How do you think TWD would be, if the game was designed by NaughtyDog, instead of Telltale?

We all saw what NaughtyDog did with The Last Of Us.
Superb graphics, great music, and also a good storyline.

What do you think The Walking Dead would've been like in the hands of NaughtyDog?

  • Clementine would say fuck every 2 seconds.

  • The style of the game would definitely and obviously be different. I like Telltale's style, it's unique, and it follows the "comic" look.

  • Clementine would have been bitten by Crash Bandicoot instead of Sam.

  • The Last of Us. The Last of Us. The Last of Us. I didn't want to believe it but I knew it would be the claim to this thread so fuck it

  • No. Telltale has a certain way with their games, No matter how much better the graphics or whatever would be like if another company made it, it just wouldn't be as good IMO

  • First comment I see, and it's already a steryotype about ellie.

  • I personally Loved The Last of us, and by the wall all you angry internet mobs, Not EVERY element of the Zombie Apocalypse is fucking filled with excitement. It would be boring at times, but the game is played for the story, get over it.

Now, as I said, the Last of us is a Fantastic game, does it deserve the praise it gets? No, It should recieve a little less, But to see telltale make a walking dead game in the Style of Games Like Uncharted, Heavy Rain, and The Last of Us would be quite a thriller, IMO The Wolf Among us would be PERFECT for that concept.

  • Just a little? All I hear about is the fucking Last of Us over and over again. Its become a broken record that never wants to just shut up

  • Okay, a bit more than a little, but people never shut the fuck up about how Ocarina of Time is the best game ever, when it clearly is not, but no one is upset about that. Ocarina of time is the shittiest zelda game.

I thought it was good not the best mind you (the original was my favorite) I think Half Life, Fallout 3 and Heavy Rain are among the best games ever made and they didn't get talked about nearly enough as this fucking game did

  • Different.. It would of been different in the hands on Naughty Dog. But to be honest The Last of Us and Telltale The Walking Dead are the only two games that did it right for me.. you know.. the formula that other games and even movies are trying so hard to copy.. The relationship between two people.

The Last Of Us deserves all the praise it gets, But we have to remember who did the formula first and succeeded.. Telltale.

Is it a stereotype that she constantly says fuck? No, it isn't because she does, lmao.

  • If this is a universe where Naughty Dog made TWD instead of TLOU then I think not much would change too drastically. When I was playing TLOU I've seen a lot of similarities between the two in terms of story both from S1 and S2 of TWD. I guess if one major thing would change it would probably be Lee not dying at the end of S1. Other than that the graphics would be 10x better.

You know what, let's go the full mile

What if Naughty Dog made The Walking Dead in their style (third-person, action-adventure, etc), while Telltale did The Last of Us in their style (point and click, choice-based, episodic, etc)?

That's even more interesting to think about

  • im just waiting for season 3 nothing else

  • Touche.

In third person, regular graphics, Clementine immune, and 65 year time skip. PLAY AS CLEMENTINE, A 70 YEAR OLD WOMEN TRYING TO SURVIVE WITH A WORLD GONE MAD.

    11/10 IGN

ALSO NO SEASON 3 UNTIL 2017.

  • If this game series was made by Naughty Dog, it would become another "The Crap of Us," oops, I mean "The Last of Us." I'm sorry, it's just that "The Last of Us" was the most overrated, repetitive game I have ever played in my entire life.

  • dang that be awesome

  • Shorter waits between episodes along with better graphics. Similar idea if Quantic Dream took over Walking Dead I'd like to believe.

  • Then the psychotic southern guy would be a half-way decent character.

  • lmao wtf

    Stereotype?

    Dear god, someone help me.

Ah yes, the most "repetitive" game of all time. A game that features robust yet simple to learn stealth mechanics, extremely visceral gunplay, slow yet ambient exposition walks amongst varied and interesting backdrops to help pace the other mechanics, and the game mixing up several sequences of horseback riding.

And why is The Last of Us subjugated to the "overrated" title so predominantly as it's Achilles Heel? It's as bad as when those same people hate Ellie because God forbid a thirteen year old swear... like all thirteen year olds do.

  • The game would force you to kill the shit out of hundreds of people and still wants you to feel like you're the good guy. Oh, and Clementine could run slalom between the walker's legs because little girls are obviously invisible to them.

  • I'm not talking about the spelling, I'm talking about the word choice.

  • Everyone shall capitulate to it. It is certain. The only question is when.

  • Um. Well, it is a Stereotype that all Ellie does is say fuck. If you were scarred by a zombie apocalypse and Felt alone most of your life, I'm pretty damn sure you would say "Fuck" a lot too.

I'm not talking about the spelling, I'm talking about the word choice.

  • It would be weird and it would suck

  • That's... not a stereotype because it's true. A stereotype is a widely held but fixed and oversimplified image or idea of a particular type of person or thing.

For example, there's the stereotype that blondes are dumb, that black people love fried chicken (but like who doesn't?), that all muslims are terrorists. Of course, all of these aren't true, but numb-skulled morons think so because, well, they're morons.

I don't think there can even be a stereotype on one individual person. Considering the fact that it's just someone saying "she says 'fuck' a lot." That's no where near a stereotype.

Um. Well, it is a Stereotype that all Ellie does is say fuck. If you were scarred by a zombie apocalypse and Felt alone most of your life, I'm pretty damn sure you would say "Fuck" a lot too.

  • The game would be bad, because TLOU sucked.

  • It would seem The Last of Us is just another game that can't be discussed at all anymore. A lot of people that dislike the game are stubbornly stuck in their reasoning that because they perceive it to be "overrated," it's terrible. As if it's the only thing that tarnishes the whole experience for them. The loose term of something being "overrated" does not justify squandering the entire experience as if it's an Achilles Heel.

And I also don't come to terms that because a teenage girl cusses a lot (something that every teenager does) that makes her completely unsympathetic and a waste. The sensibilities are so far removed from any rationale that it truly defies understanding. Hell, I wouldn't be surprised if people hated Joel for his egregious choice of flannel or hating Tess because of her hair style. It's mental, I've heard good arguments as to why The Last of Us was a disappointment, but there's so much unnecessary hatred on the part of the game it drives me crazy.

And in my opinion, I believe this all started when the game was announced as a Playstation exclusive and it drove many of the "PC master race" fans up the wall and there was huge campaign to get it on the PC in which Naughty Dog responded by basically telling them to go fuck themselves and it really got a lot of them really butthurt. What's good is good.

  • or you know people just don't like it and have a different opinion to yours? not everyone has to like the messiah of gaming

i honestly don't remember this happening at all do you have a article or something that says this actually happened? cause as someone who also plays on pc along with my consoles and as someone who knows a huge amount of pc players i have barely even hear anyone bitching about how tlou isn't on it in fact in my experience it seems most don't even care for it unless they have a playstation as well i know that there are petitions but from what i have seen they are just the casual ones that get put up whenever a game doesn't get put on pc

  • It's one of those things that's become so popular it's "hip" to hate it. As with everything, there are very valid reasons for disliking the game, but I find people rarely care to elaborate. Yes, it's a bit of a retread of other ZA plotlines, but the depth and nuance pushes it above the others and makes it phenomenal in my eyes.

Again, just my opinion. I'm fairly aware of the flaws.
