arcade.... I was pretty young though and $0.50 seemed like an extremely large amount of money to spend on getting my butt handed to me on a video game.

I have since learned that this game is indeed the devil because it is where QTE game play started and I hate it when they put that stuff in new games.

What are you talking about, this game is awesome because it will literally play on anything. In fact the pic just reminded me to buy the Blu-Ray versions of DL, DLII, and Space Ace.

I don't know if you can blame them for that, the QTE came into being like 15 years later, and while I think there's an obvious similarity, I think it would have been invented even if Laserdisc games never existed

After all the visits of old guybrush in ToMI we've seen so far, I thought I'd try it the other way around.

    That's awesome, just plain awesome

If you guys ever release it on PS3 you HAVE to create this set.

I think a little Marquis de Singe would be nice too. With the make up and hair dressing ^^

WHAT DO YOU THINK I AM!!! a MACHINE?

Just kidding... Yeah it would but when I made those I didnt even know he existed.

And yea I want it on PS3 Sooooo bad, not because I want to play it on there but for the chance of getting Monkey Island LBP costumes.

There's been a lot of pretty common image manipulations overlooked so far. Swapping characters' heads or faces for example. That one's always good for a chuckle.

That's amazing! Just a little change to a Roger Wilco sprite though I'd assume?

Yes, well, here's mine. I don't have Photoshop, sadly, so I'm limited to using Paint.NET. :P
    Use The Gimp.
It's the second best photo editor. There is no need to go for a 3rd best because The Gimp is free. Happy editing.

I'm not as talented as the others, of course, and I am aware of the fact that I don't stand the slightest chance. Still I couldn't resist...
So here are my two cents: "Casamonkey - Humphrey Threepwood and Ingrid Marley"
    guy_elaine.jpg
My other idea was to take the Leisure suit Larry 6 cover and replace the people (Larry = Guybrush, Elaine, Kate, Carla and Wally as the women).
I would have called it: "Plunder Suit Pirate - Ape Up or Ship Out"
Unfortunately, I wasn't able to make it with GIMP... maybe someone else wants to try?

    Guybrush and Murray:

    Old-timey Guybrush:

    2ed1kb9.jpg

    And a little comic:

    2edca53.jpg

(All done with Paint.NET, because more complicated software scares me. :p Also, I normally only edit photos that I took, so I don't really need anything else than Paint.NET.)

But these are meant to be TMI in retro style? Which is what you did? The opposite would be a 3D SMI in TMI style I would have thought :S Just seems like you did the same as us. Not that there is anything wrong with that, it's just that you said you were doing the opposite and did another version of the same XD Nice work though...

Btw, anyone reckon they CAN edit the 3D Guybrush to not have a beard et cetera and look like the old Guybrush?

    Some more, just for fun:

This here should be obvious enough:

For that one I didn't change anything, just played around with GIMP tools:

"Caribbean Nights - Hordes of Monkey Island"
Horrible, I know. Just to make my collection complete.

Only if you make some more! Like the Le Singe lab and Guybrush sitting on the bed.

Hah, I might make LeChuck but I usually do them after midnight into the early hours of the morning. That's usually when I'm more creative but I have been trying to get more sleep recently which means I can't make much stuff D:
