Taking a break from the overly enthusiastic satirical posts, yes. Yes, I do.
But my standards have never been that high for anything. Quite frankly, as someone who does art as a hobby, I don't really see many problems myself. Maybe the framing could use a little work. I can agree that having the walker by the moon being on the same scale as Clementine and Javier is a bit offputting, if we're judging this based off the expected norms when it comes to cover art. But you know what? Does anyone really care about that shit? Well, technically yes. But for the most part, a majority of people don't. There's a lot of logic behind what makes good cover art, but half of the people that buy these games couldn't give less of a shit about how surgically precise you were with the framing and composition and whatnot. Most people's expectations for a cover amount to "does it look cool?"
And quite frankly, having that walker backlit by the moon-- making it somewhat reminiscent of that three wolf moon shirt-- more or less meets the standard expectations for 'cool' in the public eye, so yeah. Hell, just having Clementine on it bumps it up to 'awesome' level for most people, I'd expect.
By a more populous opinion, it's good. By a more critical opinion, I can understand the misgivings about the intrinsic quality of the image. But even then, not enough for it to be considered objectively bad, if you ask me. It definitely doesn't fall in that percentile.
Either way, it gets a passing grade from me. But I wouldn't put much stock in my grading scale. I haven't critically analyzed artwork in years now, because I find it boring, and no one really cares besides a bunch of scholars or overly pedantic people (no offense if you're either)
What's got me uneasy is the fact that Clementine isn't a focus in the picture, she's literally behind everyone else. It makes me feel like her role will be particularly small which I don't feel good about.
edit: and the only series we know is getting multiple seasons besides twd is got. people need to realize multiple seasons is the exception not the rule with telltale.
The comments on Facebook are really pissing me off. They finally give us some new info and a release date and all anyone can say is, "Enough… more with TWD. Give us new seasons to a series that was never even confirmed to have multiple seasons." Good fucking lord, nobody accepts good news when they see it.
I'm still hyped regardless, and while I'm a little dissapointed that it won't be premiering this month, I'm glad we got something at least.
Oh, calm down, people.
She's 2nd playable character and protagonist. It's her story from Season 1, and From Season 3 It's also Story of Javier and still her.
Telltale know how fans love Clem.
You don't need to worry.

Exactly my point. Clem has a reason to still have fans, Lee is still brought up everywhere and repeatedly asked to be back in the game and magicly come back to life. Clems whole point in s1 was to prepare her for s2.

You were evidently attempting to invalidate Time's critical stance on the released picture by saying "people will just find anything to complain about;" and do not deny it, because the juxtaposition of those two comments makes your intention clear.
I do not need to be better at a skill than the creator to recognize aspects that could be improved. It is both biased and childish of you to believe so.
how hypocritical of you to say im invalidating another persons opnion by saying there complaning but all I did way give my opinon about the… more picture itself and the people who are never satisfied but you say im complaning. the only thing I have to say to those of you who think the picture sucks is please show us something better.
I'm honestly going nowhere near it. I want to be going in completely Blind. This game series is basically life for me and experiencing every bit as I play each whole episode is such an emotional roller-coaster, I don't want it tempered by having already seen a bit of it. I've waited 2 and a bit years, I can wait an extra 18 days.
Clementine has gotten nothing but focus for two whole seasons and now she's one out of two main protagonists. But ohhhhhh she will get shifted into the background in season three. Oh come on...Do you really think Telltale would do that? Javi is a breath of fresh air anyway. They should've done two PCs in season two to even it out.

You are expecting a large number of people to have perspectives that are not skewed, involving a skill in which most of these are not even apparently familiar with. These standards will never be met, Time; certainly not on the forum.
im not denying anything but just because you believe a picture is bad dosent mean it needs to improve. and because some of you believe that I ask you to come up with something better yourselves.

Doesn't mean I won't critique things that look or seem bad.
Maybe I'm getting too old to just think everything is "rad" or "badass," but I know better then to look at that image and just think it's cool because others are content with it.

The car is probably part of the dumpster that appears in both, the leaked screenshot that never resurfaced, and the nighttime screenshot of Javier with the man searching the walker.
yesh I know, but it would have been a better idea to make Javier a character that was already well known and liked, like keeping Luke alive for that, or making him Kenny/Jane, rather than Javier who is already hated mainly for just being a new random character being the main playable character.

Apparently, a few voice actor names and their respective roles appeared on IMDB. Among them was a Kate, which I'm guessing is the woman in the key art, and a Eleanor, which I would say is probably the little girl in the junkyard screenshot.

I like playing as the original characters. Two seasons as her seems perfect, maybe not any more than that, but I don't see a problem with being able to play her in s2 and season 3. She's literally the last known alive original character, as we know Kenny and Jane will be gone.

i rather play as someone new anyways. get a fresh perspective.
I see nothing wrong with this clemenentine is way too overated.
I just hope they show her a lot and not do it like DC did with "Suicide squad". Showing Joker for a total of like 5 minutes in the whole movie.
you just can't win.

I wish that the pre-order bonuses the ps players get would be the same for steam so I could get Michonne, But oh well ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Not to you, but many people enjoyed playing as Clem or having her be the main character. She is overrated though but I actually think Lee is more.
Cotter the Potato Fucker said it best in Game of Thrones. "People are assholes..."
considering that lee is dead and clementine is still alive I have to disagree.
Exactly my point. Clem has a reason to still have fans, Lee is still brought up everywhere and repeatedly asked to be back in the game and magicly come back to life. Clems whole point in s1 was to prepare her for s2.
I see your point but its still time for clementine to step aside and let someone else take the spotlight.

luke would have worked as a pc.

Since I happen to dislike this piece of art, it would be my duty to explain what I dislike exactly and offer advice; not to create something better.
I coincide completely with the second and third paragraphs.
I'm going to go.
well what you call advice I call complaning but thats just me if you feel im making your opinion invalid it was not my hope to to do so but if thats how you feel about it than so be it.
If she will be one of the two playable characters throughout five episodes, then it is evident that Clementine's role won't be particularly small.
watch her only be playable in episode 1.
I don't want to shoot.

Watch Javier be the playable character for 80% of the premiere and then him and Clementine balance out throughout the remaining episodes!
Who's Eleonor? I heard the name around here but wut
Interior crocodile alligator i drive a chevrolet movie theater

I completley agree with you on that.
The Gamestop one? Or was there another one?
I agree wholeheartedly with criticizing what is considered to be deficient and improvable.
There is no need to use your ironic moves on me¿

We've already known her for 2 seasons, and we played as her in 1.Don't you think that 3 seasons straight of Clem focus is a bit too much?
Oh, I know you're with me, I just feel I need to say it to clarify my opinions on the matter.
I mean, I'm assuming some people can agree with us judging by the likes.
It just looks like part of the junkyard to me. If you look closely, it seems to be on top of a pile of rubble.
I don't want to shoot anyvane.
