This is what I think Monkey Island 2 Le Chuck's Revenge Special Edition should look like.
I would simply be thrilled to participate in someway in a Monkey Island 2 remake, but I simply hope that Lucasarts can check this stuff and see what we expect from such a remake.
A game that looks first class, with great artistic style and faithful to the original one at the same time. No strange designs with characters we love.
I really love TSOMI as a first try and as a comeback after so many years, but Monkey Island 2 must really be state-of-the-art!
Tim get rid of that link. Neither is MI abandonware nor does an "abondonware" status mean it's legal to copy it. It just means that you think it's unlikely that somebody will prosecute, but with LA still around not even that is the case.

If you buy The Secret of Monkey Island Special Edition, you'll get the original anyway, and it works with ScummVM, you just have to extract it from the game. As for the rest, look around Online someone is bound to be selling the games, just grab a copy and use ScummVM to run the thing.
Sorry, there are only PS3s all around me (not a single Wii, not a single XBOX360).
When I see an abstract block-type brown pattern with a narrow grass top and palms on top, along with some simple deformations I think of Sonic and nothing else.
I took your Guybrush and stuck him into the concept art, scaled to CMI's resolution, and added in the verb coin and text
Wow just wow. looks amazing hands down.
I will say tho, i can live with 3D if this room and the Voodoo ladys place, is an indication of the quality and detail, Telltale will use from now on im this game but also others like Sam & Max.
It's a crying shame that I've yet to play the Grim Fandango. I've heard such great things about it! Is it for sale online anywhere that I could possibly pick it up for cheap, or will I have to wait and see if LucasArts puts it up on Steam/D2D, etc?
Also, that's a fantastic photo edit Irishmile! Looks like it could have been a real bonus/easter egg for the game! Keep up the great work!
We can pray that Lucas Arts bring more games to Steam and other online platforms, i must say that screenshot really also wanna make me play Grim Fandango again, sadly as with the problem with cd's they just cant survive to much use my grim fan... disc died along time ago.

My discs are all messed up too.... I think my kids spilled soda on them and tried cleaning it up themselves...

If the discs aren't physically damaged by the soda you can try cleaning the surface with rubbing alcohol, works wonders for me.
I had a copy of Hunter: The Reckoning Redeemer that I bought on ebay that arrived with weird dried liquid residue on the information side of the disc and I cleaned it with rubbing alcohol and it worked perfectly after that.
Just make sure you use a soft cloth to clean it, and put the alcohol on the cloth, not the disc itself. If you get too much alcohol on the disc for too long, it can warp the disc.
They are all scratched up.... but there is a trick I learned that sounds crazy but it works for minor scratches.... if you rub "gel" style toothpaste on it and then wash it off the disc reader will read it again.... but it doesn't work on really bad scratches.

I can vouch for that... though I have also had it work with normal white paste toothpastes. I tried it randomly as a child on a PC Gamer disc, after trying every other thing in the house, and it suddenly started working again!
If it's just the transparent side, you can simply use car polish to get rid of the scratches. There's no data on that side, so taking a few tenth of a millimeter off won't do any damage.
I haven't forgotten about you guys! I'm busy programming a program right now, but the web team has stepped up to help out with the contest. Stay tuned!
anyway lets go classic shall we?
Simple... yet.... It makes my mind wander and think about how funny the two franchises would be if they ever clashed... Imagine Herman being the cause of one of Graham's deaths.

Awww That would have been so cool

Consider it done. Thanks for the heads up.
Want!
The Moon is from CoMI, Guybrush, giant wind thingy and the palms are from ToMI ... The sky and clouds are made in photoshop
I cried tears of manly joy at seeing these. These are hilarious; but they look like games I'd play at the same time.
I wonder what sort of enemies you would see in a Super Monkey Island game.

That's easy: Pirates with turtle shells.
These:
Edit: This is not a photoshop
Edit: Somehow Bagge's image doesn't appear anymore, so here's a second copy:

You can do better. Now exchange Bill Murray's head into Murray's skull!
