  • Well, we've already seen an extended look at Javiers experience with the things that happened in season 1, I'm not sure it's safe to say we'll be spending the majority of the time with her considering the insistence telltale has made that this is Javiers story, and the little we've seen of her.

Maybe it's because we've spent 0 time with Javier before the announcement of this season and already had 10 episodes of time with Clem? They wouldn't make Clem a protagonist just to throw her off to the side, lol.

Is Jesus running with them? It seems like he might play the biggest role out of the comic characters.

I think him and the little girl character are brother and sister and are about the same age (maybe twins or one is slightly older?). Because the girl is definitely the granddaughter from the other trailer/teaser and I remember seeing a little boy her age as well that could very well be the dude with the hat here.

Edit:// and if he IS the same character and that clip was the start of the apocalypse, then yeah he probably is about Clem's age or maybe younger (hard to tell since the child models are different from S1 to S3)

Hat boy looks pretty short in this gif even when considers he is bending down. Wonder how old he is. I mean at that height he looks about Clem's age.

  • Irk but they hinted a couple will appear

  • If the intention was to make the game more user friendly, they would. Why play through two older seasons when you can start with a new guy and get cliffnotes? A reboot is completely restarting the franchise, which they clearly aren't. A soft reboot takes elements from the old series and integrates them as a kinda optional experience but you'll be just fine if we reference in during the new guys story.

  • Nothing Telltale do will ever be as good as season 1.

That sure doesn't sound like a fun outlook on things

Yeah, I think it's highly unlikely that Negan will show up.

WHY ALL HOT PEOPLE ARE GAY!?

  • what is it with these young girls in the apocalypse and tattoos? lol

I like the part when Clem runs and shoots a shotgun. She's young, skinny girl but no recoil effect, no aiming. And she kills walkers. Damn, she's good! Oh, Clementine has tattoo! AJ. Did you notice? Probably for remembering kid's name.

  • im hyped. i wasnt too hyped, but this trailer did it. looks very action packed. kinda a tlou like feel with a all out war mixed in. TT knows how to make trailers.

  • We need to see Lee with more of a beard....

However the urban does deserve a spot of recognition. Perhaps according to the holy book he was a prophet of some sort, we shall have to address this matter to the masses.

    JESUS!

  • Beanie kid is probably 14 or 15 now, since his voice seems pretty deep, and boys go through puberty later than girls.

Well, they were going for that "comic-book aesthetic". :)

You know, I really liked this trailer overall. But there's just one thing in particular that's really bugging me: how obviously spliced together that line from Jesus is.

"Sorry, forgot to introduce myselfCall me Jesus."

Come on, I can't be the only one that noticed that, right?

I know it was done specifically for the trailer, but still. Obvious spliced together lines are like a pet peeve of mine.

  • Sorry man but it's just how i feel. I haven't really enjoyed a telltale game since then. I mean i have liked other games but not anywhere close t TWD S1, and I don't know if that's because the original writers left or the way they put so much effort into that game compared to the others? I don't know but that is how i feel. Hey i could be proved wrong but i doubt it

  • It sounds nothing like Kenny lol

Listen at 0:12. Pretty sure that was Kenny.

  • I know they won't be part of this game much (if at all) but they could have at least shown a shot of Kenny/Jane in the trailer. They really are making some of us hang on forever lol

  • Didn't seem obvious to me.

  • Trailer was good. But Telltale missed an opportunity there. They should've made a Trailer similar to the one from S2E5.

The reason, why the S2E5 Trailer is my favourite is because of how it was structured. The first part of the Trailer was a S1 flashback. The second part was a S2 flashback and the final part was that special scene with Clementine before the outbreak which ends with a Hardcut from Clementine standing in the Garden with a Telephone in her hands to an older Clementine standing in a snowstorm with a gun in her hands. That was incredible.

  • The whole trailer was spliced together, haha. This trailer was everything but seamless and it bugs me too.

  • I posted it in the other thread but I'm going to post it here too.

Okay, something is really starting to bug me. I think this Beanie Boy is going to be a TV show Carl 2.0 and I am really, *really not looking forward to that. Here are some of the things he says:

"Next time I'm not gonna sit back and watch. I'm gonna do something." Followed by him swinging a knife angrily and pointing a gun at Javier and an unknown man. After this, you can see him being saved by Jesus in the sewers.

Okay... if it is what I think it is, he is being treated like a child who can't take care of himself, and wants to do something about that. He wants to be a 'survivor.' But, it is 5 years into the apocalypse. 5 years. There is no way that he hasn't "done something" or that he has "stood back and watched" this whole time without getting killed. This is a conflict that happens 6 months - 1 year into the apocalypse, not 5 years. I get that there needs to be character diversity, but in a world like The Walking Dead, weak characters just don't exist. Not that I don't want them to (even though I kind of don't want them to) it doesn't make sense for them to have survived this long if they're weak. We had enough of that with Sarah.

And I know, the game hasn't come out yet, "don't judge it till you play it." Trust me, I know, I preordered it already. But all the sign are pointing to what I just said.

  • If Clem gets seriously injured, I will walker bomb the shit out of TT HQ.

  • Yeah, he seems like the type of character that is constantly going to be pushed into the back by other characters since he's just a kid. It's five years into the apocalypse, and we're supposed to believe that other characters have just been protecting him this whole time?

It also isn't very interesting from a storytelling standpoint. I mean, how many times have we seen this type of character, especially in other forms of The Walking Dead?

I'm hoping that a scene doesn't happen where the main characters are in big trouble and then at the last second beanie boy comes and saves the day, then is all like "See? I CAN help!" That would just be really boring

I posted it in the other thread but I'm going to post it here too. Okay, something is really starting to bug me. I think this Beanie Boy

  • Can anybody tell who Javier is carrying towards the end of the trailer?
