Ok as someone who doesn't read the comic or watch the show, I have to say all the hype about this "big announcement" is quite disappointing really. I have no idea who this character is so I can't get all excited at the thought of playing as her. o.O I will probably buy it as I have no opinion on her either way and even if I did, it's still more walking dead gameplay to tie us over until S3. (Well... for a little while. I know everyone got antsy after completing 400 days in the first week it was out..) However, I was expecting something all game fans would be able to relate to. I.e. Christa/Molly/Lilys adventures. A character that everyone who's played the game knows who's fate was never fully explored.
No im talking about the whiny fans who are whining because the dlc is not clem or christa or the cabin group they should be happy we are getting something rather then nothing because telltale is a kind loving company who makes games for us people on forums always find crap to whine about its always like that

I wanted to add that what makes the TWD games here in TellTale so great is that they use original characters. It all takes place in TWD universe, but instead of lazily taking the established characters from the comic series and show, they created these new, original characters that really brought something new to the universe with their tales and struggles and expanded it beyond the people we already know via the show and comic books. Bringing in Hershel and Glenn in season 1, and thus at the beginning of the ZA and before their characters were established is very different than to bring in Michonne who's been established and is already a full fledged character on both the comics and tv show. I am happy David Alpert LOVES and ADORES Michonne, but most of us fans dont. Of all people. So why bring us something we didnt ask for? Now ok if you dont want to bring in Clem cause she is season 3 - I get that. But be original, bring something else to the table beside the people we already know ad nauseum from the comics and show. if you want to do the perpendicular thing then bring in an original character and have them have something to do with one of the established characters. Like we saw Glenn. But dont make us BE that main comic book character. This is just lazy and i am disappointed. To make matters worse, none of this will take place until the Fall, which, knowing telltale, probably means late October/November. And where is season 3 while we are fed this filler? Oh yeah, probably Fall 2016, which means TWD game would have had been on hiatus for 2 fucking years!! Who makes these decisions?
Hopefully not! It's a mini-series so maybe it'll be released as its own separate game instead of extra DLC episodes to S2. So hopefully we'll get a digital and physical copy for Vita.

I was just expecting that we will play as some new original character and the "comics fans should be pleased" or something like that? I thought that they meant "there will be comics characters cameos".

Tewudin but we dont know michonnes journey along the way which overall makes me excited to see if we meet any new faces not in the comics along the way i know we all know what will happen its just personally a good mini-series idea in my opinion

I do have some hesitations since I've never read the comics and don't know her storyline there, and her personality seems to be pretty established so I don't know how much player choice is going to affect this. Still, for me they couldn't have picked a better character to follow.
