True, but I just wish she would use his army, they'd have a better chance at winning ;_; doesn't help that I'm a Baelish fan...
Also the actor who plays him confirmed that Littlefinger didn't know about Ramsay and that he will regret it this season:)
It wouldnt feel true if Sansa didnt give him the tongue lashing she did. That wasnt impulsive. She probably thought long and hard about Bael… moreish all the time Ramsey was abusing her. Why would she trust him and she doesnt even know the part he played in her parents deaths. I wouldnt even believe a word he said, eventhough I want to think he was telling the truth about Blackfysh. Still, you must be glad that she is still protecting him by not telling Jon about talking to him. She is probably going to end up asking him for help.
Dany forgiving Jorah was nice, her trying to stay queenly while she did it was also quite sweet
Watching the play adaption of season 1 was funny (arya is still so black and white about things isnt she)
That new priestess is pretty interesting and the first time the meereen plot has interested me. However Dany may end up going the stannis route if she is not careful
The north group setting off from the wall was good, I didint want them to be there much longer (sansa should have taken littlefingers help though)
The final battle felt like it was out of a different show and was suitably creepy though
Meera killing that white walker made her one of my favorite characters, also it made me laugh so hard.
Hodor
Meh
The greyjoy stuff was fine.
I dont know how Jaqen even considers arya is no one she asks obnoxious questions about what she is doing constantly
We are now at the halfway point, hopefully there is a bit of a skip to the characters destination, I dont think we can afford another episode on the road
The CGI budget is really hurting the wolves....I dont see why they see them as such an afterthought given all the work they put into the wights and dragons
So ....the white walkers now have a wight Hodor?
Negatives
Why did varys start antagonizing the priest? Yeah he doesnt like her but hes the master of whispers, that just seemed plain out of character for him to be so forthcoming
A safe place?, the last remnants of a species?, People you care about? NAH Brans going dream walkabout! Seriously bran causes half the problems in the series, the little twat.
This time changing/time loop stuff is crappy and I really hope they dont do much more of it. I'd rather Bran and Meera get killed by wights
Varys hates magic so he couldn't control his anger. Bran was bored and didn't realize that would happen. He was most likely hoping to see more of his families past. As for the time looping being crappy well I guess I understand, but I personally love it.

It's not really even budget question, but apparently making the direwolves is painfully hard - much harder than dragons. They actually have to film real wolves in Canada to do the trick. Then the question is of course, do we rather take the minimal screentime and them being killed off with the amazing realism they have now, or obnoxiously-clearly-cgi wolves with more screentime.
I'd also like to point out that Summer dying when White Walkers attack serves a certain symbolism.

I was a little disappointed they missed the perfect opportunity to mention the Forrester's and/or the Whitehill's when Jon and Davos are listing houses that would fight. I say "or" because I know mentioning the Forrester's might be a bit odd right now as they're no longer in power at Ironrath, but maybe a thrown in "Whitehills and (insert other small houses) will fight for the Boltons". I'm definitely not expecting or wanting anything huge or distracting, just a little nod to the telltale audience that HBO still acknowledges the game exists in it's universe.

