Honestly , I don't see why we can't get news tomorrow , they've got two ratings , that's enough for a blog post. Besides , telltale wouldn't say the episode was coming soon at the beginning of the month , if it was coming at the end of the month.

Minecraft had a normal five episode Season, and after that ended, they are currently working on a three episode DLC mini series with Episodes 6-8 (kind of like Michonne, but not released as a separate game). After this, we still have Episode 8 coming up.

You were probably saying that as a joke, but actually, that kind of is right, as Episode 5 ties into the DLC whereas Episodes 1-4 had the main Season story so to speak. You could think of it as Minecraft having two Seasons with four episodes. Unlike typical (modern) Telltale episodes, Episodes 5-8 are mostly self contained stories.
If it makes you feel better, it's not like the money they make from Minecraft isn't going towards making Walking Dead Season 3, Batman, and other upcoming Telltale games better.
