If there is an appropriate response the game provides for the choices decided to AJ for the proper skills necessary to survive, could that t… morehen extent to giving him improper training and maybe a similarly responsive result to said choice?
Keep in mind the intentions of a player may not always be in the best interest of a character we may or may not be talking about.
His inclusion in the narrative fold just feels off to me. At least as far as No Going Back is concerned, AJ was an awfully artificial piece of emotional weight that tried to gauge some kind of knee-jerk reaction similar to being prodded.
It's only a teasor man and not the real trailer. Also mistakes?? Like what?? Also this game comes out next month, so what r u even taking about?? (Refering to the "good old days"). And idk about you but I am really hyped for the game only by the teasor.
Ok so I decided to watch the S3 trailer and...
...I felt no hype, I saw some mistakes too... sign I miss the old days of Telltale when they made good games...
Mostly I have no interest in Javier as a playable character. I was fairly nonplussed about him when the original announcement came out and with each successive announcement I come away less and less eager to play this. I understand if other people look forward to a new protagonist but I don't. I don't want to get to know Javier, I don't care one damn iota about him or his family, his struggles or what horrors he has faced in this world.
Telltale did a great job getting me attached to Clementine, and I want to continue her story, not see her become some background player to Javier. What began as indifference towards him has morphed into a severe dislike. I understand that that is not a fair way to treat this character but at the end of the day I am the consumer and I am not pleased at all to have another character supplant Clem as protagonist. I started this journey with her. and I do not care to have to share time with someone I dont know or have any feelings towards.
As well when I consider how Telltale tells their stories I don't see Clem getting a fair shake from them at all. Her story feels like it will become a secondary piece of fan service while the new protagonist gets all the love and Clem gets tossed bones and stupid mini games that will not have half of the craft that Javier gets. These episodes will be 90 minutes to 2 hours long. If Javier is to be given the time needed to establish him as a protagonist we will only get 20 to 30 minutes of Clem for the first few episodes. That is just not enough for me, if its enough for someone thats nice for them. But it sucks for me.
I consider myself to be a very big fan of the first 2 games, Ive been playing since the beginning, and now I feel like not only is Clem getting pushed out but so am I.
I don't think so bro, if you've read the comics then you know how he acts like a teen asshole nowadays. So it'd be better if they don't meet. But maybe Jesus, michonne or negan
What you saw wasn't a trailer but a Alpha build teaser that they released at E3, you can't really judge how good the game will be based on a 20 second teaser so i think it will be better to see an actual trailer or gameplay before writing the game off.
Ok so I decided to watch the S3 trailer and...

I said that I'm keeping an open mind towards the season. That doesn't mean that I have to agree with every decision that Telltale makes. I'm not saying that the game is going to be bad, I don't believe that. I'm just saying that I don't enjoy some of the details of the season that they've shared with us so far.
So much fuss over a title and shared story, seriously though, why don't we all give the game a chance before resorting to judgement - we hav… moreen't even seen a second of the game and we're all deciding that we don't like or like where the course of the Season is going.
You never know, it might surprise you. So I suggest that if you buy the game, approach it with an open mind.
And it is confirmed that Clem isn't a background character, you will be playing as her too. That itself just show that she is just as important as Javier, because there will still be focus on her. And maybe some episodes focuses more on Clem than Javier, just like how Telltale did in Tales from the Borderlands.

I reserve the right to change my mind and go all fanboy if it works.
But if I'm honest, I don't trust TTG to do right by their characters or stories anymore.
To me I dont see them having a good balance between Clem and Javier. The more they talk the more it seems they want to push Clem out in favor of a male adult protagonist which appeals to a wider audience.
I'll give it a fair shake when it drops, but I won't blindly buy the season pass, nor will I give TTG the benifit of the doubt.

Can we change the title of the thread to more accurately reflect the new info? It's not much, but Job did reveal that we'd be playing Javi at the start of the apocalypse as well, whereas we already knew Clem's flashbacks and Javi-in-the-present-day would be playable.
Did you even read my comment? I exactly said this "Sure, you could have him be the center of the story like you seem to be planning to, but my focus and care is always going to be on Clementine." So they can develop Javier as a character and make me care about him which is fantastic. But what I'm saying is that it doesn't even matter if I DO a lot care about Javier after I play the episodes/game as a whole, I'm always going to care about Clementine more because she's been around for basically the ENTIRE Main Series.
No shit you don't care about Javier. You don't even know his motivation, character, personality. You literally know fuck all like the rest of us. You can make your judgement when you've actually seen/played the episode like once again the rest of us.
Ok so I decided to watch the S3 trailer and...

There are no more conventions this year that i am aware of, there is the game awards in December which will likely have either Marvel news or another announcement. The next Walking Dead news will likely come direct from Telltale themselves via Twitter or other social media.

After the mess the final season ended up being, specifically No Going Back, I'm a slight bit nervous A New Frontier will end up being just as confused and sloppy as season 2 was toward the later half. Especially with all the thematic elements TellTale are attempting to juggle at once.

...Why again do you want AJ to die? I mean i get not particularly caring about the baby (i dont) but I dont get the desire to see it die.

Me 2. Negan's a Badass muthafucka.

Its a sucky feeling and its only getting worse.
It's almost an honour
Ur dedication touches my heart. Also Clem doesn't loses that finger. Not on my watch.

While I respect your opinion,I am really curious to know about the mistakes that you mentioned.Would you mind sharing them?
They did make clem seem to care way to much about him very quickly but I'm open to the idea the character could grow on me, even if it is just a baby

Aw thank you! I am very dedicated to Clementine, and I always will be!

Went ahead and updated the title, and added video/bullet-points to the OP. Figure that it's worthwhile enough to add.

This might hype you!
I wonder what next comic con they're going to be guests in.
Stop trying to sound edgy.
Be sure to answer this poll if you haven't already!
So um...anyone thinks Christa will appear in the next season? >.>

Hell yes ;.; hell yes.
Let's just hope that's soon.
But he's speaking truth.
I hope so, they have already took Omid away from me.
When do you guys think that news of a release date will come out?
But there is no need to be overly aggressive towards someone.
If it releases the 15th of November, then the trailer will likely release the 11th.
What day(s) is it that they usually release episodes on?
US releases games on Tuesdays. UK releases them on Fridays.
Alright, thanks.
Come on, there's no need for that, let's just all be friends here
We can all hold hands and skip through the meadows in the sunset together
I wonder why Telltale is being so secretive with "A New Frontier." There must be something that they don't want us to know until we play the game.
Skeptical.
