Would this only be for the preorder or even if you buy episode to episode?
I have a kid so it takes a lot of planning and forethought to be able to play these episodes without distractions. Having it release at midnight is a lot different than releasing around noon like usual. Just trying to figure it all out for certain, thank you for your help.

* This is the countdown for the German… more PS Store (for reference, it's ~8:30pm in Germany, so the countdown ends exactly December 9/10 12am). I can't see why it would be any different for other timezones if EST and CET get it at 12am.
I don't think preordering gives you early access or something like that. All it means is that you've bought the game already, and you get Season 2 and Michonne as a bonus. A New Frontier should be available for download (and purchase, if not already done) at midnight for everyone in their respective timezone.
This is also why so many people already had access to Batman Episode 4 so much earlier than others (Australians, Asians i.a.).

Does anyone expect the Michonne mini series to affect A New Frontier? I was thinking that maybe we will run into either Pete's crew or the Fairbanks family. That way Sam and Oak being determinant would actually matter.
It has to do with Telltale's new engine I believe. Batman also hasn't been released for Mac (yet?), and it was the first game to use the updated engine.
So is anybody else already planning out their ritual for the 20th? I'm going to have my apartment clean, make sure I can have several hours… more to myself, buy some good beer that I never buy, and just completely immerse myself in this glorious two episode premiere.

I just reread the issue because of what you said but none of the remaining crew looks like Oak. The guy I think you're talking about was bald and a lot taller than Oak would've been and didn't have the whiskers.

It's possible they just added Michonne because sales are probably lower for it than their other installments. I think it's especially bad when a game you released earlier that year drops to ~$2 USD (even for a limited time) but not your other games within the same time frames.

So apparently Walking Dead season 2 now has a cloud save feature similar to Batman and other recent Telltale games (Put in Telltale username and pass yada yada) on steam/pc.
Can anyone confirm if thats how its like, because if so, I think its time for me to plug in my half way dead pc and save my save files on the cloud.
It is for everyone. Australian PS4 users actually get it at midnight their timezone/19 hours before California, and their Steam users get it at the same time as everyone else (10am PST). Other consoles should also update their respective stores at the same time on a worldwide scale. Something about their countdown is off.
I have to wait an extra week; I will driving down to Florida on the 20th, then I'll be on a Cruise a few days later. I'm going to have to wake up at like 5:00 A.M. on the 20th to even play part of episode 1, which is exactly what I'm going to do.

So, even though season 1 and 2 have been released for Mac, Season 3 won't?

It's probably gonna get released really late in my timezone and I will play them on Wednesday.

I'd really like a TWD Clementine Mii, but the only one I can find in Miitomo's Sidekick Central is white.
