At the same time, anything but Season 3 will put off fans as they would feel like this game is not a straight-up continuation.
We should call it Season 3 on the forum, though. You know, as an act of defiance toward this change of title. Or an act of acknowledgement that this is a series, if you will.
Aww...do we really, really have to bring AJ along on the ride? Can't we just leave him somewhere? I can already hear him screaming his head off during a stealth segment.

Nope you're right, and I did it on purpose this time. Just so a lot of you can get angry about it again. Me being a paramedic has nothing to do with how I refer to a video game character. It's not a real person, therefore I don't have an obligation to treat it as such or to show it empathy. I'm not emotionally invested in a video game, I understand the concept of reality vs fantasy. If this Kid dies in game, no one is actually affected; unlike in reality. So I don't know why you brought up my profession when it has nothing to do with anything.
I thought it was pretty obvious but I'll explain it.
Clem wont be a "father figure", where'd you get that from?
They said that Clementine will teach AJ her skills and how to survive. She'll also (obviously) take care of him. That's what Lee did in season one.
And why would new players find it confusing if it's not called Season 3? The game is new to them.
They might think that this game isn't a continuity but an entirely new game, missing on the first two seasons. Of course telltale said that they wouldn't have a problem if they hadn't played the first 2 seasons coughs reboot coughs but they'd still have to play the first two seasons in order to get attached to the characters (Clem and whoever makes a return). Not to mention that some people who have played the first two seasons might think that this is a spin-off like Michonne.
Clementine and her design: I really like how she's grown up. As someone who played season 1 as the episodes came out back in 2012, I got all emotional seeing her all grown up. :') She's come such a long way since the early days of societal collapse. I can't wait to see her in season 3 and what her role will be. I suppose her personality would fall to me and how I played the first two seasons.
Javier and his design: I dunno, I think he looks pretty cool, despite some opinions on him. I really like his design. It's a believable "4 years in" design. And as Deltino said, if you're still alive in the apocalypse at this point, there's a damn good reason. Nobody survives this long on pure, shitless luck. Javier has done shit to live this long, and I wanna see every single square inch of the perimeter of said shit. Some people are too quick to judge him, but I think he has potential, and you won't see me bitching about playing as him. If anything, I'm 100% open to/ looking forward to the idea. It's also a fair trade off for those that didn't wanna play as Clementine.
AJ and his Return: Ah, yes, the baby is still alive. Suck it, Walker-AJ theorists. We'll see how that whole thing goes. A baby in the apocalypse does cause problems as The Walking Dead has demonstrated in the past, but maybe it'll all be okay.
Kenny/Jane mystery: Some of you need to have a smidgen of faith in the writing staff. Even if Kenny and Jane die off-screen prior to the events of season 3 (Which would suck to BIBLICAL LEVELS) they would at least have the decency to show us what the fuck went wrong to cause their deaths. Albeit, them dying off-screen would be poor writing. But didn't they say at the panel that we "may not be playing as both characters in the same frame of time"? That could open up some possible explanation of how they died if it happened before season 3. But for the love of god, PLEASE no. Let my choice on that matter for once...
Final thoughts: I think it's looking pretty good for what it's worth. Haven't been this hype for a game before. The fact that I'm attached to characters from the series shows how good their writing can be. Let's just hope this adventure is better than the last one.
Why would new players be wondering if this is a continuity or not?
Because they're starting from the third game, missing out on the first two. That's like starting to watch a TV show from its third season, skipping the first two. Or watching star wars episode 7 without watching the first 6 (or 3 if you wanna skip the prequels). You miss out on so many important characters and information about the universe.
It has all the potential to be good it's been 2 years since season 2 and hopefully they have learnt from the criticism they got from it and make season 3 an incredible game
That was the first thing I noticed when I saw that poster. And yeah I agree with Aron, shame Season Two didn't have one like that! Would've been cool to have a 3-poster set in that design.
So basically, we're stuck with Javier and I can't have Jane? Yeah, I knew it was heading in this direction. Ugh... I'll save further judgeme… morent for fall. As far as I'm seeing, we're being stuck with Javier with no choice and we have to slump through his story before finding out what happened with Jane (or Kenny if you chose him) who is probably gonna die anyway so it doesn't matter. God dammit, Telltale.
You didn't, but if she left him and nobody found him he'd die. And where would she leave him? No one would want to take care of a baby in the apocalypse, because it's a huge responsibility...
Well, the only hope I have about Kenny and Jane returning was during the stream when they started to talk about Kenny. Job was avoiding confirming or not, and then he questioned if he should say anymore. By that I guess he was thinking on whether or not to confirm Kenny and Jane for season 3, and I doubt Job would want to consider saying it there if it was just going to be "Yeah they arnt in it."

