  • I know that, (But didn't at the time) But some people have questioned me on that choice.

In terms of writing, Long Road Ahead is great, but I it's just overly long when it doesn't have to be and the train puzzle completely stops all the momentum that was building up to that point, that's why I don't like it at least.

And Episode 5 of Season 2 was, imo, the best episode of Season 2, followed by AHD and IHW at 2 and 3. I think these three are great episodes and IHW, while far from perfect, is still a great episode and one of my personal favorites, it doesn't deserve all the hate it gets.

No Going Back is my favorite episode of S2, and my second favorite episode of the series overall

Around Every Corner is an underrated episode

I actually preferred Jane over Molly

I actually liked both Jane and Kenny, and found the choice of choosing between them to be difficult

Even though I tried to help Larry, I never held any of the hissy-fits Kenny threw towards me against him (leaving me under the door, etc)

I knew it was going down hill, when the game didn't give me the option to pick up my gun, before walking into the stall. I just knew, and then Clementine magically survives being tossed in a river, and washes up downstream unconscious.

What if Season two was all a dream, it would explain how Kenny came back to life, but why would Kenny become more evil? That is a question, if it was a dream, maybe Clementine subconsciously remembers Kenny that way, like when he smashed Larry's head in with a Salt Lick. So imo she would dream Kenny as this violent man.

That would explain to me a lot to me, if it was all a dream.

Like her kicking down a door.
    Her surviving a gun shot,
Her Magically running into Wellington/Kenny/Carver the second time.

Here is what i don't get, say if i walked from one destination, to another for four day straight. I think that is how long the group walked for, how would Carver know what direction to go. Did he go north,South , West, East. It makes Absolutely no sense, that they ran into each other. For days of walking, right...

I wouldn't say it's the best of Season 2 for me, but it's immensely underrated, a great start to the season. I didn't enjoy it the first time I played it, but every time I go back, I enjoy it more and more.

People give Carver too much sympathy and act like episode 3 ruined him - he's a great villain, but not a likable charcter.

  • Is Nate still unpopular, he was when i liked him. I don't want him to be in Season three because i feel the writers would probably ruin his character, at this point.

Well since it seems likely Nick Breckon will return as head writer for S3, I doubt he could ruin his character since he helped write the 400 Days DLC.

IMO Carver was seen through a perspective, as a evil dude. People aren't evil. People are just people. I feel like we were robbed of a chance to get to know the character, and we were only shown one side of him. People aren't like that, i have many sides to my personality.

Sometimes the bad man comes out. I got to put him back in his cage, like the blind demon guys in Resident Evil four.

I agree. I really liked it because playing as Clem felt like we were realistically playing as a young girl as opposed to later episodes where she's kicking down doors and getting shot without any real consequence. The first two episodes were pretty good...and then the game just got worse and never recovered.

What I liked about Carver was that, from my perspective, he epitomizes exactly what a world like this can turn people into. I don't believe that people are born evil, but due to the events that occur around them and the environment they live in, people can become evil and lose who they once were. That is exactly what happened to Carver, he represents that lost sense of humanity that can happen to people as a result of this world. Consumed by the power that he was given and the position he was put in, it led him to become this brutal dictator that feels he can get away with whatever he wants. However, he tries to justify his actions by saying it is for the good of the community. "Killing one in order to save many is part of survival." And we see in people like Bonnie that his people bought it and willfully submit to him as a result. He terrifies them, giving off the image that if they step one toe out of line and put the danger of this community at risk, he will not hesitate to kill them. That's just my perspective of him though.

And sorry, I never played Resident Evil.

  • I wanted Lilly to come back, rather than Kenny.
It would have made a bit more sense, and she deserved a redemption story arc, where as Kenny's story was wrapped up in season 1.

  • IMO Carver was seen through a perspective, as a evil dude. People aren't evil. People are just people. I feel like we were robbed of a chance to get to know the character, and we were only shown one side of him.

To be fair, given that we're a bunch of prisoners and dissenting ex-members of his community, it makes sense that we would only really see him from that perspective. These characters have pretty much cemented themselves on his bad side.

    • Lee was a boring character (Yay! Another game where we play as an adult. Like we don't have enough of them)

    • I almost like Ben more than Lee

    • All season 2 episodes were better than all season 1 episodes

    • I want Clem as season 3 main character (If not, no season 3)
^ I say this, because if Clem's story ends here, and we start with a brand new character, then it's like ending Rick's story in The Walking Dead TV-Show (and the comics) and then just start with a brand new character.

    • I dislike the people who says "I want Clem dead", "Clem's story has come to an end", "Clem is a boring and uninteresting character". I mean seriously? She's 11 years old! She doesn't have to be funny and interesting (as some of you don't think she is)

I don't get why people like Luke. Ever since episode 1, I never got why he was so special. He was bland, weakly developed, and we basically didn't know the guy from a hole in the ground. It was the same throughout the entire season and overall, I couldn't care less when he died. Sure, he was a nice guy... But that was probably it for me. Didn't hate him... Didn't like him either.

Sorry, I went on far too long with the Luke thing. Every goddamn time someone says they love Luke I just- I just don't get it!

    Anyway....

I actually liked Arvo. Sure, I was never actually nice to him in-game, but I can't hate him. I just can't. I don't know why. I respect him for shooting me, since I was a really big dick towards him. He took a stand, made his mark on Clem... Literally. You know, probably left a scar... Nvm. Just don't ever shoot her again, pls.

    That's it, I think.

Oh, and I love Kenny. I think that counts since hatred towards him seems to stamp out the love towards him.

  • It's a good episode, but I just feel it's overrated. From the moment I saw them, I knew something was up with the St. John's, I didn't think it was cannibalism though until Brenda refused to let me see Mark. Speaking of Mark, he was only a character created just so no one from the group would be eaten. And in terms of overall plot, not much happens other than stealing from The Stranger's car and Larry's death. There were some nice Lee and Clem moments, but not that much really happens this episode. Overall, my 6th favorite episode.

I think that Clementine Should Have Been a Lesbian with Sarah. I Love Kenny and Jane, I rather have Clem die than luke, and I find episode 4 the most enjoyable episode of the franchise. Now If you'll excuse me, I'll be in my flame war bunker.

  • To me it felt like the episode was trying to show what would humans really do in a post- apocalyptic situation. The meat locker scene alone really demonstrated what pragmatism and pure fear will do to a man. In a nutshell, it was a giant "what would you do?" episode in a more extreme sense, and I thought it really fit the TWD universe. It also had great atmospheric pacing too. From peaceful calming moments with Clem and the group, to a big yet subtle barnyard showdown.
