Hi guys! I am good at drawing, and I want to be a part of this project. Do you have space for a drawer?

Artists are most certainly needed; there's definitely room for you. Could you provide up with a sample of some of your artworks?

Well, I thought about the writing part. I am not good with programming or drawing. (At least not enough.)

Well, I'm sort of thinking of one spot in particular where I think that insult swordfighting will work out really well between two key characters, but I haven't' confirmed or even shared this idea with the rest of the group yet. Once I do, and if we do have this insult-swordfight, I may welcome you in to do the writing for that (writing insults and counter-insults), and perhaps even some additional dialogue options, as well as various dialogue responses from Guybrush as a result of player commands (eg. pick up... the moon). We'll probably need some additional writers for stuff like that. As for the plot, we have several creative minds that are shaping up a really nice storyline; it's more the smaller things that we'll need writing for (which I mentioned in the last sentence). But, of course, I'm sure one more creative mind for the plot/story could have its benefits :).

So, just gimme a little time, and I'll get back to you on this. I'm sure you'll be welcome to join soon. We'll just need to iron out a few kinks and do some more planning as a smaller group, and then we'll look at recruiting a little more ;). I'll be happy to have you on board, we've just gotta get things rolling to a higher degree internally, and then you can probably expect an invitation. Sorry if my response was a little... ramble-y.

Of course! But where do I have to send my artworks?

Unfortunately, we already have our Guybrush. But your audition was good, we need a young Guybrush, can you try that?

    That was my young Guybrush.

huh. sorry, i had my volume on low because it was late at night, so i thought it was your full grown guybrush!

You can post them here in this thread (either the links, or you can attach them), or you can send the links to me via personal message. The former would be best, then the whole team can view your art and see what you're capable of.

    Headphones?

It's all good. Tell the truth, my normal voice is more my Full Grown Guybrush voice.

hope this one gets complete. hate to see it end up like curse of monkey island old school edition or monkey island behind the scenes
  • edited November 2010
'Curse of Monkey Island - Old School Edition' isn't dead, though. It's just a slow-moving project is all. If Jackpumpkinhead just had a few more helpers and a bit more support, I'm pretty sure he'd get that project finished.

Sorry to be lazy as to not look back and read through, but do you need a voodoo lady or morgan?
  • edited December 2010
Voodoo lady yes.... Morgan no.... I think we still need an Elaine .... But I am just working on background art and not really part of the Voice actor part.

Dammit, I can actually do Morgan's voice, I'll have a go at the voodoo lady and maybe Elaine though, and post soonish :)

It wouldn't make much sense for Morgan to be there if Guybrush hasn't met her as of TOMI, unless someone makes them forget eachother for some reason.

do you guys need anymore artists?

Absolutely. If you could post one of your pieces here in this thread, then we'll take a look at it, and if we like it, you're practically recruited.

Any opinions on mine besides from The Highway?

By which I am not saying at all that The Highway's opinion doesn't matter.

Wait, can that be quoted against me in any way?

Yes, that is good! I think it's safe to say that you'll be our Voodoo Lady :). Of course it isn't perfect, but it's probably the best we could hope to get from the fan community, so congrats!

I also like this. If you're able to consistently make music of this caliber, then I think you'd be a great addition to the team.

excellent work. i would be very happy with you on the musical team, for sure

    how this?

As an actual picture, it's not bad. However, it isn't really the direction we're trying to go in. We're sort of moving in an art direction that is quite cartoony, with very smooth graphics.

People on "Monkey island speech project" may want to help.
i like to audition for meathook.
I think Patrick Warburton's voice works on him, and I can do his impression.

It's awesome to see that the project is shaping up so nicely! I can't wait to start recording some stuff! :D

I'm unsure about using Winslow in this game. It's pretty clear from Guybrush's dialogue with him in Episode 1 that they have never met before.

We won't be using him through the story to be interacted with by Guybrush; we've got something else planned.

What kind of GUI and inventory will you use? Will it be similar to CMI?

Yeah, quite similar. We're definitely using the coin interface, that's for sure.

And how about a musical number? LeChuck's army singing something in the Carnival perhaps?

Perhaps something similar to this or this?

I'm sad I missed this earlier... :( Everytime a fan game is made I'm always a month late. I would have loved to do music for a fangame... S.W.P. is always a great choice though!

This was my song that I made for Flotsam Island a while back.

This is a remix of episode 2's songs. At 3:30 is all original work though.

Hey man, don't count yourself out yet. I think our team would be happy to welcome aboard another member in the music department; I'd certainly love to have you on the team after seeing the talent you've displayed in your previous works. Heck, I'm sure even Silverwolfpet would be happy to have you with us!

Just come across this today. Loving the idea and some really great assets coming along too. I would love to get involved somehow with the creation of this game. I have many different skills that could be used in many different areas. What kind of roles do you have going? Just out of curiosity.

    Good work guys.

Thanks for the consideration Hayden. :) I havn't been around much since TOMI ended. Glad to see you're still around.

I'm not looking to step on anyones toe's though. If SWP wants to do it himself then I'll live.... :(

Good to see you can input video in so we could make an entire game cutscene, something that lacks with AGS.

not necessarily true. its difficult to do but you can still make them

SWP, I'm sure, would be fine with splitting up the workload
