  • It's a post-apocalyptic fiction world(as far as I know though, could be wrong) of course it's going to be unrealistic ;)

That's the problem. It's completely unrealistic and stupid. I think he just phrased it wrong, because the exact opposite is the actual problem.

  • Suspension of disbelief. I can accept that in a world where it's established that walking corpses can be killed with one hit, and where headshots never miss, a little girl would be able to do the same. I can not accept a group of adults being completely reliant on a litttle girl, to the point where she has to turn a key for them.

  • I hope s3 has the 250 developers people working on it. Think of how much power this game could have. A balance of comedic and horror writers. S1 and s2 did not have enough comedy, but I feel like s3 should have some comedic moments because Twd has a lot of comedy in it, even with the tragedies

Were you not just earlier complaining that Season 2 and other Telltale games after Season 1 had too many writers? More people working on something doesn't always make it better, and with Telltale's games being so basic and story focused, there is only so much you could do by having more people work on the game. Lots of people working on something does not automatically mean the graphics, art, music, gameplay, etc become better. Things like improved graphics would have to come from Telltale improving their engine, and that certainly would not require 250 people.

As for comedy, it works in small doses to humanize characters but I would not want extensive comedy in a game like Walking Dead.

  • NO MORE CLEMENTINE AS A PLAYABLE CHARACTER!!! im tired of her, lets face it! she is child!!! too defenseless, too young, too weak, with SOOO many limitations, without charisma!!! even if telltale skip time AGAIN!!! no matter how many years they give her, it will be all the same, she will still be a little child. I liked her in season 1 but even in there she fucked up everybody, (everyone its gonna hate me for this but.... its the thruth) did you all forget lee died because of her!!! i see a lot of discussions where everyone blames kenny for take the stranger´s supplies or ben for betray the group, but everyone is forgetting it was all clementines fault too, she sold lee and the group to the stranger and never mentioned anything, omid died because of her, the only reason i liked her in season 2 is because i felt pity for her because of lee´s death and i´m sure many think the same, nothing more, she sucks as primary character

The thread is sunk, not locked. Being sunk means you can still post and upvote, but new posts will not move this thread up to the top of the discussion list until I unsink this thread.

hopefully the writing this series is on equal with series 1.

  • I'm just trying to guess how Telltale would resolve the multiple ending problem without making the fans feel as if they've been had. If you have a better idea, I'd love to hear it.

  • Nope. 1. Clem alone, both Kenny and Jane dead. 2. Clem alone, Kenny alive, Jane dead. 3. Clem alone, Jane alive, Kenny dead. 4. Clem with Kenny, stays in Wellington. 5. Clem with Kenny leaves Wellington with Kenny. 6. Clem with Jane in Howes with no family. 7. Clem with Jane in Howes with the family. And this is excluding the variation of Bonnie dying by the lake earlier on.

  • You keep interpreting disagreement with something (or explanations behind disagreements) as personal attacks. I'm not insulting you by disagreeing with you, and you did nothing wrong in your earlier post where you said you wanted more people to work on the game. All I did was disagree with you and explain why.

... He's not ignoring your statement.

He's talking about how you were saying something completely different earlier that contradicts what you're saying now, then he went on about how it's not always a good idea to have that many people working on a relatively small scale game. He's not "pushing your buttons".

I'm only flagging your comments if they are off topic or if they break the forum guidelines. You can freely express how you don't like games like Minecraft in certain threads if it is on topic, but don't into threads where people are trying to have legitimate discussions about the game just to make fun of it.

As I said, you misinterpret my disagreement with you and/or me flagging your posts as a personal attack, but that is not the case. I'm sorry if you feel I am personally trying to be mean to you by flagging your posts, but beyond that, I don't know what else I can say to get the point across there are no hard feelings. I don't have anything against you personally - I am trying to keep threads on topic.

I want combat to be much more intense. Kinda like we saw from Rick when he went back out to confront the walkers after Carl got shot in the eye.

As for the a new Playable character, I'd like him to be around 40 yrs - 50 yrs old, perhaps having either some military or law enforcement experience. And considering we've played 3 black characters, Lee - Clementine - and now Michonne, I'd like the new character to be a white guy.

I'd also like for Kenny and Clementine to be a very intrical part of Season 3. To me, it just wouldn't be TWD without Kenny and Clementine.

One thing I'm really sick of is Telltale's throwaway characters. For veterans of the walking dead games, you know what I'm talking about!

If Clem isn't the playable character, I hope it's an Asian or something, just so I can see everyone getting mad over whites being under represented in videogames

  • remenber, this is the walking dead, it doesn't matter if you are a too young or too old, you are a living person, nobody is free of guilt, same in the tv series

  • Certain things still apply , even in the apocalypse.

  • Judith is free of guilt. Ron was free of guilt until Rick came along and killed his dad. Sam was free of guilt until he snapped. Almost every Alexandrian was or is free of guilt because they were so sheltered when everything went down.

This pseudo tough guy talk is irrelevant if you actually stop to think about what you're saying. And about your other points: The issue with Clem is not that she is too young and innocent. The complete opposite is the case. She is way too strong for an eleven year old, and adults only put so much faith into her because she's the PC. The way you describe her is the way it should be. Or at least, what adults should see in a little girl, even if it isn't entirely true.

TT tend to kill off characters soon after their fate is left up to the player. Please keep Kenny around for a long time.. Also Carver was one of the best villains, taking into consideration all of their games. A complicated antagonist would be nice again.

  • edited February 2016

This has probably been mentioned already but I am really curious to how it would even start.
You can't just not have Clementine in the game and ignore the endings to Season 2.
Most notably 4 endings have me concerned. (All with AJ)
    Alone,
    W/ Kenny outside Wellington,
    W/ Jane at Carver's and
    In Wellington.
This tells me that if Telltale wants to make a singular plot, Kenny and Jane are at risk, so is Wellington.
However, it would be ridiculous to ask Telltale to make 4 different Season 3s for each of the Season 2 endings (Although, Alone could easily be merged with in Wellington).
I hope they don't get lazy and merge the entire plot, but I also hope they don't over complicate S3 with so many plotlines.
    Just my thoughts.

  • yeah but the game is known for creating an intense emotional environment, I don't know if adding comedy would take away from the game or help it, but either way I don't know if that's a good idea.

I hope s3 has the 250 developers people working on it. Think of how much power this game could have. A balance of comedic and horror writers

  • Maybe Clementine shouldn't be a primary character in season 3 but I think it would be great to have her in the game at some point. Maybe run into her as a teenger by joining a group, something like that, I think would be great. I think being able to interact with multiple characters would be kewl. Kinda like Tales from the Borderlands was. I'm excited about what lies ahead regardless as I really enjoy Telltale's games.

  • I beg to differ. I love Clementine. In fact I'd like if they'd skip ahead and have her around 17 or 18 years old with some real developed survival skills and expertise with firearms and martial arts weaponry. As far your assessment that everything's Clementine's fault why not just blame the apocalypse itself on her while you're at it. Geeze give her a break. You don't like her and I get that, but I think many people would agree that they love her as a primary character and being so young she's one the series can get a lot of mileage out of not to mention endless possibilities.
