Lee was in a bad mental state, which is why we understand his crime. Arvo had just been tied up and abused.
Also the Lee flashback basically tells us not to judge him for it.
People take Arvo shooting Clementine as justification for Kenny abusing him, but if Kenny hadn't abused him then Mike wouldn't be trying to help Arvo escape in the first place.
I find it unfair too.
I just don't like the idea that Kenny is seen as in the right for taking a defenceless and crippled kid hostage and… more go on to physically and verbally abuse him for the majority of the final episode, simply because in the end he's railroaded into shooting down Clementine when he tries to escape from Kenny.
As for the ambush event, it's never stated who carried out the plan, and we're supposed to believe that a frail looking teenaged boy with a leg brace is the mastermind behind it all, and certainly not the other three group members who look stronger and capable than him.
What could Arvo do in between being beaten? At least Lee didnt have to worry about possibly being beaten to death. He might have redeemed himself id given half a chance.
Lee redeemed himself by taking care of Clementine, TTG and Dave Fennoy have said that a million times.

Instead, because of Kenny's abuse, he became resentful, angry, frightened and vengeful, resulting in him shooting Clementine. I consider Kenny partly responsible for Clementine getting shot because of that.

This can of course be influenced by selfishness, but no-one does something they consider to be evil, because if they do it to bring positives to themselves, then they don't view it as absolutely morally wrong.
People make their own choices in life. I really hate when people don't take responsibility for their actions, its a huge pet peeve. Lots of people get beaten, constantly, daily, they don't just shoot a random person. Arvo made his own choice, you can't blame kenny for that one.
The "Kenny has done horrible things" should just stay dead. It's unbearably annoying, it starts pointless fights & it's overall just a waste of time. And I'm sure you have much better things to do with your time.
