  • Oh...man. Does anyone feel the wait just got worse. This week is going to be slllllllllloooooooowwwwwwwwwwww.

  • Great episode again, but also really lame that they're constantly killing off villains that they introduce in the same episode they show up. I understand that they're trying to build up for the main villains to show up but I can't help but feel it's still kinda lame.

ehh it was good. 7/10. great acting though, Melissa is a strong actor and Lauren is finally getting her character written. but like... what was the point of this episode? yes they showed us that carol is finally bending a bit, maybe breaking a bit. but it wasnt really necessary, imo last weeks episode was good enough. i do like the whole "we are Negan" shit thats happening. i dont remember that happening in the comics so it'll be interesting to see if they put a nice spin into it and not just a fucking "ohh they say that so if they interrogated or tortured they wont say shit and then they leave their guard down and we kill them all" type shit. hopefully its a good lil twist. i mean a lot of people know who negan is so hopefully they do that.

this isnt that big but i like how Father Gabriel just one of the first marching in lol. i know for sure if he hadnt grown during these past episodes he be one of the last to walk through the door and would have that terrified face. i liked that. Paula was good, but then again i have a big crush on red heads... again kinda pointless to bring their characters to just insta kill them. i should give it a 6 but i kinda didnt see it completely cuz it skipped some shit while watching so i missed the whole, oh daryl blew up my boyfriend" and the escape. i saw when the zombie ate the smoker but before that i think i missed a chunked. also why i should give it a 6 its cuz i hate episodes that are one or two characters and dont show more of the group. but like i said the acting was great and it was written ok. well anyways it was neat but i dont think it really was necessary to have this episode.

oh yeah BTW, it really just seems like they are setting up these 3 characters,Daryl, carol and glenn'; to possibly be Lucille's friend. or is it just me??

  • The next episode is probably gonna be a carbon copy of the season 3 episode with Andrea and the govnor in that lil room. They're dragging out the inevitable when it coulda been way more epic in a smaller more concise set of episodes.

I don't know but I felt like the guy Rick brought with them to negans compound was actually scouting ricks group for Negan. And when it came time to try and take over the whole complex, he'd let Rick think he's doing his thing while he calls Negan over to introduce Lucille.

But hey, it's a soap opera.

  • Paula looks like bonnie

  • Great episode. Carol was a bit too anti killing but not enough to find annoying.

Also great episode for maggie, I feel shes one of the few that got worse once gimple took over, she got sidelined pretty bad

  • Great episode! Really tense and I legitimately thought that Carol would get bit or something. Some nice callbacks and whatnot. Funny seeing all the complaining and whining, just be patient people. A storm is on the way.

  • "We are all Negan" was in 2 issues . It was first though to be a fear tactic, Negan being a boogieman type thing (which was refrence earlier). Its later revealed to be two things:

    1) Its an ideology, they are all Negan since they all carry his will.

    2) A fail safe. In case a group captures any of the members of a group they must say they're Negan to make the kidnapping group feel in a position of power or (as shown in the show) make the Saviors look small and non threatning.

The thing is that the show is doing a fake out. To comic fans this is great since we know what the threat is and find this a great way for the show to build up on it.

To tv only fans the Saviors are gone, they killed them with zero problem and once again there are no concequences.

They think the build up was pointless, but they don't realise that this IS build up.

Next ep they're going to get shocked.

  • I personally cared for every bit in this episode. It was a nice segue that propelled Maggie and Carol forward in their respective storylines, which I loved. Sure, it was mostly development, between them and then showing another look of the Saviors, but totally necessary and not filter at ALL.

Following last week, this is exactly what I expected from this episode and it delivered in the fact that it again made Maggie and Carol's characters move forward. Just awesome!

It had a great ending. I like how this played out to make it appear they killed Negan...but also how they also made it appear, Negan is a religion...left so much speculation on the table, that was awesome...

For some reason, this episode just made me feel really sad. I feel for Maggie and Carol and how everyone is struggling with this decision. I even felt kind of bad for the kidnappers. The redhead especially seemed like she was trying to come off tougher than she was. I mean, they really had no idea what they were getting into when they took Carol. She deserves an academy award for her "weak little bird" performance. Still, I could see that all the killing is starting to affect her. As much as people (not me but others) hate Morgan right now, maybe he's not wrong.

  • I find her likable. What dont you like about her?

Meh. She hasn't been likeable since season 3

  • Fans complaining and whining that the show is going too slow? You dont say!

Also i think its about time we accept that the Saviors are going to have 200+ people in the tv universe. Dwight already said they were ungodly huge but i think these last few episodes really clinch it.

