Why do they mean Clementine is no longer protected? Javier isn't her new guardian?
EDIT: Also, the slaughter house pic reminds me of the opening of Dead Rising 3.

I think there saying shes an equal in the group now, not a kid. In season 2 she was still being protected by the cabin group. She doesnt need any special protection than any other survivor. Season 2 was supposed to be getting her to that point.

They're probably going to have two storylines in the first episode (or maybe it'll be an ongoing thing for the season): The A storyline is Javier and Clementine in present day, while the B storyline is a series of flashbacks to S2, picking up from the endings.
In fact, when you think about it, this is the perfect way to make the choices matter. It means they can keep Kenny/Jane alive, but without having them directly interfere with S3's story. It could totally work if they pulled it off the right way.
So Im guessing Season 3 is going to have flashbacks with Clem and Javier, which seems to be Telltale's new thing (Small Batman Spoiler: Good… more ol IGN did a good job of spoiling Batman, confirmed flashbacks) it also could be a good way to show off people's different endings, like Clem's life in Wellington for example. However I really hope that if that is how they show off Kenny and Jane instead of having them in the present, they wont just "die" they could just get separated. Maybe Clem's main goal of Season 3 is to find Kenny/Jane or someone else if you were alone, and she meets up with Javier.
Like a lot of people I was hoping AJ would have been killed off. Taking care of a 2/3 year old just doesn''t seem like a very compelling story to me. The only way the last point is significant is if Kenny or Jane are actually in the story. Clementine merely talking about it to others isn't good enough for me. If that's the case then it has only been "tailored" to the season 2 endings in a pretty trivial, simple form.
Wasting precious screentime on what's pretty much a plot device from a rewritten story. Meh we're probably going to have to sacrifice the damn baby at the end of the season for the "FEELS".
Just reading fan summary now,

I'm sure everyone's noticed by now that all the zombies in the slaughterhouse screenshot are the same model. The same one from the trailer.
It's actually kind of crazy we've gotten both a teaser and screenshots already, because if that zombie's any indication, they don't have too many of the art assets finished yet.
I noticed that Job and Dennis specifically mentioned that they couldn't tell the context of the slaughterhouse thing. There's no branding on Javier, at least I don't see it. I'm very curious.

Yeah, it's probably pretty still far off.

Every character and interference that advances the plot in some way or the other is considered a plot device. Taking Sarita, for example—she is one of the few who is not a plot device, given that she did not advance the plot when she was alive. When she died, Kenny sank into depression, but he came back from grief in that same episode, and therefore, negating all purpose of her character.

Man its so weird seeing AJ as a toddler and clem as a teenager....I am so shooked about thinking all the time we have known clem...seeing her being sooo adorable and so cute and now shes an angry looking teen...
Yeah she looks a hell lot different than she did in season 1 and 2...she is more darker....and she is going though puberty...apart from that she looks badass! Yep AJ look a hella lot older yo
Am I the only one that thinks Clem looks funny in this screenshot?
Also, isn't AJ like 2 years old now or something? The screenshot makes him look at least 4-5 years old.
Enjoying the similarity between the season 3 poster and this:

They just meant that she no longer has to rely on others, and is capable of carrying herself.
They said that Javier is more of a friend to Clementine than a fatherly figure.

I wonder what's going to happen to the family during Jane's ending. O: /I have a feeling that they will double cross you or something lolrip/

...maybe? I mean even if it is it still looks way better than it used to.

It was the "malignant tumors everywhere in your body" type
So it is confirmed that thing which Clem has on her left arm is not Lee's watch/
Let's be optimistic
maybe it's something that he read or saw a rough version of in the office earlier
accurate representation of the chat
Actually, every one of them saved her from trouble:

When is a gameplay coming out?
Did anyone get super fucking protective seeing scared little AJ? By the gods I will protect that precious child.
AJ is alive,we know that for sure, and when there was a question about Kenny, and all of them at SDCC was like "Hehehe we killed Kenny\Jane".
They didn't mention it on the stream but it doesn't look like a watch in this screenshot.

I can see that Javier got that Rhys walk tho
Javier doesn't have the Capricorn symbol ingrained into his neck
All those theories about AJ biting Clem's finger off as a walker are now in the trash

i literally cried.
Maybe he bit her finger off without being a walker? Baby's are vicious.
He got a big ass head.
If it is a watch, then how do I not see the clock?
AJ looks so cute

Clem is STILL NOT BITTEN!!! BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!
he ate her finger because he was hungry. kappa.
How can Nick's watch be at Howes when Nick just dies at the lodge or at the trailer park?
Yeah she looks a hell lot different than she did in season 1 and 2...she is more darker....and she is going though puberty...apart from that she looks badass! Yep AJ look a hella lot older yo

Too bad Season 2 doesn't have anything like it
Nah you're just trying to justify his existence.
