So regardless the lip service i read about portability between the seasons, from what I gathered from the panel synopsis of season 3 is that all of your gameplay up until this point will mean next to nothing and Telltale are esstentially rebooting the story because they got themselves in a developmental hole they cant program their way out of.
Enjoying the similarity between the season 3 poster and this:

So glad to see AJ. It shows Clem is a competent protector. Also glad to hear the story will be so tailored to each ending of S2.
It sounds like she's not going to be playable as much as I want her to be. I really don't care about Javier at this point, but I bet Telltale can get me to care. We'll see. I bet it'll be better than any of us are expecting.

Sweet.

Unless it strongly changes Clementine's character - the way she acts and her dialogue/action choices throughout the season. If not that then I don't think I can trust TTG with making choices have a big effect on the story - specifically for Game of Thrones Season Two.
Interestingly enough, they seem to be hinting that the Season 2 endings will tailor the Season 3 story not just in terms of the five major e… morendings, but also the more subtle stuff in how you got to your five endings during the final scene (such as in which context a character may have died/been left alone/etc that led to the one of five endings you got)
As a rhetorical example on my part, they seem to be hinting that they will not just tailor the story only for whether or not a character is gone depending on your ending, but will also further tailor the story depending on different ways that a character could have died, which seems to be hinting that they will account for more than just the five big endings.
Really id say the opposite, Sarita is the perfect example of a plot device character, she exists purely for the plot and to furthur the plot. She exists to create drama between clementine and kenny, thats her whole purpose. She gets no character development of her own, shes literally a plot character.
I know all characters impact the plot however sarita doesnt seem to have any other purpose but to die, she never interacts with anyone really, even kenny and clementine.
Every character and interference that advances the plot in some way or the other is considered a plot device. Taking Sarita, for example—she… more is one of the few who is not a plot device, given that she did not advance the plot when she was alive. When she died, Kenny sank into depression, but he came back from grief in that same episode, and therefore, negating all purpose of her character.
Good characters are plot devices.
They're probably going to have two storylines in the first episode (or maybe it'll be an ongoing thing for the season): The A storyline is J… moreavier and Clementine in present day, while the B storyline is a series of flashbacks to S2, picking up from the endings.
In fact, when you think about it, this is the perfect way to make the choices matter. It means they can keep Kenny/Jane alive, but without having them directly interfere with S3's story. It could totally work if they pulled it off the right way.
Okay, calling it right now. It's going to be her birthday in Season 3, otherwise they'd just say one or the other.
Not officially called Season 3; it might have a different name
The Walking Dead: Ouch Dat Brand Shit Hurt Man
"Everyone in studio is "super protective" over Clementine
Then she better liiiiive ;_;
Season 1 focuses on you playing as a Fatherly Figure, Season 2 focuses on Direct Control of Clem, Season 3 focuses on exploring a different facet of her; she is capable of taking care of herself and now we get to play as "a friiiiend to her"
F-Friend?
BROTP oh god...no Lilac, don't go there again! Be strong! DON'T FALL INTO THE TRAP!
Javier is "central" to the story; you "may not be playing as both characters in same frame of time"
Sooo, perhaps the two protagonist thing won't be jumping around so much as it has with Tales from the Borderlands. That's what I would guess at least.
It's a "whole new story" that Clem is a piece of, alongside AJ and others
Others confirmed for Season 3!
AJ will be learning from Clem about growing up
Clem:[pinned down by a walker] AJ! AJ! Get the hammer!
AJ:...hamma?
Clem: Yes! Hammer! Over there, QUICKLY!
AJ: Okay [toddles off]
Clem:...w-wait, where are you going!? Stop eating your boogers and COME HELP ME! AJ!? T__T JAY JAAAY!
If you have played both of the previous Seasons, there will be a tailored story; you will be learning what happened after Javier is learning about Clem
Ah, so I'd take a guess we'll start as him. Considering they're questioning if to call it Season 3, that might suggest it might go how Season 1 began, by showing the beginning of the ZA. And we've already seen it with Clementine, so Javier would the next best bet. Plus the whole fresh start thingy that would make sense.
And woo! I was right about the whole thing on Clementine recapping her story to somebody =D
For a large portion of the story, Clem and Javi are together.
For a large portion of the story, Clem and Javi are friggin together!
Together and becoming friends!
ಠ_ಠ..........
Shut up, and take my money.
Combination of characters with both good and bad intentions across the Season
Assholes confirmed for Season 3!
Season 3 "around Virginia", close to characters in the comics
Not all that interested. But by how it's going, sounds like we might see some characters from it. Maybe we'll even see Negan....and it won't end on a stupid tv cliffhanger XD
Tailored stories will exist for lots of variations of the Season 2 ending, accounting not just for the five endings, but potentially for variations of how you reached those five endings in the last part of Episode 205 (for example, if Kenny is gone in your story, they might account for finer details such as if he was shot or if you just abandoned him)...
Doesn't confirm whether Jane or Kenny will show up, but doesn't sound like they've ruled it out.
"Clem is somewhere between 13 or 14"

