Who had the biggest impact on Clementine?

Lee:

Taught her how to defend herself and went through the most stuff with her

OR

Christa:

Took care of her the longest

OR

Kenny

Her current caretaker (determinant)

Lee. That man had a fire in him.

As much as I love me some good old Kenny, and as strong and resourceful as Christa was, Lee is definitely the one who made the biggest impact on Clem. Christa seemed cold and distant, because of Omid. Kenny is basically loosing it, and can barely take care of himself, but Lee was the best. He worked with Clem like they were a team, but still treated her and loved her like a child. She need that still.

Lee for sure. I miss dat Everett... :<

  • Lee. Even after sixteen months, she still has Lee on her mind, as we see from her dialogue choice with Christa, and her apparent sadness at but a glimpse of his picture. Mind you, Christa probably had a profound impact on her, being the person who's taken care of her the longest, but since they never showed us what they went through together, we never really feel their connection or see the impact Christa had on her. I don't think Clem's more bitter outlook counts in this regard since that can just be a matter of having survived on the road for this long. The only tangible thing we have to go on is that Christa taught Clem to sew up injuries, unless there was something mentioned in passing that I missed.

As for Kenny, he hasn't impacted her at all, really. He's a good friend to her and that's about it. Not to diminish the importance of having a good friend, but as far as "impact" goes, I can't think of anything he's done that I can really say has had a profound influence on her. I guess if I really had to stretch it, I could say that his impact on her is also determinant in a sense. If you kill him, Clem could have learned that sometimes even good friends are too far gone, which he admits, and if you don't, then Clem has held to the belief that you must never give up on friends, no matter how toxic they may become as a result to living in a fucked up world. But again, I'm just tossing stuff out there.

  • Arvo

He sure left a hole in her

  • You can't specify which ones, or say who had the largest impact. We don't know because of the time skip, and one thing doesn't influence a person completely. There are multiple things that influence a person. Every encounter and every person she met influenced her, and not one would have the largest impact.

  • Lee was defiantly the best. But seeing that hes gone now Id go with Kenny

  • Lee. Duh

  • No one since we control her, shes lost all of her individual character

  • Sure as shit!

Lee. That man had a fire in him.

  • For now Lee, but that can change if Kenny play a major role in season 3 if we go with at the end of season 2.

  • Lee and also christa for survival experience.

  • Lee. He was with her from the start and took her in when no one else was there. Christa and Omid were great to take care of her, but Lee will always have a special place in her heart.

  • Lee helped Clementine when she was completely vulnerable and alone. He was the first to teach her basic survival stuff. (Even though technically Chuck suggested it.) And you can see through the way she mentions him throughout S2 that she still remembers and misses him after all this time. (Her survivor's guilt for his death probably also plays a part in why she keeps mentioning him.) I think Christa's impact on Clementine was also great, but we never got to see it in detail like we did with Lee so I can't say for sure how Christa influenced Clementine. As for Kenny, I don't think he's had much influence on her, at least not as much as Lee and Christa (probably) did.

  • Kenny: "You're as stubborn as a damn mule."

Clementine: "Yeah, wonder where I got that from."

I know it's determinant, but still, she learned something from him.

  • Lee definitely had the biggest impact on Clementine throughout the entire series.

  • Jane had quite the impact--even more than Christa or Kenny imho. Still, Lee left her most impacted in my book, no question.

    Christa was with her longer.

    Like Christa and Omid?

In truth the only reason Lee had so much more of an impact on her when comparing it to Christa's impact is that we didn't get to see the arduous 16 months they spent with only each other as company. Through Omid's death, through the death of the baby, through whatever other trials we will never know. He had more of an impact on us, sure. But in the grand scheme of things it's laughable to think she would have a stronger connection with Lee rather than Christa. But, that's Season Two writing for yuh!

  • Lee (doi!). He was like a father to her.

Christa is second. She kept Clementine alive and help teach her how to survive on her own.

Kenny is last. While he definitely cares, he didn't really "teach" her anything nor did he connect with her on the same emotional level as Lee.

  • To say him and her didn't emotionally connect whatsoever. She's known him for 2 years and this they've survived through a lot of stuff.

  • Lee obviously, for one he taught her simple rules for the ZA like shoot them in the head, you're smarter than all of them and stay out of their reach..

Christa was with Clementine the longest and taught her to stitch her arm, and not how to make a camp fire which makes her irrelevant to this conversation..

Kenny loves Clementine the same way he loved his own son, protecting her from other people and walkers, but as much as I hate to say it he has put Clem/The entire group in danger at some times, example when he took off his restraints in the truck on the way to Carvers camp, running to chase Arvo on thin ice, things like this could have killed Clementine without Kenny even thinking about it..

End of the day Lee was easily the most impacting on Clementines zombie apocalypse life.

  • Finally someone said it, I feel like everybody forgets Clementine had parents.

  • She knew him for a few months. They were separated for those two years as Clem spent that time with Christa and Omid. While they were togrther, she spent most of her time around Lee, Duck, Ben, Lilly, Katjaa. Not really Kenny.

    Lee and Kenny.

Lee gave Clementine a good start, teaching her how to shoot, teaching her how to read others, teaching her common sense, and teaching her to hang on to hope.
He helped Clementine during a period in her life where she was most vulnerable; emotionally speaking, given that she had just lost contact with her parents; and did not know whether they were alive or not.
Lee was dedicated to protecting her, and would've continued to do so, had he not been bit.

Kenny, even while she was with Lee, displayed a concern for her.
And when they found each other in Season 2, he in effect adopted her as his own, going to great lengths to protect her, even getting beaten nearly to death.
Even when things were really bad, and even though Kenny was struggling with his anger and deep-seeded grief, he still looked after Clementine to the best of his ability.
Kenny, like Lee, also taught her the value of not giving up hope; which was displayed in his unwavering faith that Wellington was out there somewhere.
Kenny also demonstrated confidence and trust in Clementine, which in turn, helped Clementine to have confidence and trust in herself.
Kenny finished what Lee had started, by eventually getting Clementine to a place of safety; and then pleading that she and Alvie be allowed to stay, even if that meant he would never see them again.

Whether or not Clementine actually stayed in Wellington, or left with Kenny, is totally up to the player.
I personally had them leave Wellington together.

  • Haha ok.

Is this not a place for hearted discussion anymore? By your reaction, and not limited to you, it seems people don't want to talk anymore. It seems like it has turned into "post your opinion, but nothing after that."

Anyways. Have a good night. Or day.

Frankly, hours worth of working overtime has stripped me of any energy to argue anything. Im more geared up for the other new series anyway. When GOT comes out, I'm sure I'll have lots to say. And you have a good night yourself.

  • I agree, sorta. Sixteen months is a long, long time, roughly four times the length of season one and two's timeline combined, and in the post-apocalyptic hellscape the game takes place, it almost feels like time is worth double. The bond Christa and Clem surely forged should be tough as nails and everlasting because I highly doubt there are many groups of people out there who don't belong to a community that could claim to have had as a long-lasting relationship as those two. Unfortunately, we're not privy to anything that transpired during their travels together and subsequently their relationship, to our eyes, feels like it may as well just have been 16 minutes.

Lee still had the biggest impact on her, in my opinion. He taught her how to shoot a gun, he's the reason she keeps her short, his morals still resonate strongly with her and he's the one who rescued her from the treehouse and sent on the path she's on.

It would still be nice to know what exactly what impact Christa did or didn't have on her.