Baelish used his teleporter to reach Mole's Town in a single episode, passing Ramsay at Winterfell without even having his army... which Sansa turned down flat, despite how desperately they need soldiers.
More pointless Arya scenes that did absolutely nothing except make me want to check my phone. (Has anyone actually cared about her storyline since she left the Hound in 'The Children?') I don't know what I'm more sick of - Arya getting beaten up with a stick, or the High Sparrow delivering one of his many, identical speeches. At least we avoided that this time around.
And damn, was that parody of the first season awful and cringy. It was good in "The Lion and the Rose" (and actually felt like it belonged in the universe) but here, it made me want to fast forward for the first time ever, it was so bad. Almost unwatchable. I hope that was the effect the writers wanted. Otherwise... eesh.
Thankfully, the Daenerys, Ironborn, and Castle Black scenes were great, I mean really great. They were the only part's I enjoyed in the episode. I really liked hearing about Riverrun and the Blackfish, and how they're bringing all that back. It sucks even "House Hornwood" got a mention, while the Forrester's didn't though, but that was to be expected.
Lastly, the whole Bran stuff was just as terrible, I thought. He fucked things up by going into the past alone, as I've long anticipated, which ended up with Summer's and the Three-Eyed-Raven's (anticlimactic) death and then Hodor's (climatic death). I don't know why, but I just felt so disconnected throughout the scene - but when Summer died, I almost laughed. Not because I'm a sadist, I freaked the fuck out when Shaggydog's head got slammed on the table, but here it just felt like: "lol k den"
The origins of Hodor's name was as clever as it was satisfying - but the way it was all set-up and executed, just left me more amused and annoyed than anything. I agree with @Brodester08 it really was "the strangest episode of GoT to date."
It was also my least favourite of the season so far. (I thought the premiere was serviceable, episodes 2 and 3 were amazing, 4 was decent, but 5 sucked). I'm not usually this negative - GoT, after all, is my favourite show and book series of all time... but this was just flat-out poor, in my opinion. I hope the next one is better.
Guys... I can't even deal right now. It's not even only Hold the Door that has me up at night... But my dear Summer! How can I watch so many ppl die for Bran like this?!
Like everything in the episode was really good. Loved the Kingsmoot and glad to hear Euron taking a step in the right direction. Hopefully if Yara prevails they can follow his lead.
Sansa is turning into LF right in front of our eyes. I love it so much. Love Torriene even more! Can't wait to finally see the fearless Mormont leader.
Yes Dany, you know what really matters now!! We need Jorah alive, no matter what. WE ALL COMMAND IT!
I'm so glad Arya kept her cool. It was good to see everyone have their own type of look back into the past at some point. I was just as mad about the play as she was. I really hope she doesn't end up serving the many faced God, and uses her talents to actually help her family.
Tyrion always trying to keep the peace, but good to see Varys get a bit emotional. Until she completely roasted his life!
And Brans aspect of the episode was beautifully made. From the creation of the white walkers to the confrontation... God I can't even.
Which is heartbreaking. I mean we all kinda expected bran to go down with the ship, but it's not like we wanted it. If Jon came back, then dammit every Stark will.

Oh, I didn't catch that they mentioned the Glovers. Still isn't really a direct reference though, the Glovers are not exclusive to the game. But that's what the Forresters and Whitehills get for being smaller houses.

I get that. it just didn't feel "Game of Thrones" to me. At all. Like I said in my original post, when they did this at Joffrey's wedding, it felt uncomfortable, but it was meant to... and it fit the setting and worked. Narratively speaking, anyway. Here, I just don't really buy that people in Braavos are watching a terrible play based upon the (alarmingly accurate) events of the first season, which, on the show's timeline, happened 5 years ago? It was just all very strange, and I'm going to pretend that I never saw any of it, I think. :P

I certainly hope so. It was so painful watching that scene because you know they're not going to mention the Forrester's, yet you just wait and watch, holding on to that one little crumb of hope... but it did get me thinking, maybe the north thinks the Forrester's are dead. Let's face it, all that really remains, are Asher / Rodrik with Duncan / Royland, in hiding somewhere. Or worse, by this point.
Or, perhaps, (which is more likely) when they say the Glover's, they mean the Forrester's as well. They are basically one and the same. I suppose we shall see... but fighting to reclaim Deepwood Motte in Season 2 would be really cool
I was certainly Not a fan of that.

We dont see a lot of that sort of thing but it didnt seem horrendously out of place to me. Theyve probably been putting on repeat performances of that play all over the place. I thought it was amusing to see something a little different. I know some people dont enjoy any kind of bawdy humor but I didnt mind it. The penis guy I wasnt prepared for but okay, lol.

This was an awesome episode. It had a different feel to it, because Bran's storyline took the front seat, and his storyline is the most "high fantasy" of the show. It kinda caught me off guard and with the first viewing the last sequence felt so chaotic that I couldn't quite digest it all. However, with second viewing it was much better, and I could really feel the tragedy of it all. Some no doubt complain about Summer's death, and it's probably true that they are quite eager to kill the wolves off because how hard it is to do them, but his death was also symbolic. He died protecting Bran, and it was winter that killed Summer. And Hodor... sorry, Wylis, he is the true hero here. I also read someone mentioning that 3ER death had a bit of Obi-Wan in it, and I can certainly agree.
The theater troupe was amazing! Pretty much as I imagined it from the book - the way they act I mean, not the theater itself or the plot of the parody. It brought much needed comedic relief to the episode. And what comes to Arya, this episode kinda left us wondering if she really is learning to become no one or not. She surely has changed - she is much more humble and less arrogant than she used to bet, but I don't know, that scene of her once again watching her father's "execution" from the crowd surely told us there is still some Arya left in that girl.
Sansa shined in this episode. She is powerful and she is cunning, I could definitely see her ruling. I guess we'll soon see how good is she at persuading the lords of the North to her cause.
Dany and Meereen were both great. Dany showing some human side again, after the god-like spectacle of last week. The moment between her and Jorah was very bittersweet. And in Meereen I digged this new R'hllor priestess - she has a terrifying presence. Varys was fucking spooked, and it was amazing
I expected perhaps a tiny bit more from the Kingsmoot, but it was still a good scene. Nice to see them taking that storyline towards Dany
I never thought he really cared about her in a way that wasn't his obsessive need to have a younger, more pliable replacement for Cat. I cant stand him having anything to do with her. But I guess we'll see if he still comes through with the Vale army after she rejected him.
He's bad in the same way anyone in Westeros is bad. He's just too focused on politics.

