  • Different versions of an entire S03 based on each S02 ending would be magnificent!! o-0

..but obviously the chances of that happening are slim to none. haha!; different versions of the first episode is something tangible. I think it should be that way too. using the first episode to tie everyone back again, and from episodes 2-5 the journey unfolds its course normally.

another way to solve this would be something like the intro of The Witcher 3. here:

The art could even be made by the official comic book artist, Charlie Adlard. so, for each S02 ending you would see a different cinematic and everyone would start at the same place from the beginning. saving an entire episode of this work. :D

  • Hm... cinematic opening would also work but it'd anger a lot of people as well. I've seen people complaining here that if Telltale will do something like that then it'll be a **** move from them. Besides, I don't think they're going to do something like what devs of Witcher did because Telltale likes to implement consequences of your choices (if they're one) into the gameplay. I don't see them as type of guys who would throw it all into different cinematic scenes opening for S3 so... yeah, I'm more willing to believe into different versions of the first episode theory.

Yeah, different versions of an entire S3 would be awesome and based on that this game would imediately win a Game of the Year award. Probably. It won't happen though. They'd have to create five or six different seasons, which means five or six games in one game. Hm... to be honest, no one ever pulled of something like that so it'd be the first time but... no, they aren't going to do this.

  • Take a joke guys. xD ;)

  • Even in the cinematic option the consequences of your choices would still totally apply, no reason to panic over it! :)

The Witcher is also a game where you make choices ( alot of them.. ) and face the consequences of it. and other cinematics like this appear in the course of your gameplay, varying according to the way you led the story. I don't think TT would screw up doing it that way. in fact, I think that would be pretty awesome. but.. yep, I can see your point aswell.

  • I know what you mean and I agree that it worked with Witcher games but it did only because Witcher games are like 40+ hours of gameplay so there is a lot of things to do so people won't mind cinematics like that. As far as I think it's a cool idea, I don't think it'd work as well for Telltale because they are creating 2 hours long episodes. In other words - by doing what you said, there would be probably a large group of fans who would consider it as lazy and cheap.

  • Clementine is finished in TWD, any fool could work that out. Besides it's better ending her as alive than killing her off right?

It was tame playing as a little girl anyway, as there is only so much they can allow.

A timeskip would be even worse. Also 14 is still pretty much a child.

If Clem is 14 in Season Three , that won't be a problem , will it?

  • She can't be older than 13, judging by the weather it's winter in the game, and Clem's birthday is in late October or early November. Which means she turned 11 only weeks before main Season 2 started (after the timeskip). The comics are only about one and a half to two years further than the game, and Telltale can't overtake the comics, so Clem would be 12, 13 at most.

If Clem is 14 in Season Three , that won't be a problem , will it?

  • She could be like Ellie from the Last of Us.

  • the walking dead season 2 was terrible, i hope after michonne, ends, season 3 wil be a better game and a better experience like season 1 was, i hope we dont play as clementine again! i like her character but lets face it! she is child!!! too helpless, too young, too weak, with SOOO many limitations, i dont know what was telltale thinking when they put clem as the playable character in a world where EVERYBODY (even weak adults) can take advantage of it

  • Too weak? Did you miss the part where she Bigby Wolf'd the door? Too helpless? Did you miss the part where she was the only one who knew how to turn a key in a wind turbine?

  • I think if someone did a model swap of season 2 Clem with Bigby Wolf from the end of Episode 3 with Bloody Mary and you'd get the writers view on how they wanted Clementine to be in season 2.

    1. I agree about the quick releases meaning less story changes mid season. I think that concept, while interesting, proved to provide more harm than good. From what I have seen in all the unused-and-cut-content threads, seasons would have been better had TellTale just stuck with their main story instead of switching things up due to fan service (I know TFTBL switched up its story, but that was for story purposes and not based on fan reactions).
    2. When did TellTale say they were stopping the 90 minute concept? I think that's great news but want to see it for myself. Let the story dictate the time.

Aren't we the optimist? :P Eh, jokes aside; I honestly don't think it will be bad for them. They've really sized up in the time that has

  • We will have the season 3 with italian subtitles?

  • They stopped 90 minute episodes for Tales, Thrones, and various Minecraft episodes. I assume it's going to carry forward from all the positive feedback people have given Telltale. Episodes nowadays are around 1 hour 45 minutes to 2 hours 15 minutes.

  • I think the ability of playing as a child adds a little more humor to the game as you can get Clementine to do/say things that you would otherwise not expect. I also think it is kind of humorous that everyone puts so much faith in Clementine. "Clementine, should we trust these people?" "Clementine, you go sneak over there and risk your life for that talkie." "Clementine, come with me, through the horde of zombies." Although, I would like the ability to choose our character. For example, at the beginning of season 3 we could meet some people in the story, say Bill, George, Silia. You can choose to be Clementine, Kenny, Jane, Bill, George, or Silia. Although, this is very unlikely to happen due to the amount of time this would take.

  • Helpless? Weak? The group wouldn't have survived if it wasn't for her. Even before she was the playable character she was a dang good shot, too. I couldn't save Molly when the zombie grabbed her but Clem was all "I got this" and blew his head off with ease.

  • Oh yeah, because zombies just want a little love that's all. That's why they go for the heart first in TWD.

  • Well, considering you are still Clem in season 3 (hope that's how it turns out), it would be our choice, however we decide to treat AJ. But, if it isn't our choice, I would say more of a big sister, Clem did say she's always wanted a sister, and a brother would be the next best thing right?

What relationship do you guys think Clem'll have with AJ? Will she act like a surrogate mother or a big sister?

  • edited February 2016

One possible way they could go about season 3 is having it unfold from Christa's perspective as she searches for Clementine. She could come across some ramshackle campsite where Clementine was holding up, and find a tape recorder. She could also notice a grave nearby, with a makeshift cross wedged in the ground. (If Clem was alone at the end of S2, there wouldn't be any grave at the campsite.) Depending on the ending from S2, the voice on the tape could be Kenny, Jane, Edith, or Clementine herself. The recording would then disclose what ultimately happened to whoever Clem chose to remain with:

KENNY. Shot in the leg by a bandit. The wound turned gangrenous, and Kenny recorded a final message for Clem before shooting himself in the head.

JANE. Bit by a zombie. Like Kenny, she leaves one last message for Clem before taking her own life.

EDITH. Succumbs to depression and post-apocalyptic trauma (Wellington fell to either zombies or bandits sometime between seasons). She records a message for Clem apologizing for her decision to take the easy way out.

CLEMENTINE. Leaves a final journal entry informing the PC what happened to AJ and herself after she left Kenny/Jane behind. She mentions something about "hitting the road again," but doesn't disclose where she's heading.

  • Season 3 new dynamics

    1. New, upgraded fighting system. It seems like telltale is finally starting to have interesting, fun combat sequences. I really am getting sick of just pressing buttons to trigger events, I want to be able to think I really am fighting zombies.
    2. being able to have multiple storylines and protagonists, I want to be able to have multiple storylines and choose how you want to play it out.
    3. new characters, with recurring themes. In s2, we had too many stupid recurring themes and the only thing that was new about s2 was the ending. What if season 3 is the polar opposite of s1 and 2. What if the Kenny like character dies and the lily like character survives. How awesome would it be if s3 has old and new elements
