Very Nice :D I watched it again, but when I watched it on spike it showed alot more clips! Like marty walking in hill valley with einstein and marty talking with 1930s doc in his house, lol he had to find a yellow chicken it was part of the mission

Oh, I'll still watch the Spike broadcast. I'll just watch it at a normal hour of the day off my DVR.

Random thoughts on the trailer and other segments of the show (censored for those who haven't seen it yet), in no particular order:
    - The most shocking thing about the trailer (for me): GEORGE MCFLY KNOWS OF THE EXISTENCE OF DOC BROWN! HE WAS STANDING IN DOC'S LAB!:eek::eek::eek::eek:

    - George, by the way, looks and sounds great. Much better than that ugly little picture we saw of him in the "Blitz Through Time" instructions.

    - STILL no sighting of Biff. Curiouser and curiouser...

    - No release date!

    - I'm impressed by how fluid the movements of all of the characters, especially Marty, are.

    - I'm guessing one of the puzzles will involve doing a science experiment for Young Doc to prove you know science.

    - Christopher Lloyd mentioned something about "automated traffic" in his interview, so maybe the DeLorean isn't remote controlled when it arrives driverless?

    - Everybody who talked about this game as a continuation of the series pretty much stopped just short of outright calling it BTTFIV. Cool. I like that a lot better than that "It's a sequel, but it's not a sequel" kind of stuff we were hearing around PAX.

    - 1931 is confirmed.

    - It was pretty much all but confirmed that we will NOT be going to the future in the game.

    - May 14th, 1986.

    - Doc in jail was not a surprise.

    - Prediction for the structure of the first episode: Marty in 1986 -> goes back to 1931 -> gets Doc out of jail somehow, but in the process alters the time stream to create havoc in 1986 -> Marty and Doc have to go back to 1931 to fix the problem, which involves Young Doc.

I guess what I'm trying to say is that they've gotten Marty's facial expressions down perfectly.

Marty's voice in the trailer was more off then from what I've heard in sound clips. Poo

Concerning markeres point about no Biff shown in the trailer, I have a couple thoughts....

For one, they didn't show THAT much in the trailer. That doesn't mean Biff isn't in the game. Secondly, one of the episodes is called "Get Tannen", so obviously a Tannen will be in the game at some point. I do wonder what his voice will sound like. It's looking less and less likely that Tom Wilson will voice the character.

As for Chri5's comment about the voice, it's still pretty dang close. Shoot, even Christopher Lloyd doesn't sound exactly like himself from the movies. All things considered, I think they've done a wonderful job with voice casting so far.

I also love Telltale's changing logo on the photograph. Very BttF-esque.

Oh, I know Biff is in the game. I'm just curious why we haven't seen him at all in any of the promotional materials* (he wasn't in any of the in-game clips shown throughout the episode either).

*except for those two small pictures in the "Blitz Through Time" instructions

Saw the trailer 4 times. No chance of me sleeping tonight. Looks and sound so good!!!
Sad to see that we won't get an episode in January. Still, I've waited long enough for a decent BTTF game to surface; another couple of weeks/months won't kill me.

January? First episode is coming out this month... Unless you're waiting for the PS3 version, but I hadn't heard any definitive date (or even month) for that.

The second episode is coming out in February, according to the end of the trailer. It's possible that it'll come out Tuesday, February 1st, so not too much of a difference from getting an episode in January.

I sincerely hope that's the case. Not to say I won't mind waiting until the middle of the month.
It would also seem reasonable to (somewhat) evenly spread the release dates out.

BTW, on a personal note, as someone who's been following Telltale since the first Sam and Max game back in 06, I gotta say that I'm really impressed with how far they've come in the graphics department. Comparing the level of small details and facial expressions in the BttF game to the first Sam and Max game, it's like night and day.
  • edited December 2010
I actually agree with you on the details. While the graphics are stylized, you could still see a fair amount of freckles on Marty's face, not to mention the metal texture of the DeLorean.

And the facial expressions/body movements also look top notch.
  • edited December 2010
Something else I just noticed about the trailer: There's no "Last Time Departed" on the time display in the DeLorean. So that may rule out Doc sending it for Marty. Which, of course, begs the question: Where When the hell did it come from?!?
  • edited December 2010
That lip sync was terrible, please tell me that was a glitch of the video or a pre-release issue that won't be a problem in the final game.

I say this because everything else in the trailer looks great so the one thing wrong with it stands out. Characters and environments look great so far, and the brief story setup seems very promising.

Also thumbs up to the Huey Lewis track. You know, it'll be interesting to see if we get some authentic "licensed" music in the 1930s setting as well

OMG I am so excited it looks AMAZING! Thank you Telltale! You guys are the best EVER!

