Are some people just ignorant? I feel that my attraction to violence, horror films is like a disease. Having seen people cut to pieces, guts hanging out, sewn together, starved to the bone, yelling out in insanity hours and hours on day on day...holes in their bodies the size of fists...
Anyways, I'm attracted to the horror genre, but some people think it's a positive energy, or that it's cool or something, they seem to feel like I'm ignorant when I say South Park or some juvenile shit like that is too derogatory at times...

That's people these days. It isn't good if at least one person gets his head blown off. Horror movies and gorey games are for people who are "hardcore" and "cool" the rest of the genres are for people above the age of 12:D

I'll let you know the SAW series is a quite thought-provoking series when it's good (ie not Saw V).

I agree, in the first movies the plots were really good - you couldn't guess what was going to happen next which is different to most films now. Also the psychological aspect of them can be pretty interesting
I mean, there used to be a shock factor with the gore - but not really anymore, I mean, there's so much gore now that it's not shocking at all. And I don't really find it scary, I'm more of a suspense-horror kinda person
A friend sending me a message as a joke has meant that I've only had about 4 hours sleep. Yeah, I know it's my fault that I didn't go to bed until sometime after 8am but still.
Besides the starters and the two legendaries, I have no idea what any of the new 150 Pokemon look like. I've spoiled nothing for myself. This is gonna be fun.
Ugh, why does the mailman have to arrive as soon as I'm about to start a ranked online match? Oh well, I don't really mind since it was to give me my SnM DVDs
So I slept most of the day because, despite my best efforts to avoid being so, I'm sick. Right now working some stuff out for the Stormwrack campaign because sick or not I WILL DM.
I decided Im gona buy the WWE Wrestlemania PPV rather then watch it on a live stream for free because the quality is crap on there and the line up so far is really good I don't mind paying to watch it.

Yes, movies, etc etc are fictional. I just feel like some times people are judged for feeling, thinking certain things are not appropriate, violent themes in movies, what not. It's esp interesting when those people have seen far worse, or just as bad things in real life.
It's like a poision, a infection. I started this year with Aqua(music) and went to DeathCore Metal in the same year. It spreads, it consumes. It's a soul, a spirit, a living thing. I lust for more of it, I love things that are TWISTED. I NEED THINGS THAT ARE TWISTED.
Having seen things that are TWISTED in the real world you might think I'd not want to be reminded of it, or feed that "spirit", "soul" within, but I LUST for more.
Now, conceptionally, some people will say they are dark hearted, twisted, sadistic for liking dark medias, but have then seen real guts? Have they held real dying bodies in their arms, heard the real screams of insanity? They judge people who are too soft, mellow, who shy away from media depictions but if they truly faced these horrors in the flesh would they want to feed that EYE it's candy!?
It's a living and breathing thing, this feeling, this fuel...it's a living thing!
I don't know, of course seeing disturbing things in real life is different - but that's kind of the point. Sometimes when people can't watch horrors or something like that people reckon they're soft because they can't watch things that are disturbing - but still fictional. Of course it's more scary seeing something horrible to a real person, because you feel for that person - it's more detached in the media.

...This is pretty regressive thinking and shouldn't be supported. It's not like your entertainment doesn't feature things that are meant to be "cool" when you see them. Horror is a rich genre that, at its best, taps into some of the deepest parts of the human experience. Feel free to not watch them because you're scared or you're grossed out by the imagery, but don't go about saying you're better than everyone else because of it.

Sweeping generalizations are so much fun, aren't they?
Not all horror equals gore, and not all gore equals lowest common denominator titillation. Nor do all horror fans ONLY watch/read/play horror. In fact, there's not a single group of people on Earth who happen to share a common interest that acts identically to the other people in the group. Humans don't work like that.
But I put it to you sir, that you'd think less of me for saying that Bulletstorm so far is game of the year.
Which it is, it makes Dook look like an elderly, primeval, fuddy-duddy gimp
Wait, when did I say that?
I think you have me mixed up with someone else. I have no opinion on Bulletstorm other than I think it's great that it's laughing at Halo and Call of Duty, and I think that on paper their skillshot system sounds like a great idea. I haven't played it, but I don't have a negative view of it.
If you really think watching someone die morbidly over and over again is funny and you don't think there's anything wrong with that, there's something seriously wrong with you.

It's head banging, it's, I'm sorry, it's funny. I know it's not real, there's no blood. It's not graphic. I know i'm not perfect. It's not graphic man, it's really "clean".
Okay, you know what this is where the discussion stops and discuss something else. You all need to take a breather, doodo...next time, something like this appears on this thread, there will be repercussions.
Seriously, a lot slips by on this board and from now on if their is any flaming or any sort of offensiveness going on there will be repercussions.
I'm sorry sir. I didn't know I stepped over any lines. I apologize. I'm sorry, I'm ignorant to what I've done but I apologize for my offenses. I've read what you've said, and I respect your judgment, I'm sorry I'm not with it. It's unfortunate I'd make you feel like people break rules, don't respect rules. I'm not aware of my offenses. I'm sorry that I've made you feel this way and that I've tested your patience as a admin.
Some things seem to be nature, wild, and I apologize that I have degraded this forum. I appear to be thoughtless and inconsiderate, and I apologize.
I don't know what I've done. It's your job to take control, keep order, I accept the consequences. I don't control the consequences. I'm not aware of what behaviors and content were too much, but I accept that I must be dealt with the same as any one else here.

But that's just my two cents ^^

They have to be, why else would the internet be filled of so many of them?

They provide me with such great material to make jokes with.
(Then again, I do really miss my fellow mistfits....

Fuck you. Seriously.
At least give a warning.

This isn't appropriate at all.
and after watching that video, thats a little morbid and disgusting even if it was meant to be clever.
