It is always proper etiquette to provide your respects, whether verbally or in silence before lightening the mood anyway. There is nothing that can make it better or ease the immediate pain, all we can do is be courteous towards our fellow man if even for a little while.
Tell me I'm not the only person on here who hates Eliza Dushku.
She has really weird eyes and an annoying voice. Also, a sack of potatoes could act Echo better than her. HATE

I wouldn't say I hate her because I've never met her and she's probably a lovely person. However, I do agree that she shouldn't have been playing Echo. So many people write of Dollhouse because the "main character" isn't all that interesting, which is a shame since pretty much every other character in the show is amazing and hilarious. Well, except for Tahmoh Penikett, who's nearly as flat and uninteresting.
Can we agree that whatever the case, Fran Kranz steals the show?
So today at work, there were some people packing bags for charity. You know, some kids from a secondary school. (It was for a breast cancer charity)
They were all boys of different ages, since the girls were doing a charity run event at another time, this was the lads contribution to the fund raiser.
Now here's the question, who do you think of all those boys on all those tills made the most money?
Funnily enough, it was the lad on the very last till, my till.
In about 3 1/2 hours, he had raised £35! Thirty five pounds, from just helping people pack their shopping.
That is a heck of a lot more than I have ever seen in my experience with packers before.
So I was doing a little thinking and I think I know why.
Two reasons
1. A lot of people were getting stuff for parties. Its the Queens Diamond Jubilee, and people were happy that they had time off to party. People in a good mood tend to be more generous.
2. The kid himself, really was a kid, about 12 or 13 with a baby face.
He did it perfectly.
He was attentive, (didn't slack for a minute!), he was very polite (didn't get in anyone's way, and waited until people were down there to ask them), and he was very clear behind his motivations.
And people really did believe he was sincere (well I think he was very sincere, but if he was or not is irrelevant, the fact he acted sincere was enough).
An older kid might have not come off as sincere, since being older they are seen as less "pure" or good intentioned (people would think they were doing it for their resumes or as some kind of reward ect.)
And people must have felt sorry for him sometimes. Being all the way at the back by himself, I think that made him look like he was trying harder.
A lot of people were literally chucking pounds in the lad's bucket. Notes as well.
Guilt, sympathy, pity, innocence. A lot of interesting mixture of emotions contributed to the lads success. Forces way beyond that lads control.
(Many people were letting him pack not because they needed to, but to just humour the boy (and themselves to an extent! XD))
I joked to the lad that the only way he could have made any more today, was if he was a 9 year old girl that was cute as a button! XD
(He found that kind of funny. Really lovely kid, managed to put up with my antics throughout the day)
Hey, I could have even influenced that success possibly.
You see, unlike many people on the tills, I'm quite friendly and chatty, and I always ALWAYS, try to go at a steady pace.
Nothing irritated me more than when till workers fling the shopping at you, or make you have to ask them for bags and that.
I definately didn't irritate anyone, maybe even pleased a few people, (I always get compliments from more elderly people who appreciate my steady pace. I always argue that trying to go faster than the packer is pointless as it only stresses people out and somtimes even slows them down. I prepare their bags nice and quick, I make sure they have something near their hands to load into a bag. I try to go in a logical order. ect. ect.), which transferred onto their postitive perpective of the boy.
Heh, I should imagine next time, they will definately be considering getting more younger kids to take part! HAHA! XD

They should make a show called Topher's Birthday. Just make it about Topher hanging out in the Dollhouse on diagnostics day. I'd watch the shit out of that show.

I think they just should have just buckled down and made Topher the main character. I mean, he has the most interesting story arc in the sense that he's the only character who has anything resembling a story arc.
Also, I would also watch the shit out of a Topher's Birthday show.
After two weeks of coming home to a guest, it's weird to not have somebody here. Still smells like my previous two guests. IT'S LIKE THEY'RE STILL HERE BUT THEY'RE NOT.
Also Skryim will be getting the $20 Dawnguard expansion, but shitty business practices are keeping it locked to the Xbox console for a timed exclusive period.
Kickstarter!
So many worthwhile projects!
Phil Tippet's Mad God - The guy behind the stop motion special effects in the original Star Wars films is making a gorgeous, dark, mature Stop Motion film that I simply MUST see.
...or, well, don't. I can't afford to be signed up. BUT I WISH I COULD BE SIGNED UP.
Two Guys Spaceventure - Space Quest is one of my first adventure game experiences and I really wish I could give back to the Two Guys for everything they've done for me.
Sullivan's Sluggers - The somewhat dull(by my estimation) human character art is ENTIRELY forgiven through INSANELY gorgeous monster art and a completely wackball premise that should be tons of fun.
Basically guys I wish I wanted less stuff or I could afford the stuff I want.
That looks like a lot of other kickstarters actually.
Well, I'm missing the list of stretch goals, where I show the increasingly unreasonable amounts I'll spend on Kickstarter. When I max THAT out, the goal is to make a "money throne" on which to enjoy all the things I've just bought. If I am able to build the throne entirely out of ones, I move on to fives, and so on.
I have somehow succeeded in breaking Psychonauts to the point where I cannot get past the initial start-up screen.
The only possible thing I can think of that I did was that I saved the game and exited out of the game, so maybe I ruined the save path and that confused everything. But seriously, I can't even get to the main menu.

First, make a backup copy of your save files (which are located at [Psychonauts folder]\Profiles\ ).
If your game is on Steam, go to the game's properties in Steam and "Verify Integrity of Game Cache." Also, check the game's video settings in the DisplaySettings.ini file. Either make sure "ScreenWidth" and "ScreenHeight" are set to a compatible resolution, or else set "FullScreen=false" (after which, you can set the desired fullscreen resolution while ingame).
oh, and you should also reboot. That might also fix it.

Actually, I think I figured out what went wrong. See, I have two hard drives on my computer, one for storage and an SSD for speed. I keep Steam on the SSD but keep most of my games on the other hard drive by moving them with the Game Save Manager.
Apparently, when I did this with Psychonauts, Steam panicked and redownloaded it so I had two copies on my computer. Then the computer panicked because it didn't know which one to load. Or something like that. I don't really know why it would have a symptom like that. I do know that after I deleted the extra copy, everything seemed to work fine. It even preserved all my save games.

Just for you, A simpsons reference. "REO speedwagon!"
Ditto with the others. Wish I could say something funny that would make it better, but I can't. Sorry for your loss.
My condolences to you and your family. No one should have to go through this kind of thing at such a young age.

I met Phil LaMarr.

Two awesome trailers Iv seen from E3!
Bdit (not a spelling mistake I just wanted to replace E with a B is that a crime!?)
The Holmes one has me really hyped up! I really want to play it just from that one trailer.
Lego Batman 2 looks awesome though.
Why was I not informed that this exists?

Also Skryim will be getting the $20 Dawnguard expansion, but shitty business practices are keeping it locked to the Xbox console for a timed exclusive period.
