Why I've "Embraced the Dark Side." ("Why I Don't Care For AJ.") Strawpoll results!

[Formally "Why I Don't Care For AJ."]

I've seen some compelling arguments here on my discussion thread within the last few days or so. And, for everyone that took this thread at face value and tried to sway rather than insult me, thank you.

But it's come to my attention I'm "evil," "sick," "a monster," and "a coward" because of where I stand on the AJ situation. This thread was nothing but immature people using "Spiderman meme's" rather than discussing for the first few hours. After that, it was a lot of other immature people calling me names because they didn't like my opinion.

So, the hell with it. I've "embraced the dark side" so to speak. I wanted people to share their absolute honest opinions and maybe try to sway me to their side. But with every good comment, there were seven people saying I was trying to be edgy and "hardcore." This, of course, doesn't compel me to think any differently.

I hope this is a lesson to people that instead of acting like a five year old and throwing a tantrum, try discussing your points amicably. Now, back to the original post.

["Why I Don't Care For AJ."]

A lot of people have been talking about the "AJ situation." Would you leave him? Would you keep him with you?

I, personally, would keep AJ with me as a distraction in case of an emergency. This may seem evil to a lot of people, but amoral and evil are two completely separate things. Keeping Clementine (myself) alive is the primary objective of survival, not burdening yourself with something that isn't yours. I could understand if Clementine had an emotional attachment to AJ. But, AJ is just someone else's child. This means there is no maternal instincts to protect the baby, no formation or connection greater than "it's a baby that needs the safety."

There was a point after Sarah's horrible death where everyone was just sleeping, like nothing had happened. Rebecca asks Clementine if she'd like to hold the baby. If Clementine declines, Rebecca states "it's ok Clementine, we're family." But what kind of family? One that allowed a young girl to get viciously mauled and eaten alive. The point being nobody ever cared when somebody died that they weren't attached to emotionally. Yet when it's convenient for them to care, then they show empathy. And I can't stand blatant hypocrisy.

Anyway, just wanted to share my thoughts on the "AJ situation." I have no attachment to something that can't help me or at least give me emotional relief.
