The story does support what we see in the game itself. Asher sent Mira a coin from Essos. We've seen that he hasn't really interacted with his family, but he seems to have affection for Mira of all his siblings (or so I'd guess)
I found out this fanart is based on a fanfiction where Mira is forced to marry Morgryn. It even goes into Mira and Asher's relatilnship, which I loved. It's called The Merchant's Mistress of Ironwood
So I got some markers today, and I decided to try out a different art style...
