That's also to blame on Season 2's issues with bidimensional choices(which also applies to Nick becoming determinant), as well as a number of the developers intentionally designing the episode to reflect the fact that they didn't like Sarah.
Sarah.
Usually writers at least attempt to inject tension into their death scenes by like having a door be stuck at a crucial moment, or … morehaving someone to drop their weapon at the last second. But big ol' sack-of-potatoes Sarah literally just sat there doing nothing until the zombies made her into a snack. I couldn't nope out of that trailer faster - I'm not sticking around for someone who won't even move their freaking butt like 5 metres.

Curious where you get this idea … morefrom, have they mentioned this somewhere?
I totally believe you though, her death scene was one the highlights of the episode.
that framing tho
Omid, Jane (Season 3) and Ava. All death are pathetic, but all in a different way. Omid was just from a random banditat the beginning of a new season, if he had to die, should've died in the first one. Jane was OOC as fuck (her main thing is surviving no matter what, even Kenny's death was not that ridiculous). Ava was unintentionally hillarious, just many other things in Episode 5.

Everyone is saying Ava, the bald girl who went bungee jumping without a bungee, but no one mentioned Travis. If you don't remember who he is, he's Ben's classmate that you met during the bear trap scene in season 1. If you chop off his teacher's leg, this idiot will turn his back to the approaching walkers, get surprised by them, slowly back off instead of running, magically trip over nothing and then get eaten. Makes you wonder how the hell he even made it that long in the Apocalypse.
Jane/Kenny's ANF death. It's not the fact that they died that bothers me I understand that Telltale didn't have the resources to make four distinctly different story lines but the way they chose to do it was beyond ridiculous.
That choice that Telltale created at the end of Season 2 is arguably Telltale's most successful and controversial scenario they have thrown at us in this entire series. The stats of whether or not Clem shot Kenny or let him kill Jane is about 50/50 and to this day you can still find heated arguments on this topic in just about every Telltale TWD forums out there. The result of the player making such a controversial decision only boiling down to a lazy five minute flashback where Jane/Kenny are given shitty deaths that don't even add to the plot was one of the most idiotic things they could have done.
i feel like being able to differentiate between what is real and what is fiction is a very good skill to have. calling me sick and disturbed while seemingly being unable to even think that maybe, just maybe, making a comment about a fictional character's death is much different that actually talking about a real life person's death, is kinda ironic in itself
I was heart broken over Luke's death in S2. I was one of those people who jump into the lake to try and save him, i do remember crying over it as well. Part from that any death that was killed of screen: Chuck, Nick, Christa, Christa's baby, Sarah, any death where there is no emotional weight. No pulling of the heart strings. The S1 deaths were the most emotional, thats why i started to play the series in the first place. Because i cared about the characters, the hard choices that impact if they lived or not and the amazing dialog.
Ever since S1 the deaths stop being meanfull and there were other flaws as well but i was still hooked i was planing to play to the end not mater what but then TT games went bankrupt TT__TT
But yeah the two deaths that made me cried for real was Clementine saying goodbye to Lee and Luke's death and i was pissed off when i saw that it was un-logical as well: if you jumped in the Lake he die if you cover him he dies when Bonnie reach in and try to help him. The only other scene that had me in tears but wasn't a real death was when Clementine was shot by Avro and she wakes up in a dream where she gets to talk to Lee about Duck being bitten, why Lily shot Carly/Doug, If they should have left her behind or not, that people arnt themselves after bad things that happen to them and finely a goodbye.

Oh no, I personally waited about two years to experience Season Two myself. I was just felt the need to refer to how almost every other clip from the Collection looks pretty bad.

Chuck from Season 1. He was a cool dude who deserved better.
Nicks fence death, Both of Sarahs Deaths and Omids shock factor death.
I didn't care much for Nick but if you saved him, it seemed pretty poor to then have him die off screen just stuck in a fence. Almost a 'Don't wanna deal with him anymore.' way. I had hopes for Sarah becoming a little badass after Carlos death with Clems guidance and.... yeah. Omid was probably the most shocking death of season 2 for me. I love Omid and was so happy to see Clem with Christa and Omid. To just be the first death - shot less than 10 minutes in.... yeah. He deserved better.
I'm sad Luke had to die in the lake, but if you choose to save him, he goes out saving Clem so I find it a fitting death.

Jane's death in season 3 has to be the worst death i've ever seen in the entire walking dead universe imo
Even after all these years i'll… more never get over it.
I really want to know who's the genius who had the brilliant idea to kill a character like Jane, like THIS.
And most people are ok with this, this is how Jane died, she came back for Clem in S2 EP5,and fought Kenny, just to die like this,y-yay.
Also, the pregnant thing came out of nowhere, seriously fuck this, this is not canon.
The only thing which I could understand from it was that if she was to have the baby, she could've died after giving birth or died after that and that would've left Clem with two babies and she was struggling with AJ as it was, so it would've gotten Clementine killed in the long run.
Other than that, fr though both Kenny and Jane's deaths in season 3 were just quick and easy ways to kill them because cba with having actual good written deaths.
This isn't funny, this is just bad, there's no excuse for this.
She came back for Clem in S2 EP5,she warned Clem about Kenny, and decided to… more fight him,she obviously cared about Clem, that's a FACT.
They just wanted to get rid of her,but that's not the way to do it,that's just pathetic,i can't accept that because it's fucking dumb.
Jane being pregnant ? Is this a joke ?
I also found out years later, that we were supposed to bury her after she died but they removed this for some reason.
So if you think this flashback is good, and Jane's death was in character, then i don't know what to tell you man,get some help.
Yes, that's what I thought too. I thought it was a fitting way for Jane to go out. It's tragic. She obviously was thinking very deeply about the situation and decided Clem would be better off without 2 more people. She had been raising Clem well so far and she was better at surviving than ever before.

Point is, the impression you give isn’t good at all and if you feel such distaste for a fictional character then for all anyone knows you could feel that strongly about someone in real life. I mean listen to yourself! Saying someone real or not should have died faster, how does that make you seem as a person? All because the character upset you by being rude or whatever the stupid reason you hate him so much for.
I am just saying that it doesn’t give a good impression of you at all. Also i didn’t realise the comment was so old!

A lot of deaths in Season 3 were lazy, especially for Tripp, Ava and determinant characters from previous seasons. But I saw Jane's suicide as "a little" believable at least. It's been a long time since I played season 2, but I recall her being a very pessimistic character who gives up on people too easily. Still, I don't know why she didn't self-induce abort her pregnancy if it really overwhelmed her that badly; it's not like there's any laws in this world that can stop self-induced abortion now.

An interview with two of the game's producers/writers shortly after the episode was released.

Junior Scavenger, but whatever.
You’re sick and disturbed for even thinking that on anyone, fictional or reality.
Mitch.
Ava's death made me laugh.
I assume her second one?
Yeah.
Oh yeah that one was hilarious.
That walker yeeted her off the bridge LMAO
Kenny (season 3 car crash flashback) or Luke

Matthew. We could have stood in front of him or said something else, it would have helped since he could assist Kenny when Carver came.

Luke, Bonnie is 100% responsible for that lame death.
Even though that was strictly environmental? And he was falling in anyway?

He might have been able to make it if she hadn't cracked the ice even more.
Eh, considering the probably lighter Clementine can make the ice crack too, I'd say there was a chance he might have fallen in regardless.
I guess we'll never find out.

Holy shit, that looks legit pretty. Aside from maybe the swimming, anyway.
Yeah....TT__TT it sounds like you haven played S2 through like you havent seen that death?? am i right saying that??
