Oh I don't know. Maybe to stop murder?

  • Because fuck Kenny.

  • Kenny has said 10X more stupid shit so I guess I shouldn't save him either

  • Yeah, wtf? Jane is such a bitch and uncapable, so I did what she wanted, I stayed out of it.

  • Jane is dumber

    Because fuck Kenny.

  • Kenny vs Jane bait. I see you

  • Because I can.

  • Well do you think she thought Kenny was going to stab her?

    Thank you. I am humbled.

  • If you try to kill someone it's expectable that he tries to kill you instead.

Well do you think she thought Kenny was going to stab her?

  • i get that but I'm sure Jane was pretty confident in herself that she would kill him without a fight

  • Yeah, probably. It looked like Jane wasn't capable of thinking reasonably anymore, so it's hard to say.

  • Because the game gave me the chance to kill Kenny, my one true wish.

  • What are you talking about? Kenny tried to kill Jane first, she only retaliated when she was forced to fight for her life.

  • Nah, can't think of a reason.

  • Fuck Jane

  • To stop a rabid maniac from killing a decent survivor.

  • I have to keep it real here...... in my playthrough, Jane's own words sealed her own fate. By the end, I was so fed up with Kenny and Jane both that I just honestly didn't care who died. So I decided to let that shit play out on its own. If Jane got herself killed in a fight that she instigated in the first place, and that she herself told me not to get involved in, than tough titty. She deserved it.

  • A decent survivor's logic: "This rabid maniac is at his wits end and will flip out any second. Surely the best thing to do is to provoke him through pretending to lose AJ and getting into a death fight with him. I mean what can possibly go wrong?"

    .....errr, what?!

  • At the start she says to Clem to stay out of it, but while she is struggling she wil say "Clem...UGH....help!"

  • Then what about this?

She was out for Kenny's blood since aliens abducted her inbetween episodes 4 and 5 and did terrible things to her brain.

  • Don't try, just don't, if there was a scene of Jane savagely stabbing kenny while laughing, the peoples here would just deny it's existence.

  • Kinda like people denying Kenny's savagery throughout seasons 1 and 2?

  • Even smart person can make a mistake, but the point is showing that Kenny already lost his mind has been proven true, and it's a foolish choice to stay with him any longer.

  • I stayed out of it...

Jane died later because I listened to her... I'm a good girl

  • Yes, kinda. Many people demonize one of them while being blind about the other's wrongdoing.

  • This is so....

    uGH.

Kenny is like... 100x worse than Jane.

  • I like Jane I did not like Kenny it was that easy.

  • Honestly these threads...

Who do you like more, a psychopath or a sociopath?!

  • I think Jane says to stay out of it b/c she honestly thought she was going to win that fight and when she realized that she wasn't, she begs Clem to help her...she was arrogant and thought she was going to take down an enraged papa bear by herself

Now, I actually didn't mean to not save her- I actually wanted to go with Jane, but I couldn't betray Kenny like...and when I chose the option "look away", I thought that Clementine was still going to shoot, but just not look at whom she was shooting. I couldn't directly choose between the two in a life or death situation

  • i personally like the narcissistic sociopath, at least with her. I know she won't be serving me to my family for, Sunday Brunch.

And it's a foolish choice to stay with someone who left a defenseless baby to manipulate Clem.

Wow a crazy man is worse than someone who manipulates someone to kill his /her friend? How is that? Jane never made sacrifices like how Kenny did.

This is so.... uGH. Kenny is like... 100x worse than Jane.

  • No a sociopath isn't someone who would kill you, just manipulate, steal , lie, cheat their way to get whatever they want. Psychopath, well that is a whole new breed of animal.

As a eleven year old girl , she probably should have someone looking out for her. The world is a "dangerous" place.

I think I've seen maybe one Jane fan on these forums who seemed blind about Jane's wrongdoing. That member was rightly banned a number of times for his/her rude behavior. Most people who sided with Jane realize the baby hiding plan was a shit plan, and Jane admits it herself too. It was just like you said

aliens abducted her inbetween episodes 4 and 5 and did terrible things to her brain

Yup. The one truly horrible thing Jane does is this stupid plan to try to bait Kenny by hiding AJ (not kill AJ, mind you), and it's not even in character for her to do something so stupid in the first place when she should know that baiting Kenny won't end well. In addition, a detail a lot of people don't notice at first is that before Kenny can kill her, he had already plunged the knife into her chest once just a bit, producing that blood stain on her chest.

Jane was clearly under threat of death, with the knife already stabbed through her once, and yet, even after being semi-stabbed once, she--the most survival-minded character in the game--never said for her own self-preservation, "Wait, AJ's fine, in the car!" to stop the fight. Because, contrivances. Kenny on the other hand was perfectly in character that entire fight sequence. The writers felt the need to squeeze a manufactured conflict out of the ending, so they went with the Jane/Kenny fiasco. But in the process they warped Jane's character so it doesn't even make sense for her to do what she did.
