Um, I posted my audition videos on here, didn't I? If so, what did people think? I can put on a narrator-type voice if you want (I won't make it like the SEs, though)

Why is DeSinge crossed out on the first page?

I'm guessing it's that way because they currently already have a voice actor for the character.

    I guess your right.

I'll go look for them. :D

Those were good! Screw LucasArts, you could've made the SE alone! XD I really liked your Pirates on Scabb. Largo was also a good one, but let's wait for further opinion.

So is this still up then. Im not doing this but i would love a iwwh again.

    Whoa, revived! :winslow:

I'm still up for doing some animation and art and whatnot. In fact, I started storyboarding something waaay back earlier this year. Will have to dig it up and get on with it.

Also, here's hoping I'm not going to be the only one doing the visual bits! Considering how long the script is at the moment...

Hopefully we'll find someone else to join you, Scrawffler.

I can do artsy stuff too. The only problem I'd have would be that I don't have Flash. Yet. We'll see.

But I can do almost all kinds of other stuff.
  • edited July 2010
I can definatly do some animation/art. I don't have flash, but I have a program called ToonBoom, and I have recently discovered that I can save my creations in Flash format. This seems like a good opurtunity to put it to good use. So.... tell me if you need me.

I also have my audition for Zombie LeChuck somewhere. If not, i'll record a new one and put it up.

    Artist, eh?

    I apologize.

But seriously, maybe I could handle, backgrounds?

Now, obviously I can't keep putting my voice onto game clips, if I (hopefully) get the role of a character in the flash, can anyone tell me how to just record a voice file without any clips to go with it?

I assume you mean that you don't want there to be a video along with your audition, just your voice. If i'm right, in your start menu, go to programs, accessories, entertainment, and then you will see a simple program called sound recorder. You'll need a microphone to use it though. Thats for a Windows XP computer, and I'm pretty sure its the same for any other Windows computer.

Thanks for that! I'm using Vista, but I just searched for sound recorder in the start menu and it was there.

    No Problem.

I cooked this up a while ago, and thought I'd share it. Its to the side of Club 49 on Flotsom Island.

Depends. Are your backgrounds as scary as that?

    Great! So you want in?

I'll gladly throw something into the pot voice-wise (I'm terrible at animation). Who are the parts you're in most need of right now that could possibly be pulled off by a 17 year old? Also, I should just upload my audition to Megaupload or some other file-sharing site as an audio file, correct?

Well, I tried making one on the computer and failed miserably.. I could draw hand on, but I would need to make sure my scanner's working..

So, it appears we've got quite an amount of art people. Need moar VA people though.

Well, here's my audition piece. It's a short dialogue between Stan, some random old pirate voice that I came up with, Winslow, and Guybrush, along with a short scene at LeChuck's fortress. I feel that while my Winslow and LeChuck are awful, my Stan is decent and I have a somewhat Guybrush-sounding voice. I'll be glad to help in any way, shape, or form! :)

    Oh, they're expanding? :D
  • edited July 2010
I'll see if I can muster up some more auditions, this time just a voice recording, maybe with a little music for atmosphere. I would say monologues from different characters (Guybrush: opening of CMI) would be the way to go. I promise I will do some narrator stuff. Would you like just a "I wonder what happens in.... da da da da" or something more expansive?

Yes, I am the lead contractor. We're planning on adding a gazebo, for the hot tub.

Yes, I would like in. Just tell me what you want/need.

Great everybody. What we need is on the first post. :P

I'm creating a music track to go along with my audition as I type this:D
  • edited July 2010
I'd like to get involved with the writing for this if possible.
  • edited July 2010
Eh, I don't really feel it for being an artist anymore.

I doubt i'll be a VA though, I am substantially younger then most of you people so that means a worse voice.

No I dont but I'll set one up right now!

EDIT: Just set one up. PM you my gmail address right now...

So... what do you want me to do? If someone sent me a draft of the script, I could start making backgrounds for the scenes.

It means your voice may be higher, so you could be perfect for some of the roles. You could probably do GB better than most of us anyway.

Exactly. I'm only 15 and I'm doing auditions. You never know, you may get the part.

As am I. My basketball coach once told me "You'll miss 100% of the shots you don't take." Go for it, BoneFreak:D

Guybrush has a very immature voice. I don't mean this in a rude way, just to clear that up, but Guybrush has that very young voice. Are you good at drawing as well? Or can you help with scripting?

Okay, I'm pretty young. I could do it!
  • edited July 2010
Ok, I've made my audition. This time it's just my voice with some background music. I hope you like it!

So this project really is still alive? I thought I read a post a month or so ago that said it had died. :S I was pretty disappointed, I was really looking forward to playing Stan.
  • edited July 2010
After the reaction from my live broadcast the other day, I think I may put together a VA audition for some of the parts you need.

I'll take a look at how this project is going first too.
    :)