NukemDukem stole TWD Model Swapping content. Like in his thumbnail too. The model swappers had a problem with him, and he was very annoying.… more I didn't like his videos at all. I don't care if he posted earlier, by the time when he posted an episode, it was already out in TTG Store.
One thing I hope is improved on this season is how character development is divvied up. Season 2 was not so generous with giving development to the Cabin Group (and this is coming from someone who likes most of them). Sarah, arguably, had the most potential following Luke. She could have grown into a survivor like Clementine, and I was excited to see how she developed. But then she was shoved in a corner for Episode 2, became a punching bag in 3, and then screamed her way into determinant status just to die anyways in 4. Don't even get me started on teaching her to use a gun.
I really hope the characters introduced/returning this season are able to become more than just plot devices and archetypes so they can develop (not saying Season 1 or 2 had any examples of these). If not, I'd rather the cast be kept to a bare minimum then. Let's see what's in store!

Number two doesn't bother me as I do not binge watch him, but I am bothered by clickbait videos, spoilery thumbnails, coming here only to promote videos, and stealing "content"—that stuff that shall not be mentioned—from another user.
This begs the question—why is NukemDukem somewhat disliked amidst the forum?
I dont dislike him really, however his is one of the pl… moreaythroughs I would never watch, his commentary style is pretty bland. However anyway, reasons for other people.
* Clickbait videos, or spoiler screenshots. Like "SARAH DEATH" 2 minutes after the episode airs. Sometimes its inaccurate to, he played through until dawn and then uploaded all of a certain characters deaths and he didnt upload them all or even one of the two major deaths the character could have.
* He doesnt seem to really care about the games, barely seems to pay attention to the plot as he is constantly checking the stream even while recording his first run through he is constantly going "Okay here is this choice doing this", , so he can quickly upload this specific choice the moment he finishes. Also rushes through so he can upload first.

Ugh...we still have that kid. Why can't we leave it somewhere? Clem is officially a den mother now, it shouldn't be her responsibility.
Goodness yes!!
We don't know what might happen, but sure as hell Clem won't leave AJ.
Are you serious??
I heard somewhere that Clem will teach AJ her skills. idk.
I don't believe that goes with Clementine's character.
Just leave "it" somewhere? He's not a toy nor a garbage. It's not his fault his parents died.

It's not a real person, so I may refer to calling it an it.
Yes I am. Why wouldn't I be.
That doesn't change the fact how I feel about the situation.

He has every right to live, it's not his fault that he was born in a time like this and he has no one left.
I didn't say it should die, did I? Show me where I said it should die.

I truly hope your right
Yes, I knew toddler AJ would be in this game. Oh I can't wait to see what horrible adventures await Clem and co.
Pretty disappointing to see AJ return. He's such a nuisance. Hopefully he doesn't play too big a role.
How do you know that? I'm talking about modeling.
Maybe they can make a season 2 one soon, just to be consistent
I mean, he's one of the playable characters, what were you really expecting here

Rebecca's dad was always giving her shit.
Maybe she has some to spare.
The more they say "new entry point", gives me more, and more hope that the future of TWD is very bright.
With that stupid jacket Bonnie gave to her, I don't think she was. I'm so glad she got rid of it in Season 3.
After all these screenshots and information it's even harder to wait...
Sometimes I regret coming to this subforum...
When will the walking dead season 3 comes out?
I've never told you to stop calling AJ by "it". It's not a crime, haha, I just find it weird since we know the baby's gender.
Those pics put me back on my telltale forums 24/7 mode.
Fall. They didn't tell us exactly when though.
