I'm going to record by Guybrush audition tonight, It will pretty much be my normal voice. but it may be distorted because I will likely do it on my phone then bluetooth send it to my computer

Can't wait to hear it (if my computer will let me...)! If you get the part, you won't be doing the work through the phone, I hope?

I was up here as Moose and a potential Guybrush before everything went down.

If I wanted to, could I possibly redo some of my old auditions and try out for some other characters? I think I could do a better job on some of my old ones, and try to knock out some of the voices that we still desperately need.

Definitely. You can send the old ones if you have them, but if you prefer trying new ones, you should absolutely feel free. And apply for as many roles as you want.

nah, this is just teh best way to get it in without my parents there.

If I get the part I will do the recordings on my computer with garage band, making sure that I am alone at the time so no noise is coming in besides my voice and with monitor turned of so I can do it right

Do you want me to put you back up for Moose, and re-audition?

Ugh, sorry for the looong absence (been juggling a few other projects for the past month) but glad to hear there's a deadline. That'll give us something to really work with.

Hmm, since Tom remade the first post I notice no one is down for animators or artists. Just want to let you know I'm still up for animating. I don't know how many background artists are still on board. If there aren't any, I'll be happy to do a few backgrounds. That's if they're okay - backgrounds aren't my strong point!

My portfolio website is - http://www.reincarmation.com/

There's examples of my animation work and still art on there. Last time I was on the list for animation but not artwork/backgrounds. Let me know what you think :)

About the script - so far I've seen the ones posted on wave (up to a draft of the whole thing posted by Avistew on Jan 1st). Just want to be clear, is that the most recent script? I'll see if I can come up with some ideas, but I just want to make sure I'm looking at the right thing.

Nope, we've got a more recent one, but we started a new wave like two days ago. I'll invite you to it.

    Fangirls Screaming in Terror

Actually, I was thinking I could be one of the fangirls. ( Oh, and they don't just need to scream, they also need to, well, do other fangirl noises.)

Just so you know, I have scraped my MI2 (not SoMI2) script. I didn't really know where to take it. I will have a script about The Launch of the Screaming Narwhal in before March 5th. Unless someones already did it. In that case, i'll do something else.

Yup, we've done the whole script and are editing it/waiting for supreme overlord Pravetz to give us the Narwhal Seal of Approval.

Ok. Would I be able to help with the Seige of Spinner Cay by any chance?

Heres my audition for Zombie LeChuck. Beats my Guybrush. Click.

After the three month writing process this took, something tells me that won't be for a while. BUT! Stick around, maybe Almighty Ruler Tom has a different schedule.

    Will do.

    O_O

You people better get writing then.

May I suggest... a "I wonder what happened before" series?

Like, the first cartoon we make could be like.. what happened before the game started. Then we can do what happens between Le Chuck and Elaine as Guybrush is on Flotsam island. Then... how Morgan cought up and found Guybrush. And... what happened on flotsam island before guybrush got brought ashore. .. you know... fill in the empty space rather then trying to retell what everyone already knows.

I like this idea. Maybe we could also tell how Guybrush got the cutlass, and how Elaine got captured.

If we had one episode for each little thing, we could get a lot of episodes.
  • edited February 2010
I love this idea! Genius. It'd be great to see it put into action.
  • edited February 2010
I think it's a great idea too. Sounds like it has lots of potential.
  • edited February 2010
Yeah! Whoever decides to take on a project like this will have my eternal respect. Maybe Telltale should do it... But I doubt they could fit it into their busy schedule.
  • edited February 2010
    Agreed
  • edited February 2010
Maybe we should make a new thread for this idea alone.
  • edited February 2010
Or just convince TP to consider this idea. How about some points for him:

•There would be a lot more freedom in how the story goes, and a lot more room to fit our own humour.
•It would be new, and wouldn't just be telling people what they already know.
•We could make up new characters, allowing more people to become involved for voice acting.

If you don't agree with this idea, then i'm still ok with the current plan. By the way, any thought on my Zombie LeChuck audition?

I'm just about to download your auditions ^^

Also I've started working on some visual ideas based on the script on wave. Will upload it (on wave) once I have access to a scanner :P

    Anyways, for now... *clicks auditions*

    EDIT:

apenpaap - just listened to your auditions. Nice! I especially liked your DeSinge, particularly the first 2 recordings. We'll see what Tom thinks when he gets back.

dentbuds - sounds good. Very sinister. Again, when Tom's around we'll be able to get his opinion.

Guys. Class is killing me. Glad to see you guys are still working on this! Keep it up, and sorry for my absense. I might not be seen for another 7-8 weeks. Please don't let this die. Once again, sorry...

EDIT: If everyone likes this idea I'm too busy to educate myself on, I give it the thumbs up!

I may end up learning flash and making my own by the time this actually gets started.

I'd actually end up making an anime type adaptation of a monkey island game.

But then again, I have to actually finish one that isn't tales to do it
