Can Clementine really shoot Carver in Ep 3?

I was watching a Evil Clementine walkthrough and in that walkthrough she was able to wound Carver in Episode 3: "In Harm's Way" can you really shoot Carver?

    If Alvin dies you can take the gun in the cabinet and shoot him in the cheek, same exact scene afterwards except he has some blood running down his face.

    As Dragonleaf said, if you kill Alvin in Episode 2, you can search Carver's desk for the gun in Episode 3 (the gun Alvin would use to kill Hank if he survived) and Clem can end up shooting Carver in the ear instead of just jumping on him.

    If Alvin got killed in EP 2 you can get the gun on a drawer on Carvers desk and then you get to shoot him on the shoulder and he gets injured.

    You can shoot him if Alvin was killed in Episode 2. The gun is in a drawer in Carver's desk
