    lol, They just leave Guybrush and have their own adventures...

    She is only bland because even though she is a main character she never had a major role other then Guybrush seeking her out. That's what made her interesting, seeing if He actually got her. Then They get married (EMI) and she is then even more bland and less interesting because essentially who cares now...

    Why did you go to Steam in the first place? It was cheaper here (i thought).

    Anyway, i would expect steam to be behind. They themselves theoreetically have to download the game, and upload it onto their servers.