Even Marty's hair had nice animations to it.

This is my biggest question. I so hope this gets a decent explication.

Ya, I loved hearing the Huey Lewis BttF theme playing at the end of it. Just fits so perfectly.

As far as I'm aware you would have to have come back from the future to call this old. I thought this trailer only premiered last night.

Looks awesome anyway. I pre-ordered the game straight after watching the trailer. :)

EDIT: Yes, it was a GameTrailers world exclusive and they uploaded it today!

You know, I keep forgetting that remote-control-Delorean is actually canonical. I always think of it as something that just happens in BTTF The Ride, but of course he does control the Delorean via remote in the first movie. So yeah I suppose that could easily be what he's done here.

It is interesting that this Delorean appears all iced up, as it did on the very first trip (that effect decreases with each trip throughout the series). So that suggests that this is a "fresh" time machine. Combined with the blank "last time departed" panel and the non-specific seemingly pre-recorded message from Doc, it makes me think that this is a "fail-safe" machine that he had set up somehow, rather than the machine that he had been traveling around in

    I'm very excited for this.
But I have to admit, the faces look very stiff when they talk, and Doc's voice sounds a little flat or toned down compared to the movies to me.
Also I'm getting more worried we're going to see a lot more of James Arnold Taylor's Young Doc than Lloyds real Doc :(

That worry has been voiced more than once in these forums. I couldn't really relate to that. I seriously doubt that Young Doc will be present in ALL of the episodes, as he will be tied to one time period only (1931). I also doubt that we'll have even a single episode in which Lloyd's "old Doc" is NOT present. So while the Young Doc/Old Doc ratio might be in favour of his younger self in Episode 1, I presume we'll hear a lot more of Lloyd in the later episodes.

Well Telltale has stated that getting hold of Lloyd for the voice recording sessions was a struggle because he's so busy. That also adds to mo worry.

Can I get that in a pie chart or graph?

To be honest, I wasn't very much impressed with the trailer itself. S&M Season 3 debut trailer was much more awesome, IMO.

However, I was very interested in the gameplay footage and interviews from the GT TV show itself, and it was very cool. Liked seeing the same area in 1986 and 1931.
  • edited December 2010
WOW!!!!! HHAHAHA! I smiled my way through the whole trailer!

Amazing! And George looks like George and sounds like him!(one thing people were worried about)

And Doc being caught. Great plot outline =)
Owh and in-game Christopher Lloyd sounds even more like himself. Same goes for Marty!

This trailer delivered alright! Albeit bit a short. Should be called a teaser. =P
But the gameplay footage makes up for it.
  • edited December 2010
Owh man...I watched it five times now! And I am liking it more.
    Still getting goosebumps.

The animation of Marty in the car going up to 88 mph was just beautiful! All the details are there. And again the voice acting...owh man...

Nice touch btw in the beginning how TallTaleGames changes into TellTale.

    Two problems.

There are two problems. One, the lip animations. Two, IT WAS DAMN SHORT. The feel of the movies are present, and the details are really pretty.
  • edited December 2010
Since he's confirmed to be in, can somebody tells us who's voicing George? I assume it's not Crispin Glover
    or Jeffrey Weissman
, though maybe I'm wrong. Is he a Telltale regular?
  • edited December 2010

I think the synchronization is off. Because when Marty says 'Doc, where are you?'
you can see the lips mouthing 'where are you' only a little later.

Another couple of things I have to say:
-Hill Valley looks mighty fine!!! Really want to explore it!
    -Young Brown looks great!

But what I am still so happy about is Marty's character design. It just really clicks and works!
They made the design so 'endearing' looking. It conveys the trades of Marty really well.
I just want to comfort the fellow. =(
  • edited December 2010
    Saw the first trailer, and I'm very excited, but there's one problem with it that is also present in other Telltale games;

The lip-sync in human characters needs improvement.

But still, other than that, it's perfect.

Hi guys, I don't know if this has already been posted...

    http://www.gametrailers.com/flash/umremote416e.swf?mid=707353

On my pc only the Standard Definition works, I don't know if it's temporary...

Yeah, the lip synch is a little off (I'm so spoiled by BioWare's near-perfect lip synching, heh) but that was 1.21 jigowatts of pure awesome.

And hell, I think AJ's Marty might actually get me to like or at least tolerate Marty for once (I... never really cared for him for one reason or another. Shameful, I know). His model looks so... woobie.

    Can't wait for the game!
  • edited December 2010
Anyone noticed the picture with both Marty and Einstein sitting in the DeLorean? So I guess we have to go back to 1986 again to pick him up.
  • edited December 2010
Also, I hope the "Talltale" logo makes it into the game. Like, for the opening. That's one of the most brilliant things I've ever seen.
