happy endings can happen in zombie fiction, look at Day of the Dead, they end up on a beach sipping cocktails xD i don't see it as a cop-out for a dream sequenece or happy ending to be written, too much death can sometimes hurt the game (look at ep4 s2),and the story although called TWD doesnt neccesarlly have to be about the characters dying every 10 minutes or so. George Romero said it best ..TWD is like a soap opera....you know like 'Dallas'
That wouldn't even really work if Hershel and Glenn weren't in the comics. It is corny, as corny as if Lee was still alive. But fact is, Her… moreshel and Glenn are in the comics. So, you're saying Rick is in a coma and dreams up the exact same people as Clementine, same looks, same personality, same farm? How about no. 'It was all a dream' is the worst cop-out in existence. Kirkman has already said that it's all really happening in the comics. The game is bound to the comics by canon, and Kirkman would never allow Telltale to do something like that.
I'm not saying that zombie fiction can't have a happy ending. I'm not even saying that TWD can't have a happy ending eventually. But the happy ending will not be 'It was all a dream.'
Kirkman, the author and creator himself, has already neglected that several times. I don't understand why people come back to this all the time. The author has said it won't happen. Telltale is bound by the author's canon. It won't happen. End of story.

Hm... that's a good question but you've to admit that MOST of those who are talking about dream theory are fond of it because of an idea that Lee might be still alive. Like I said, MOST. Not all of them I imagine.

There is a similar theory about Harry Potter. it says that everything was just a dream.. Hogwarts was just an imaginary place, an illusion that Harry created to escape his Muggle parents..
That would be infuriating. It would mean all the emotional trauma Season 1&2 caused was just an eight year old girl's imagination.
And come on - do you think Season One Clem could dream up something that violent?
Season 3 is currently "deep in development" according to the Michonne Blog post.
The Telltale team has been very hard at work in the world of the undead, and while a full third season of The Walking Dead is also currently deep in development, we don’t expect to be able to share any details until after this miniseries concludes. What we can say is that we expect this to be our biggest year for The Walking Dead we’ve ever had, and we’re excited to share this decidedly very different story with Michonne that will explore some themes we’re truly excited about bringing to the interactive space.
Some people just refuse to believe that Lee is dead and they want that "dream" thing to actually happened. How unfortunate that Telltale already confirmed that it isn't a dream. Everything that happened, happened.
Wow, this year seems like it's going to be pretty big not just for Walking Dead, but for Telltale fans overall. Just look at everything they've hinted or confirmed we get this year.

What's interesting to note; when they say that this year is intended to be "the biggest year for The Walking Dead," that could potentially mean we could see a bare minimum of at least three or more episodes from Season 3 this year. I say that assuming they mean the "biggest year" in terms of how many episodes are released. 2012 had five episodes from Season 1 in one year, so to top that, they would at least need one episode more (in other words, from five to six episodes) to make 2016 bigger than 2012, keeping in mind Michonne is already three episodes.
By that logic, assuming we get a bare minimum of three Season 3 episodes this year, we could see a premiere of Season 3 by October at the very latest if they stick with Monthly episodes for Season 3 like they have for Minecraft and Michonne.

Although this might be unlikely, I still think there's a chance for another one-off DLC episode like 400 Days, since Michonne is really just a spin-off. Like in July, June, or August. It would have to obviously relate to Season 3, but you know.
Assuming Minecraft ends in March, I think with Michonne ending in April, we can expect something in the 'summer drought', which occurred also after Season 1 released, which is where 400 Days came out. It would have to be shown at E3 probably. I don't think they would release Batman in May, since we haven't gotten any real news about that, and I think June is also off-limits for Batman as well, putting it in the August/September/October/November/December range. I also don't think they would start Season 3 or Batman in the same month, so yeah. I think it's possible Season 3 October, Batman September or November.

Now that they've literally said its "deep in development" and that its being constantly worked on, that's honestly brought my levels up to around that point
I can't believe its happening, especially with how Season 2 could end in so many different ways
Yeah, I'm sure they have been strongly hinting at Season 3 this year. I don't see what else they could be hinting at beyond that, so I'm thinking Season 3 is also a safe bet despite what I previously thought.
Eh, jokes aside; I honestly don't think it will be bad for them. They've really sized up in the time that has passed since Season 2, and even back then, they were big enough to have two series in production and two in pre-production.
Edit: Also, I think that since Michonne and Season 3 have had more time in the oven (instead of them trying to get the next Season out within the year or so after the last, as was the case with Seasons 1 and 2), I think that will help the story quality be a little more consistent if that is what you were alluding to. Since Telltale is back to focusing on quick releases (meaning fewer changes mid Season like for Wolf/Dead 2/Tales/Thrones/etc.) and Telltale isn't pushing 90 minute episodes any more (which will give us more time to breathe and know characters), I think that will also help give Michonne and Season 3 a few ways to have a leg up over Season 2.
I'm not counting on anymore surprises; Michonne was supposed to be our equivalent of 400 Days for Season 1, except I imagine they focused on Michonne so they could give us more Walking Dead games while not commiting to any plot details that would be forced to influence what direction they take Season 3 in.