That poster is amazingly beautiful and epic! And the screenshots were nice, too! We also got to see Clem and Javi's full body, from their waist down (Okay... that sounded better in my mind, I mean their clothes). Now I wonder what everyone else does... Where the hell is Kenny/Jane?!
Damn straight bro now we wait 3 months or so for the 1st episode...then wait another 2 months for the 2nd one..then 2 months for the 3rd one...so on so on...I fucking hate waiting...

Telltale makes amazing protagonists, and probably Javier will be no different + they said that Javi is on the same level as Clem so he better be a fucking badass Tbh I got tired of people saying that he's gonna be the next Luke and he's a pussy... like seriously?? We don't know much about him XD But I liked him from the start so yeah

Telltale is going back to monthly episode releases like they did prior to Walking Dead: Season 1. Long waiting periods should hopefully be a thing of the past for Batman and Season 3, as was the case with Michonne and Minecraft Episodes 1-4.
Damn straight bro now we wait 3 months or so for the 1st episode...then wait another 2 months for the 2nd one..then 2 months for the 3rd one...so on so on...I fucking hate waiting...
I got tired of people saying he's a pussy
I don't know why people think this way
We're like, what, 4 years into the apocalypse now? If you're still alive that far in, there's a good reason.

So basically, we're stuck with Javier and I can't have Jane? Yeah, I knew it was heading in this direction. Ugh... I'll save further judgement for fall. As far as I'm seeing, we're being stuck with Javier with no choice and we have to slump through his story before finding out what happened with Jane (or Kenny if you chose him) who is probably gonna die anyway so it doesn't matter. God dammit, Telltale.
Yeah she looks a hell lot different than she did in season 1 and 2...she is more darker....and she is going though puberty...apart from that she looks badass! Yep AJ look a hella lot older yo

I missed the Stream so I'll assume the alternate reality me was disappointed.

No, that was Pete's watch
I got a little teary-eyed seeing this ;-;
This hit me right in the feels...

In Season 2 Episode 3 they just said "Fuck this, let's just get done with this shit and try again next season"
Perhaps Jane and Kenny, rather than died, instead got separated?
How so?
Yup. Reminds me of my kiddos.
I will literally bite the face off of anyone/thing that tries to bite the face off of My Clementine or AJ.
Dubious fashion choices :P

I hope what happened to Bonnie at least has a mention.

They could have Clementine tell Javier and co. her story as they progress through the Season.

Kenny confirmed.

Centered around Javier? I hope he is a likeable character and we still get to play as Clem a fair amount.
Haha yeah but i bet there real cutties!!!
IN FLERSHBAKES???
JANE???
And I doubt they'll even do a gameplay footage or "let's play" cause it's story-based.
Damn straight bro now we wait 3 months or so for the 1st episode...then wait another 2 months for the 2nd one..then 2 months for the 3rd one...so on so on...I fucking hate waiting...
It's going to be torture, but at the same time I think it adds to the adventure. I felt that way towards Season 1 and 2 as well.

Your opinion kinda disrespects someone's existence so...
THIS! I hate people who hate Javier for no good reason. Like Luke? Luke was a liability and caused his own death
The shit's about to get lit. Thanks Telltale for existing.
I don't know why people think this way
We're like, what, 4 years into the apocalypse now? If you're still alive that far in, there's a good reason.
Lol, doesn't like almost everyone cause their own death? Techincally?
EDIT : a typo
i have a feeling he will be a good character and we will like him and people can start demanding him in the future just like Lee
Damn i miss LEE
man you reminded me of Lee he was a good character but i think Javier could be good character too i guess

You're either so nice you have a lot of friends to protect you or you're an asshole like Negan.
Writers think he's important.
They win.
I think why people hate Javier...they think he is going to try and get it on with clem..but he is like 20 and shes 13 or 14...
My hype level went up.
Man, I really can't wait to play as Javier and see what he is all about.
I'm also curious about how Clementine will act in S3, with different endings and all.
So basically, we're stuck with Javier and I can't have Jane? Yeah, I knew it was heading in this direction. Ugh... I'll save further judgement for fall. Well, I was more so talking about how her head and neck is going one way and her body is the other.