Well once again our boring heroes make it out unscathed, and all the fun new characters die off. I'm not really liking how they're treating

  • What happened to Carol shes ruined!!! I found the episode quite boring, compared to the past episodes that have been this season. The ending was the best part, but wtf did they not want to kill bad guys? they have no trouble killing innocent people that do not do anything to them and carol was ok with the kid dying, but carol has a problem with killing a group that was trying to make them suffer? 6/10.

  • edited March 2016

I saw the episode, and I was surprised to see how Carol reacted in this episode. And I think that not only being able to live somewhat in peace inside the walls of Alexandria, as well as her limited association with Morgan has had something to do with it, which is why she clutched that crucifix as hard as she did, and stood up for her faith when that older woman made that comment "Oh you're one of those", by saying that her faith helped her get through the death of her daughter.

Carol reminds me a lot of a war veteran, who's combat experience and whatnot is catching up with them. And I have a feeling that she will get to the point where she just won't be able to kill anymore, that it will be to much for her.

She is definitely world-weary, and I think she now more than ever just wants to hang up her guns and retire from being a killer.

As far as Rick, I think Rick wants to live in peace, and that he especially wants to create a future for his children, particularly Carl. But I think he will end up being like one of those veterans who the war is never truly over for - that he has gotten so conditioned to killing - that he will always need conflict of some form to feel normal.

I think Rick is a good man. But I also see that he seems to be losing his grip on his humanity - because as was said on the talk show "Talking - Dead", the group is starting to do things that they would've previously condemned other groups for.

And since Rick is the leader of the group - he not only has a strong effect on what actions the group takes - but he is also responsible for what the group as a whole does.

Now with that said, I know many might start comparing Rick to Shane - or say that I'm comparing Rick to Shane.

But the two big differences between the two men are that Rick is a an honest man, and who has integrity. He rarely - if ever lies, and he gives his word he keeps it - even when it's not convenient.

And just speaking from a personal standpoint I have to say that those are two qualities that I truly admire and try to incorporate into my own life.

Also, Rick will not kill people who are innocent. And he has always tried to protect decent people, even at the risk of his own life. And even though he has commited some pretty violent - downright terrifying actions against his enemies - his only two goals were protecting people he cares for, and his own self preservation.

Shane on the other hand would kill anyone that was a risk to his own precious hide, or who stood between him and what he wanted - like how he killed Otis so he could get away, and how he later tried to kill Rick because of his lust for Lori.

When it comes to Daryl - Daryl has always been an very introverted person - and therefore has a reputation as a lone wolf. Yet he is also a very intricate and valuable part of the group. I think he is probably one of the most sane character on the show. And I believe that he also wants to live in peace, but is also ready to do what he needs to do.

Despite his tough exterior, Daryl is actually a very warm, caring man, and judging from what I've seen - I would say he is also a sensitive man, even though he tries to hide it.

Remember how he held back tears when he heard Merle was left handcuffed on that roof in Season 1? Remember how he broke down when he was with Beth after the prison fell, and how he wept openly when Beth was killed?

Daryl is more than willing to risk his life for people he cares for, and is even willing to extend that quality to strangers. And judging by last night's episode, and how he reunited with Carol, I think that there might still be something there.

I think Maggie will become a strong leader in days to come, and I think that Rick sees that wants to not only help her grow as a person, but also might possibly see her as a possible successor, which might be why he had her negotiate with the leader of Hilltop, instead of doing it himself?

I think her being pregnant has given her something to truly fight for, which is why she was so vicious in the way she killed her captors. And I believe she will be very instrumental in dealing with Negan - but more so in a diplomatic way instead of combative.

  • Look at Father Gabriel going in armed and ready, he's becoming a badass.

I personally cared for every bit in this episode. It was a nice segue that propelled Maggie and Carol forward in their respective storylines

  • Honestly, if Abe dies next episode, that's going to be really shitty writing. His character has not been touched upon enough in the show and he's completely underwhelming compared to his comic counterpart. And who's really going to care if he dies? The last we saw him he was a complete asshole to Rosita. Even if he has that whole speech with Eugene like in the comics before he dies, it's not going to be enough. They really need to keep him around longer, but this show has a habit of killing characters too soon.

  • Dude cover this with a spoiler tag. Many here have not read the comics, please don't (maybe) ruin this for them.

    What innocent people?

How is Carol at all okay with the kid dying? Hes clearly one of the main things haunting her, not that she actually killed him anyway, she didnt help but still.

Shes finally stopped at Alexandria for five minutes and the weight of who she is now is setting in. Also if shed gone full morgan id agree she would be annoying but she is still killing if she has to so I find it okay

  • I think they will kill him next episode, they havnt killed off a main cast member in ages and they are really following the comics closely right now. Dwight has to kill someone around now, However I am hoping to be surprised and its someone else instead
