I felt so bad when Clem gave me that death look
I chose the option of them taking Clem as a prisoner to NF because I didn't want to choose the option of Javier shooting the guy. They sure made me feel bad when Clem started giving those death looks. Luckily they let you redeem yourself shortly after by telling everyone that Clem was a friend.

You damned traitor...oh wait...I did that too.
Yeah I thought it would be contradictory to the storyline to have Javier shoot a guy simply because they didn't want to act like Clentine was a hostage. It was kind of a trick question on TellTale's part anyways.
Eh don't really care. I think people are letting clementine affect and control their game experience way too much.
Yeah if we want to play the game realistically we should be playing it through Javier's point of view and not the point of view of the person that has already had Clem in two previous games.
Yeah people say...well of course we are going to side with Clementine....I did...but I have a save where I do not...strange thing about multiple slots.
Yeah luckily they do allow you to quickly make it up to Clementine and have her seemingly change her opinion of you again by saying she is a friend.
Shooting him doesn't necessarily mean we have totally biased opinions. Many players, including myself, only took that option because he seemed highly unstable and dangerous, in other words: a ticking time bomb. I was actually onboard with the plan until he took Gabe hostage and menaced to kill him, which isn't just an empty threat since he does it if you let the timer run out, but then I bailed and shot him. No way I'm agreeing with an overly agressive dude with an unhealthy thirst for revenge who held my innocent nephew at gunpoint.
Haha so did I.
I know. She looked really pissed. :P
Double post
Maybe that is my problem too. That I only care about Clementine.
I mean, you're talking about shooting the guy who blames you for NF killing his girl/wife regardless of how you handled it, goes into a tirade personally insulting you, then grabs your nephew a day after you and him both watch your niece take a headshot and sticks a gun in his face? Yea bro, even if Clem wasn't there he was being an unstable POS. If I wanted to play a game realistically, I'd play a simulator, not the third game in an ongoing series that places emphasis on my choices and featuring a major returning character from the first two games lol
Maybe that is my problem too. I only care about Clementine and Im always watching what's the best for her.
"Fucking traitor."
I felt nothing when I did that.
And he alerted the dozens of walkers in the train tunnel by firing off his shotgun, endangering the whole group. Conrad was a nuisance.
Yea, dude what the shit? We were causing some noise fighting them off, but he opened fire in an almost completely enclosed area on a crowd of them down the tunnel unnecessarily. I was not happy about that lol
Maybe. However it isn't Javier's place to shoot him. He was brand new to that group of people. It would be more Javier's place to negotiate with them at that point rather than shoot them.
Conrad wouldn't negotiate with Javier. There were really just two options: either eliminate the ticking time bomb or use a child as a bargaining chip by handing her off to a group that might do horrible things to her.
Yeah and I thought negotiating it out was the more reasonable option for Javier at that moment.
Turning over a child to a group she was clearly afraid of returning to was the more reasonable option? Maybe I just think Javier is less of a monster lol
I shot Conrad because: He was pretty crazy, Clementine is more useful to have around, plus they aint gonna bargain for shit, when she isnt even part of The New Frontier anymore, and if they are gonna bargain, its because theyre angry with her, which means theyre gonna hurt her.
Also, Clem has barely given any reason to distrust her so far, she let you keep the candy bar, she helped you save your family, she helps with the situation at Prescott, even though she said she was gonna take off, and most important of all, she trusted you with the information that she previously was A New Frontier, and Conrad was totally overreacting to it, Clementine has shown almost nothing but trust since I met her, Conrad, not so much
HOW COULD YOU?
Bruh. Even if she wasn't just a little girl, she's pretty much done nothing but help you. She even goes out of her way for your family depending on the choices you make
If the guy had a complete stranger at gun point I might agree with you. However a member of Javier's own family was at gunpoint who he had survived with from the very beginning of the apocalypse.
TRAITOR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
YOU WHAT?!
That's the point though, isn't it? A complete stranger held his nephew at gunpoint to get him to agree to hold a girl hostage that's been helping him since she, albeit accidentally, rescued him from NF and agreed to help him find his family again as soon as she heard about his situation. I have a loyalty to Conrad because he knew who I was and offered me a drink?
Oh yeah I like her and all but I just don't feel that much for her (compared to a lot of people here anyway). I mostly deal with Clem as I do every other character. I mostly look out for what I believe to be the best choice (in fact I decided to stay silent at first that way I wasn't saying I agreed but also not saying I disagreed with the plan but that leads to a non-canon death so I had to choose the second best option).
Man I must have played these first couple episodes on the bright setting. I'm looking at all these images and everything seems a lot darker than it was during my game.
Have to go check the settings.
.........Edit.......I did have it on the bright setting. Oh well is corrected now. Didn't notice anything wrong while playing I just thought it was daytime when I guess it was really supposed to be night.
I did it too. I felt like a such a piece of shit afterwards. I was 100% against Conrad's plan but I didn't want to kill him.
Clementine: "But you said..."
Javier: "I know what I said, it's not worth Gabe's life."
Me: "I'm a piece of shit!"
When Gabe started yelling at me, I'm pretty sure that was the Walking Dead forums speaking through him.
I had to accept Conrad's plan.
(because I really wanted to see Clem showing her middle finger lmao)
(once again... Bad, bad mother)
No I was implying his nephew was at gunpoint and if he didn't agree to what the gunman was saying it could potentially put his nephews life in danger. If someone not so close to him was the one being held at gun point I could then see him being more willing to shoot.
I tried play it on Low settings
And in most scenes light just OFF. Especially in train tunnel, it was just a black hole where nothing is visible, and can only orientate on mouse pointer.
We'll see what happens...
I accepted Conrad's plan and I don't feel bad at all.
Clementine has been nothing but trouble. She treated me (Javier) like shit when we first met, and wanted me to LIE for her after she murdered someone. Then, she waited until the worst moment to tell me that she used to be apart of the New Frontier.
She expects me to turn down a possible way for Kate to get the help she needs? No. I'm not a traitor. Javier has known her for all of one fucking day. The Clementine I knew in Season 1 is gone. Season 2 Clem didn't even have a personality, and Season 3 Clem is a bitch.
Nope. I accepted the plan, and I'll do it again.
Ah, so she is the antagonist and not fucking The New frontier?
Then why didn't she just shoot him? Javi told her he owned a van and she knew where the junkyard was.
Do you really think she wanted to murder someone? Eli had this coming
Do you really think Clementine would have been the same after growing up so much?
The plan is useless and pointless anyway. Trust me, Conrad is dead anyway.
