I would like to know as well, though I could easily see TT wait until all the episodes have been released online so that PS3 users could simply purchase the entire game at once. We'll see.

I suppose, though why they wouldn't just go the Sam and Max season 3 subscription route is beyond me. I was kinda expecting the chance to pre-order again.

Nope. We're working on the PS3 build for episode 1 right now. I don't have an exact date but it's somewhere between soon and 2013. :p

Awesome hearing from you, Amy! Either way, I'll be picking it up on the PS3 as well. Keep up the great work!

I did pre-order, now I can download PC and Mac versions of the game. Will I be able to get the PS3 Version as well or do I have to pay extra money?

Did anyone else DL it today?

I know this game is scheduled to be released on Steam, but when?

I will happily buy the entire BTTF season as soon as it hits Steam, but I will not purchase directly from TTG.
  • edited December 2010
You do know that if you don't purchase from Telltale you wont get the DVD at the end? Because we get a LOT of Steam users coming here asking why they don't get the DVD.
  • edited December 2010
Sometimes (like me) you live in a little place called Britain and so need to order from Steam, which is a pain for when we would gladly order for the DVD.

I'd much rather get the game tbh, I like the odd thing but you know a game's a game. Steam's just what I use, you use that but whatever. :D

Does anyone know when the iPad version is due for release?

    Thanks!
  • edited December 2010
I believe it'll be out at the end as a whole series
  • edited December 2010
    Don't believe Trekkie.

It'll come out episode by episode, starting in 2011.

ok, i already know im gonna get slammed for asking this, but damn i search and search the forums and cant find jack on this subject other then buried posts of "its coming". I guess im hoping one the team will read this and give us some kind of real update. Im really holding out on buyin this on my Macbook so i can play it on my ipad, but with MI, S&M, and W&G all completed, (and by the way, were are the other eps of those???) its getting harder to wait.

You'd be better off buying it for mac. You'd get it a lot sooner, plus Telltale only released, like, one episode from every series on ipad so far. With Mac, you're guarenteed to get it the soonest, if at all.

i really love playing the series' on my iPad. but im starting to agree with you. Had a blast playing PA on there too.
  • edited January 2011
I'm really looking forward to the release of BTTF on the iPad too. Tales episode 1 and Puzzle Agent both play great on the iPad -- in fact it's my favorite platform for Telltale games. I'm hoping to hear about Tales episode 2 soon as well...

Get the PC/Mac version. If your computer isn't good enough, then wait for the PS3 version. I strongly discourage getting the iPad version, just because there's no guarantee you'll actually get the whole series on there. As far as I can tell, Telltale's given up on finishing The Devil's Playhouse and Wallace and Gromit for the iPad. (I'll reserve judgment on Tales of Monkey Island just because the iPad version of Episode 1 still came out fairly recently and they've promised the rest are coming.) I don't think there's much reason to assume BttF will be different, though if it is I'll gladly admit I was wrong.

The entire season of Back to the Future WILL be hitting the iPad.

Oh. Well that's good to hear. :)

I still recommend OP get the PC/Mac version if he can, though, just because it'll mean less waiting.

I do have a new MBP, but ive been holing out. something about being able to pull my pad out and play where ever, whenever... I loved Tales, S&M, and PA on my pad. love using the touch screen. in fact hoping that we see the next ep of tales soon while the 1st is still fresh in my mind. Good to see someone from the team drop by and let us know for sure it is coming. was just kind of hoping they could give us more of a time frame. not looking to nail you guys down on anything exact, but like "a few weeks" or "a few months" would make or break me just picking it up on my mac.

after 1 episode telltale stopped sam and max on the pad.

now we are waiting for bttf and are realizing that tell " tales " lets us ipad players probably down again. When the game comes ( when ..? ) will telltale
again give up after one episode .

Guys from tell : the ipad is the future so please go back to it

I didn't understand a single thing you said. But hopefully this answers your question.

I did understand him fine, don't be such... You know. :)

Telltale Games typically outsource their iPad etc versions of games. Also in case of translations, they outsource them too.

Not so! We lovingly craft every iPad version right here. We've got some very cool iPad stuff coming up! We believe it's the future as well, so stay tuned!
