Seeing as you're all too lazy to figure it out yourselves...here's some help with the cheat codes:
One of the cheats will give you the Control to Win the game.
It's a recurring cheat that dates all the way back to The Secret of Monkey Island™.
Be careful not to misplace your fingers while trying to press Ctrl+Q to quite the game.
The next one will be the code, so don't look unless you're sure you want to.
The cheat code to win the game is Ctrl+W.
The next episode of Tales is Rise of the Pirate God.
Once you've typed in this cheat, Guybrush can live forever.
The next one will be the code, so don't look unless you're sure you want to.
Type G, O, D to activate god mode.
You've said you were interested in a Control scheme of Point-'n'-click, right?
This cheat might seem similar to one of the other ones.
It's all about how you Control the Player.
The next one will be the code, so don't look unless you're sure you want to.
The cheat code to activate "pointyclick" mode is Ctrl+P.
For the sake of not revealing the exact number of cheat codes to those who want to discover them for themselves...
...I'll add some more spoiler text here.
But don't go telling them this isn't a real cheat code.
By the way, if you used that first cheat did you download your bonus disc?
If you didn't use that cheat, did you pirate the bonus disc?
Coz if you did, then mad props to you.
Regarding the click-'n'-drag scheme, I did try to do that, but it was acting all wonky and annoying the hell out of me so I just deleted the code.
I'm glad everybody's enjoying the game so far. For the record (to those here) I've been using the AGS program for about 5 1/2 years now, and up until now have yet to release a single proper game with it. This project was rather silly, but the whole team also took the silliness of it very seriously. Hopefully now that I've actually released something I'll have more initiative to produce more games.
I don't want to say too much just yet, but I've been talking with some of the team members about a new original (non-fan-gamey) project. There's been a few ideas tossed around so don't go quoting me because this is far from being definitive. No eight hour launch discussions on MSN this time around. Just some speculations...but if/when I do come up with something I'll be sure to let you great folks know about it.
Oh, also regarding the downloads...my condolences to anybody who's having trouble with them. I don't currently have any proper web hosting because I don't pay for it. Google won't let me upload anything more than 10 MB. If you'd like I can try and see about producing a piecewise collection of files on a more reliable server. Other than that I'll also contact some of the AGSers who I know have their own dedicated servers and things and see if anything could maybe be worked out through them.
Thanks for playing, guys, and for the kind words. I hope you all had as much fun playing it as we had making it. I almost wish I had saved my MSN logs for the past couple weeks.
Hm...that link works, but I can't download the game...merde.
Goto: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=MI4UE590
and in the top left side of the website change the language into German when it's not already in German.
Type in the 4 character code in the box, top left of the page above the orange button followed by clicking on that orange button.
Wait 26 secondes until the countdown reaches zero. Then a new black button appears . Click that one to download the file.
There's now an alternate download method, but it's a bit of a chore as you'll need to download 5 separate files and perform 3 extraction operations. You can read about it here if you're having trouble with the MediaFire or MegaUpload links.
Holy saints aplenty ridin' sidewise on a candypink fatboy!
I'm loving the positive feedback on this. It was oodles of barrels of tons of megablasts of fun voicing this game and playing Guybrush. I can't believe I hadn't found the pointyclick or win the game cheats yet. :O
This game is awesome enough to be put on another certain bonus disc. *hint hint cough cough*
Great work all! I've been lurking for a while, but I just had to surface to thank you! I had a blast playing it, and the anticipation definitely helps make the 8th come that much sooner.
Thanks for the hints, it's a brilliant piece of fan work Loved the wonderful bits of interesting dialogue "Oh look, I have a thing!" and so forth. And by gods, that cheat code and the bonus disc....
Gah, when I read the chat log to make sure I wasn't too socially unacceptable before monkey showed it to everyone, that was the one remark that made me go "Ok, I sound like a big ego headed jerk there!"
Please forgive my arrogance and know that I'm envious of your awesome artwork, John! (and hey, at least you do stuff at an acceptable resolution )
Oh, and also, hi everybody
Ha ha, no offense taken at all. I should've included a smiley face. Thanks for the compliment, I am envious of your speed!
Also, I see a few people commenting about the meat in the 'Caverns of Meat'.
...
...I thought it'd be fun and cheeky to draw a Psychonauts reference or 3 in there because of Tim Schafer working on the two Secret of Monkey Island games and stuff
There is a Mac port of the AGS run-time engine, but unfortunately that's out of date. The Linux port is more up-to-date (which I find both humorous and ironic) and for anybody who may actually be using that I might be persuaded to consider providing a conversion that would be compatible with the Linux port. But due to the age of the Mac port it's simply not feasible for me to transition that far back in down-grading certain aspects of the game in order to work with the port (unfortunately).
I definitely do want you to be able to play, so I'm sorry that your choice of system has limited your abilities  however, I've heard that the AGS runtime engine works quite well under emulators such as Wine. Let me know how that works out for you.
Monkey, you added my other whoosh sound effect to the Bonus CD?

what's this... oh... Ohhhhhhh.
I have received the, uh, royalty check, and hereby withdraw any charges made against you.

Unfortunately, it's too late to recall the rabid monkey I sent, so you might want to make a trap out of bananas and some sort of cage.
Well as a matter of fact it turn's out the monkey's not really evil. It just grimaces whilst thinking, and points coz it's trying to start up a conversation.
Besides Section 64B of the contract is directly referencing the bilateral involvement of SWP in IWWHIIWWHITOMIROTPG: The Game! as well as IWWHITOMIROTPG and in no way involved any mention or reference to any type of sound effects, hplikelike, or any related titles or characters. No rights were reserved, at least not there. So either start referencing the correct subclauses or GTFO!
Arrow keys/Num Pad/WASD - Move around
Left click - Interact/talk to/look at (interacts wherever applicable)
Right click - Look at
Ctrl+Q/Ctrl+C/Alt+X - Quit
That was BRILLIANT. Really... the art is wonderful (for some reason Guybrush and some of his facial expressions reminded me of Rincewind of Discworld fame) and I loved all the voice acting. I'd definitely pay for a full version of a game that looked like that.
Only thing - I'm sure in the credits it said Puzzlebox did Elaine's voice rather than Morgan.
Yes Elaine was the cameo line in the intro sequence (subtitled in purple), "You fight like a pox-infected undead cow!" This was one of the lines voiced by puzzlebox along with the narrator's lines. As she said, Morgan was voiced by Maxilyah.
BTW, just noticed the tags on this thread. I haven't seen them before. Good work guys!

Hate the game? Think you could do better? Come work on a new animation!
Neutral? Just do it.

I just found it funny that you would include something so trivial. Then again, I guess it's the small touches that count.