Man, 2016 is going to be packed for Telltale.

That's just my speculation, anyways. Clem_Is_Awesome could also be right in that they meant two TWD games this year, but even so - it seems like Telltale is making an effort to release a lot more, and I could still see them getting a few episodes in. Even if we only get one or two episodes of Walking Dead S3, we still have episodes from Batman and potentially Game of Thrones S2 to fill in the time. If past experience is any indication, Telltale is not a big fan of extended downtime between series. With Michonne ending in April and Minecraft ending early 2016, that leaves a lot of downtime until late Fall, and with Telltale going back to quick releases, I can see them taking up releases in different parts of the year moving onward.
At different points, they've teased/confirmed Minecraft Episode 5, Michonne, Batman, Walking Dead S3, and Game of Thrones S2 - and that's not even counting their first Super Show, which they seemingly hinted last February on Twitter would be "a part of Telltale's focus in 2016 and beyond," since the Super Show potentially could have been pushed back some. (Kevin Bruner originally tweeted we would know who they were working with for the first Super Show by last Summer, which never happened...)
There is a similar theory about Harry Potter. it says that everything was just a dream.. Hogwarts was just an imaginary place, an illusion that Harry created to escape his Muggle parents..
If you want, you can remove the spoiler tag for this post since most if not all people have played Episode 205. For waiting threads, the expectation is that people have played past episodes to completion (although spoilers for the current episode are frowned upon, though).
@AChicken - We've got what? Maybe 5 series this year? --> Minecraft ending, TWD Michonne, Batman, (possibly) Game of Thrones S2, and (hopefully) the Super Show and WD Season 3? ... I've never seen so many of their series scheduled for release during one whole year.
@Blind - In terms of quantity of series scheduled, it does sound like a lot, but keep in mind that Michonne was delayed from last Fall and Minecraft only has its Season Finale left. Granted, Batman/Walking Dead: Season 3/Game of Thrones: Season 2 sounds like a lot, but that's mainly just one more Season a year than the last few years.
@Blind - [just now] Man, 2016 is going to be packed for Telltale.
Therefore, you DO admit it is a big year for Telltale...

I was never denying it was a super big year for Telltale, I was just saying that it wasn't as big as five whole seasons scheduled entirely for one year. As I said in my first quote, Minecraft's finale is carrying over from last year, and Michonne is only three episodes. If you combine Michonne and Minecraft Episode 5, that would be four episodes, which would be close to one whole Season. So, if Batman/Walking Dead S3/Game of Thrones S2 get a good portion of their episodes out this year with quick releases, that would still be super large, but it would be closer to three or four Seasons worth of content in one year, and not necessarily five entire Seasons' worth of content in one year if that makes sense.
I never disagreed with you that this year was going to be super big in spite of that.
Ah ha! I told you so!

So... how exactly will this be the ''biggest year for The Walking Dead we’ve ever had''? I mean after a full Season 1 we soon got the 400 Days DLC, and now its simply the reverse - we get the Michonne Mini-series (a standalone DLC really) and then we'll get Season 3. What exactly will make this year a bigger year for TWD than the previous years Telltale has worked on TWD? Could it really be because Season 3 itself will somehow be 'bigger'?
I suspect 5 hours long every episode, or the dlc for s3, it will be big. Or twd s2 will have as dlc, continue your story as Clementine. Like ep6,ep7,ep8 something like that.

I just beat the 2nd season ( I kno I'm a lil late lol) but I cant wait for season 3! I want more Clem!! from wat I heard they are gonna do another time skip and shes gonna be 14 now. Not sure on wat I think about tht. Also I guess its cool to have AJ around but honestly in a world like tht one I think hes just going 2 be a burden and old her back, could just be me. Id rather have more of just Clem kicking ass and surviving by herself and growing more as a character. That's just my opinion though. As long as they have MORE CLEMINTINE I wont mind if AJ sticks around.

Hm... that's a good question but you've to admit that MOST of those who are talking about dream theory are fond of it because of an idea that Lee might be still alive. Like I said, MOST. Not all of them I imagine.
Sorry to be the one who breaks the news… Lee isn't real. He's a fictitious character.

You're getting all giddy with excitement by this aren't you? I can tell by your posts XD
Nah, they definitely mean that just because they have 2 TWD games coming out. Expect at least 1 episode of season 3 this year.
I hadn't thought about it like that, but I can see that being the case too.
Either way, it still means that Season 3 is coming out this year, right? Right?
It could also mean this is the only year where they've had too much TWD on their hands.
MY HYPE LEVEL FOR S3 IS OVER 9000!!!!!!
