Since 2014 fans of Telltale’s The Walking Dead have been following Season 3 news like it was the stock market. Finally, after years of anticipation we’re THRILLED to announce that you’ll get your first look at Season 3 THIS SUNDAY on IGN as a part of their E3 pre-show. In the meantime we’ve broken down the exciting timeline of ALL the hints/clues/promises that led us to Sunday’s reveal. Enjoy:

Eddie and Wyatt are confirmed as the new protagonists for Season 3, appearing in the clip below showcasing off the graphics in their new gam… moree engine. The premise revolves around Eddie and Wyatt meeting up with Clementine and toddler A.J, and the four going on an excellent adventure on a road trip to Mexico. The game will also for the very first time in the series, feature a full first person perspective.

There were some recent tweets about the updated graphics in the teaser footage:
The game will also feature killer zombie bees, and Mr. Crab to have featured in the Michonne Mini Series, will appear again with his extended family as the antagonists.

Does anybody remember how long it was before websites had their E3 streaming schedules up, like when Gamespot had their E3 Interview with Telltale listed online a few days before it happened?

I think that by saying that he "saw" some more of Sunday's teaser, it is going to be a form of multimedia, be it artwork, sort of like when they first announced Michonne, or an actual teaser trailer, which would be unexpected, and thus, freaking amazing. Either of those options will have to feature at least a small fraction of the cast, or maybe some scenery shots—which means Wellington!
And yeah, if it is just pieces of information, and not artwork nor a trailer, they're basically forced to tell us who the protagonist will be.

I'm guessing we will get a "reveal trailer" similar to Season 2. Notice the similarities in how Season 3 is going to "be revealed" this Sunday.

A straight up game demo would be a highly unusual way for Telltale to debut a new game when we don't even know story details, so don't get too hyped, but I thought it was interesting. What's worth noting is that "TBA - Game Demo" is not a generic catch-all placeholder as there is a TBA at 3:20 PM, unless the thing at 3:20 PM is Walking Dead and they just recommended we start watching 20 minutes early. I dunno.

Calling it a "TBA Game Demo" might be IGN's way of wording a placeholder for an announcement as the schedule is full of "TBA Game Demo" slots, i can't see them giving a full demo for season 3 at this moment in time and i feel ~20 mins should be a decent amount of time to talk about and tease season 3.
