so could it be that Sam and Max somehow ended up in Sams dream?
Or, Sam's dream ended up in reality? Dr. Norrington had a lot of time to arrange things while Sammun-Mak was occupied with Sam's trial, after all. And since he reveals himself in this EP, it seems self-explanatory that he's responsible for the army of Sams. But still, whoever the hell is he?
And the way you are always adding "OR IS HE?" in terms of Sal being not evil let me think he really isn't that good guy everybody thinks he is. Maybe HE is Dr. Norrington? I think we will get some unexpected twists along the way till the end.
That reminds me: who / what was Papierwaite was addressing when he was talking to Dr. Norrington in his office? To me, it seemed he was addressing the tentacles in front of the office door. Can anyone confirm or refute?
Is this the episode where we find out how the power core and Carol the scanner came to be amongst the rubbish in the sewer? I distinctly remember Max asking Sam how the power core came to be down there and instead of saying "that's not important" or "that's for another time, little buddy", he definitely said "that's for another episode".
Mike: Are those really Sam clones or are they of a different nature (time travel duplicates, relatives, aliens that happen to look like Sam, shapeshifters, etc...)?
Well I hope this episode, will be full of laughs and great wonderous things...hmmm... I'm betting it's either Jimmy Two Teeth, Bosco, and or Bluster Blaster me hopes.
What was the biggest challenge in writing this episode?
I've compiled a list of the surviving characters of the past seasons that could possibly return this episode. The ones in bold are the major ones that are most likely to return.
Abe Lincoln
Bessie
The Bug Bluster Blaster
The Director
Jurgen's Monster
Leonard Steakcharmer
The Maimtron 9000
The Moai Heads
Myra Stump Mr. Featherly
Pedro
Puppet President
Satan Sybil The Two-Teeths
So, how way off am I with the most-likely characters, Mike?
It's possible to complete 205 without seeing that scene.
IIRC, Chuckles shows up the second time you break a personal hell. If you finish the second and third part of that act after each other without going into the main office in between, you miss out.
I have a prediction: After (insert villain here) finds out how much Sam missed Max, he/she creates a whole bunch of Sams to follow Max anywhere, so that said vilain can find Max by following all the Sams, and get the Toys.
in the scant minutes since they wrested the toybox away from Sammun-Mak?
That's awfully fast work.
I'm really stumped as to where the dogs are coming from. if I had to venture a theory, and even I don't think this is particularly likely, i'd say that something either Sam or Sammeth did allowed someone like say Jergen to create an army of minions from their genetics, to get revenge (Jergen would have good reason to hate them both). It's certainly possible Jergen could return from hell, and he's the best suspect for monster making.
I stick by my earlier theory - those clones are wearing loincloths as were worn in ancient egypt. They are somehow tied in to Anubis or Charlie Hotep (who was sitting in the tomb for centuries)

Would make more sense to make the Sams take Max right to him.
We haven't got to play as Sam and Max in their true forms for two episodes (bodyless, noir, ancestors). Are they back to "normal" this time around?
I wanna know this too. Because, well, something different is cool and all, but cannot be something different if the normal it's not there. They are going to be theirselfes the whole time or we'll see more exploration of their personalities like the past chapter? (It's not like I'll mind)
Or maybe Max rewrote reality too..
I was kind of hoping for that around the end of 303, but don't seem that likely (but one can hope).
I would have loved if Max was suddenly the bag guy, then spend the episode fighting him and when it was over the world would go back to normal and Sam and Max would continue as if nothing had happened..
They're presenting this season like a tv season hence the narrator and the new theme intro. It follows the structure of a television show like the Twilight Zone or the Outer Limits. The fictitious show needs a title. It's called the Devil's Playhouse. That's what the Devil's Playhouse /is/. The television framework. Whether or not the name has any particular significance (and it probably does) remains to be seen.
Personally, I think that we've already been to The Devil's Playhouse this season. In fact, we've spend a good majority of the episodes there. Because I'm willing to bet that The Devil's Playhouse is actually Max's Brain.
Are we ever going to find out what the Devil's Playhouse is? Or is that just the name of the season, and has no influence on the series at large?
If you go to the main DPH page you'll notice it's a movie theater, and you'll notice that there are all sorts of strange but familiar art features on the structure.
That, is the real Devil's Playhouse. Where the Narrator shows us all 5 chapters to whoever decides to go into the unknown..
Comments
Don't worry, I know it is. There was minimal seriousness in my post .
2.will max be able to use the toys of power maximus could use(minus astral projection of course)
3.Will we get to abuse more of the foreign guy.
Seconded!
Oh, what a relief. If the naked Sams turned out to be the good guys, that would render the EP3 cliffhanger incredibly lame

Will there more inventory puzzles this time? I think that the lack of inventory puzzles last episode made it a bit too easy.
Also, is the game going to have characters? I like games that have characters! OOH! Are they going to have faces?!
Will I get a free bar of chocolate when I play it? Is it regular chocolate or some other flavor? I like most chocolates!
Is the color green going to make an appearance?
Girl Stinky's gonna die?!?!?
Not funny -_-

I don't think we'll be seeing any of the 'hell characters' again e.g
Where was
he appeared briefly wandering about in the background and also i think just before the final confrontation. he was definitely there.
We saw in a cinematic his name on the wall of his cubicle but not the man himself. Nor could we walk round there to piss him off.
I DEFINITELY saw the man himself in a cutscene. I think it was when Satan was complaining to the others about low efficiency.
No...don't make me do it...bah! I'm going to have to play 205 again now...
I'm planning to play through every previous Sam and Max while waiting for the final episode...

No need to play through it. This video at 4:36 in the background.
Cheers, man. How did I not notice that in the 10 or so times I've played through that episode?
That's awfully fast work.

But still, my original thought still involves the enemy getting the toys using the Sams.

Anyway, how many Toys will be in this Episode? And will we get mind reading after 3 other Episodes?
And has Sam finally found his family/true love?

I forgot where I read this, but we're supposed to find out at the end of the season.
