Did you kill them? (Spolier Warning, Beware!)

  • I killed Badger till dead and no more. I had no idea you could kill him quickly, probably would have chose that. With Max, I spared his life. I'm not a real fan of this guy, but he could be an ally and I was willing take the risk. It pays off, kinda, but not really.

  • I killed both. Lucille'd Badger's skull because he is a grade A prick. And then shot Max because it seemed like he was only trying to save his own skin and because he was still responsible for several innocents dying (I know he does come clean if he is left alive, but even so, it was too big a risk to let him live)

  • I killed Badger by smashing his head in & I decided to spare Max.

  • I killed Badger with my Lucille, but spared Max.

  • Hold on to that hate cus that what makes U humen

  • Let Badger turn, spared Max.

  • Same as OP.

  • I spared max since I like him.

  • If you didn't kill Conrad and kept the gun you can just shoot him in the head

Apparently you could kill Badger quick somehow, which I would have preferred, but I never found the option, it seems the option wasnt very clear, since only 4.5% of people killed him quickly, or people are just very vengeful

  • Max pretended to talk to David and then pulled a gun and shot at him. I dont see any way you can trust a guy like that. Max was slimy as fuck and also responsible for the raids.

  • I didn't really "trust" him; I just thought he could help everything with Joan. Though he did try to stop Badger with the whole Prescott thing, but he could've done actions instead of talking. Like maybe taking the gun out of Badger's hands. Or ordering the people to not kill Francine.

  • I beat Badger in the head three times, just until his skull broke—gore which, by the way, made my stomach twist—and then left him there.

I took Max with us. Soon after I learned of the outcome of that, I was pleased with this decision, because it appeared to have been the first step toward ceasing future raids on communities. But then Javier and David were locked up; a massive step-back, now that I think about it.

  • Always played this game as if it was actually me in that situation, killed them both. If some asshole killed a family member of mine they would sure as hell suffer for it! Obviously a zombie apocalypse would bring out the demon in me!

  • Agreed. I feel like Conrad fully redeemed himself in that moment. A lot of character development in such a small determinant scene

Let Conrad kill him figured I owed him that much.

  • I left Badger there, but does Tripp finish him off if you don't say anything? I wasn't about to beat a dude's head in, even though he was a giant ass.

Max seems like a wise investment for now. I treated him pretty well, and in the final act he actually seemed to appreciate it somewhat. Here's hoping it still pays off a little.

  • @leafs_nation, yup. If you do nothing, Tripp just stabs him in the neck, killing Badger.

Spared Max because he could get us back into Richmond, and plus he had some humanity left in him. Bashed Badger's skull in though.

  • Killed Badger, only hit him once after the initial kill shot.

Conrad is dead in my playthrough, and Max tattled on me when I first met with Joan. He was a goner as soon as the prompt came up...

  • I killed them both. That's the thing I would have done in the real world if they have killed somebody I loved.
Loved in the context of family love.

  • I bashed Badger's brains, I couldn't stop mashing Q I was literally screaming at him while spamming the Q button, mostly because how he responded to Max when he told him he shouldn't have shot Mari: "Fuck it, I'd do that little bitch again just to see her head pop", and when confronted about it he says "Fuck her...and fuck you too".

I was mad at Max because of how he just opened fire on us, then cowardly begged for me to spare him so I executed him, of course I played the game again just to see how it would play out if I didn't and I'm glad I killed him because the ending where you get knocked out is just lame, I'd rather go out guns blazing

Yes. When David gives you weapons and the map after you're kicked out with Conrad alive, you also get a gun that you can either keep (Conrad dies) or give to Conrad (Conrad lives).

But how exactly do you even have a gun? everything was taken upon entering Richmond, is having the gun in the first place determined by Conrad being alive?

    Me to Badger.

  • Yeah, I popped their heads, alright.

  • I caved badgers skull in but regretted it. And I spared Max because while he's a huge dick, he seems like a cool dude deep down.

I killed Badger with the bat and kept Max alive as i thought he could be useful at the time.

  • Killed Badger with my mindblowing baseball technique. ehhehe get it?
Spared Max because he's nice when compared to Badger, and i feel like Max is a cool guy.

I introduced my "Kate" to Badger and hoo boy... my girl is now dirty!

As for Max I threatened him to spill the beans in the warehouse before shooting him. NO EXCEPTIONS! YOU SHUT THAT SHIT DOWN!

(Of course, Jesus made me feel a little guilty for how I was. He's certainly living up to his name.)

  • I did both since I played 2 times

  • I killed badger until he had no skull left, I spared max as I thought he could help tell the people at Richmond about what they had been doing and he did help.

  • I let Conrad kill Badger and kept Max alive.

  • Killed Badger, let Max live.

  • Hit Badger twice, but figured it was taking too long and others might need my help, so after that I let the timer out and left him. In the choices screen it counted as killing Badger quickly.

I actually liked Max a bit, but I stayed silent when deciding his fate. Figured it wasn't my call to make, since he was one of the David's guys. David ended up executing him.

  • Eh, did you miss the moment where Max tried to shoot you in the garage? And the stuff he talked about before? He really hasn't any humanity left, he is just a coward that fears for his life.

I let Badger turn and kept Max alive. I figured that turning into a walker was a far worse punishment and fate, and I kept Max alive so that I could use him to expose Joan, and while it didn't seem to really matter in the end, I'm glad I did because apparently, if Max dies, Lonnie ends up accusing David as the one who ordered the raids, and correct me if I'm wrong, but the other leaders never find out that it was all Joan.

  • Naw, Max is definitely has some decency about him, even if his thuggish exterior makes it not so relevant at times. There are a number of moments where he shows reservations about the more extreme things Badger does and it's implied that he specifically ordered Rufus not to hurt Javier and take him to Richmond instead. It's also pretty clear that he went along with the raids primarily because Joan convinced him it was necessary benefited Richmond and he has a silent moment with David outside the hospital that makes it clear he really does want to make things right.
