Subtítulos? Translated: Subtitles? (This thread is in Spanish)

edited March 2012 in Back to the Future

I don't assume they'd go for that... But hey, it would be a good excuse for you to improve on your English, ain't I right?

Release date is the same for, well, everywhere, since it's online distribution and all...

    Just LOL! :D

Telltale usual answer: "we know that there's a huge request for localizations, and we're keeping that in mind."
That means: "just wait for a decade or two and you'll discover by yourself - if TT will not have already released it in Spanish by then, probably it will not be localized."

    Hello folks!

As a Spaniard I would like to ask the Telltale Staff how could I get the lines of text appeared in the game to a text file in order to translate them to my language and share it with the rest of the people so we all would be able to play the game with Spanish subtitles.

I'm a translator who loves BTTF and it'd be a pleasure, so I would do it freely.

Note: I know BTTF is also called "Volver al futuro" in Latin America but I'm from Spain where the franchise is well known as "Regreso al Futuro". I think "Back" is a noun in the original title and not a verb.

There are legal problems about this. Many have offered to do this with previous games in the past. Sorry man.

There's no Spanish version yet. Actually, we don't really know IF there will be a Spanish version
  • edited December 2010
There obviously will be. Since they made a text only for the french version, it's likely other text versions will appear in the future.
  • edited December 2010
I'd thank some Telltale official word about it.

Hello, I am from Basque Country (Spain) and I would like to know if the game have a spanish version, with subtitles in spanish for example. I would like to know if the game can will be downloaded from the Steam too, as Monkey Island game for example. Sorry for my bad english.
  • edited December 2010
The game appears in Steam for buy and download it, but there is only in english, french and german. Why there isn't in spanish? There are a lot of fans in spanish speaking countries...

To be fair, this is (I think) the first time TellTale have even had Multi-Language at release, having both English and German versions upon release with French Subs available is a first for them, they usually just do English only.

All the Wallace & Gromit episodes were multi-language as well, but they included Spanish.

Why doesn't BTTF Episode 1 include Spanish? Now you can't just say "Telltale doesn't localize games". It's in 3 languages already! (and 2 voice languages).

Luckily, I don't need the Spanish translations, but I know a lot of Spanish people would appreciate having them!
  • edited December 2010
I appreciate TT finally allowed multilanguage directly on their website!
I just hope they'll soon expand the available languages of BTTF also to Spanish and Italian!
(and maybe offer multilanguage also for their back catalogue ;) )

Oh, come on, I also was also a bit dissapointed with the game having English, German and French subtitles but NO Spanish, but there's no point in requesting that NOW. If it's been released like this, it will probably be the same for the rest of the season.

I have the game, and the only bad thing is the language.

    Please, release the spanish version!