I'm glad he showed some damn respect. Hopefully that says something about the kind of man he is. As for Dany, seeing a more sensetive and em… moreotional side of her was a nice change of pace after the madness that was the last episode.
Do you give Jorah any chance at all?

I didn't think that was a quirky convo. Maybe I'm just getting more paranoid of Daario day by day, but I thought he was calling her out.
Is it just me, or am I very suspicious of Daario? Ever since he's gotten in the show he has always proclaimed that he came from slavery, and maybe I'm off here but I don't think slaves and magic mesh well. Ex: Varys.
I know I've heard some ppl talk about maybe he's working for the Sons of the Harpy, and I definitely think that he doesn't react the same way to magic as Jorah or the Dothraki do.
I think he'll try to kill her very soon. That's what will bring Jorah back.
I may be a fan of the villains in this show, but I feel like ppl like Jaime (and even Tyrion in some ways) Lannister, Jorah, Sandor Clegane, and last but not least Littlefinger (there are probably much more that fit the bill, whether major or minor but this is of the top of my head).
These are all characters that (in my
Opinion) started if on a very dark path but somethi happened to them early that turned them to a side of honor and virtue. Tyrion and Jaime are easy and favorable examples, as they were both (in different degrees but similar ways) rich assholes that did what they wanted no matter who it hurt. But when it hurt the wrong person, they almost hit a 180. Sandor Clegane is an easy example also, I mean you see how he was with Arya at the end.
I don't know about anyone else, but think Littlefiger changed the day that Ned was executed. And even more so when Cat and Robb died. But when Ned died, LF finally understood that the game of thrones wasn't just about having a favorable seat, it's also about making sure the right person was up top.
I'm not saying he's the most sane man, I mean shit what did Ned's brother do with that blade again?! That's not just a physical scar, that's a mental one. He definitely has some attachment issues, kinda like Snape in HP. But he is not as bad as people believe him to be.
Littlefinger may not be the nicest or most noble man, but all he wants is Sansa to rule Westeros. Can't say I agree with all his methods but they will work, as long as everyone doesn't get too emotional.
I never thought he really cared about her in a way that wasn't his obsessive need to have a younger, more pliable replacement for Cat. I can… moret stand him having anything to do with her. But I guess we'll see if he still comes through with the Vale army after she rejected him.

I get that. it just didn't feel "Game of Thrones" to me. :P
Lol yeah, just when I thought it couldn't get any worse... that happened.
I don't hate Dany anymore.
I was certainly Not a fan of that.
Speaking of the Glovers, I do hope that in Season 2 of our game, the Forresters will aid them. I have a feeling that Rodrik/Asher will help them reclaim Deepwood Motte.
Nor I. But I suppose male nudity was a long time... coming. (I'm so sorry)
Give her a couple episodes... She'll be back to her old self. Even in the preview for the next episode.
"You're a conqueror, Daenyres"
"I take what is mine"
Jeeeeeeeeez
Sometimes I wonder why the writers are giving Dany these lines.
Poor Tormund with his eyes full of stars and Brienne just shutting him down with a look lol
Considering she was saying that to Daario with a little smile on her face, it seemed more like a come on to him to anything to me.
I shudder to think who Baelish would consider worthy.
9/10 episode for me.
I never thought he really cared about her in a way that wasn't his obsessive need to have a younger, more pliable replacement for Cat. I cant stand him having anything to do with her. But I guess we'll see if he still comes through with the Vale army after she rejected him.
I dont know. I want to have hope but you know what this show does to your hopes and dreams.
Pilou Aesbeck is god tier actor.
That won't happen. TV shows and movies never mention the video game adaptions.
....I liked it. I thought it was good how it showed how little the smallfolk care for the game of thrones
I really liked the episode but the close up on the "sword of the morning" of the fake Joffrey shocked me.

Who would've believed Hodor is the most tragic character of the series
You are not, it was great
I may be a fan of the villains in this show, but I feel like ppl like Jaime (and even Tyrion in some ways) Lannister, Jorah, Sandor Clegane, and last but not least Littlefinger (there are probably much more that fit the bill, whether major or minor but this is of the top of my head).
At first I was like wtf, but then I remembered they wanted to show more penus
It's funny that this time the female parts being shown had actual context while the male one could've been avoided. Classic D&D
