Who knows what happens in the next chapter of Tales of Monkey Island? Until we put out a little more information, feel free to discuss and speculate in this thread. For now, how about the most important question you guys seem to have...

Do you have an official release date?
YES. Look for the Trial and Execution of Guybrush to commence sometime this Friday, October 30th Pacific Standard Time. It might take a while, so hold onto yer breeches!

    Bring in the release!!! I can't wait anymore! That's the problem when you finish TOMI chapters on the day it's released, you gotta wait a whole month for it... T_T

    Could solve that by playing though the others on the release date so you know the story, will take a few days to complete the other three, then play chp 4!!

    I'm really excited for this one, more than any of the others, because putting Guybrush on trial is sure to make for some exciting and dramatic developments! I hope we get a lot of emotional moments in this next installment, with Guybrush having to deal with imprisonment and possible death, Morgan having to deal with betraying her hero, Elaine and LeChuck's reactions (if they return to Flotsam in time...)

    Should be pretty great!

    Hey guys, you seems to have hard times getting Chapter 4 working properly...And you also have a CSI game to put out this month!

    But after all I know you'r working hard, and the results will be great - that's your standards after all! :)

    Telltale, if the game is not 100% ready by October 31st...

    Wait till November to release it.

    Believe me, I have a good ol' gut feeling on how this is gonna turn out, and my predictions were ENTIRELY correct for Ep. 3, and somewhat for Ep. 2.

    And, roberto_valentino, I highly doubt it, as the new CSI game is being released on the 27th. However, I expect the 29th myself.

    If they don't make October this year there is always next year's October. As a previous poster said a rushed game is bad forever so I think adding an extra year to the production cycle of the chapter is the way to go :p Then I'm thinking chapter 5 in November 2011. I don't think the fans would mind that at all.

    31st is a Saturday, Halloween release?????
    Or probably on 29th (thursday release as previous ones) or 30th (last useful day).

    Not yet. When we have a date to announce, we'll post it right here in this thread, and on the blog (like we always do). Until then, "October" will have to suffice I'm sorry to say!

    My WAG for the release date is 29th.

    So how you think Guybrush will be executed? Is there gonna be fair trial or will Le Docteur bribe the jury to get Guybrush's body for his experiments?

    I'm gonna say there will be no hanging, that's too traditional.
    We already saw the amputation device in Ch. 1 so the doc might have something bigger up his sleeve.
    Or it could be just a simple firing squad or a lethal injection of some voodoo-schmoodoo. Hopefully they've come up with something more interesting and unimaginable to preserve the excitement ;)

    Y'see, this is why they're getting so close to the deadline. There Telltale are, desperately rewriting scripts to include the phrase "meaty and dangerous", and some blighter comes along and demands yet *another* absurd phrase to be crowbarred in. :D

    I kinda am hoping for Nov. 6th as a release date myself...

    Three Reasons:
    1) The extra week can help make sure any bugs and things are worked out, smooth, and cool.

    2) I'll already be hyped up by Hallowe'en! I wanna spread out my excitement. Especially since October is such a cool month already, I wouldn't mind spicing up November a bit. :-) It's always so boring and blah.

    3) Because of Hallowe'en it may overshadow the coolness that is Monkey Island! The only way to avoid that would be to release it say Oct. 26th - 29th, but that may be too soon for it to have maximum quality. That way MI would complement Hallowe'en instead of being eaten by monster Jack-o-lanterns.

    I'm actually somewhat concerned that you don't have a release date yet. I think I agree with what people have said that if it's a matter of delaying the release or rushing it, DELAY IT! FOR THE LOVE OF JOJO, SR. DELAY IT! :eek:

    But if you've secretly got the thing already all worked out and are just debugging it a bit more and hiding the release date from us to build suspense and then come All Hallow's Eve jump out from behind the bushes and go, "BOO!"...well then...:p

    I just read "Trial and execution of Socrates" in a time line. I immediately finished it with "Guybrush Threepwood." Too much time on the computer! (Or not enough?)
