I don't particularly care either, but I dunno... it doesn't really seem like it's 'bad' enough to be sitting at a 69. Then again, I suppose you could consider it a good thing. Gives Telltale some incentive to change things up and all that.
Its not that bad really, the user reviews appear to be due to 6 instant negative reviews *(there is no explanation)
Also the critic revie… morews are all positive, the lowest being 40. Main complaint is it just the formula of telltale is a bit old now.
I dont care about reviews anyway
closed it after 40 mins because i was yawning so hard
a 4.7/10 on metacritic pretty much confirms no one gives a damn about TWD game without Clem.
NoClemNoBuy
This has a 69 on Metacritic
I'm having a tough time understanding how it's that low
I mean, I'm not gonna say the episode was perfect,… more but hell, it's getting the lowest score of any episode of the game so far. Even good old Amid The Ruins -- arguably one of the weakest episodes of the series, both critically and from a writing standpoint -- is getting a higher score than it
There's one thing I found amusing. The Gamespot review gave a 6/10, yet there were no negatives by the score. Of course, they've since added a slight negative point.
I really don't get the formula complaints though. Do people often complain about having to read books or watch movies? I look at them as interactive movies. If they're complaining about characters being side-lined after saving them, I can sort of understand it, but at the same time it's at least partly because it's an interactive story. Keeping the characters around means more content. At least it must be a consideration anyway, from a production standpoint.
If they mean in terms of story though, I really wonder what they're smoking, though of course Walking Dead games will be quite similar to each other in terms of feel and the themes explored.

I was surprised to see the hugely negative critic reviews.
I had episode one being a 8/10.
It had sort of a weird ending...I guess you can assume some shit is going down but I felt like it wasn't as emotional/impactful like they wanted it to be. I think that is one of TTG problems now is with building to those emotional moments. The VA's did their job but I was just kinda matter a fact about it which is sad because I think that could have been a more telling scene. Take for example the opening where Michonne has that choice. I feel like that could have been a great set up to foreshadowing the end....but hey lets see how the story unfolds.
Though, the flashbacks and Michonne seeing her kids and all that shit. I know one scene in particular made me jump and I like the little changes they made in the style. I really like it so far but I can see why some don't like it. You literally are getting a story/game about a character that doesn't really need it. Almost, the same way how Minecraft got a "Story Mode" and people weren't for that either.
I'm actually really excited about this episode, though yeah, I did find myself screaming at the end going, "IS THAT IT?!" That asides though, I loved it. The soundtrack is already great, the QTEs are smoother, as well as the camera transitions, and the voice acting is awesome too (Samira Wiley as Michonne is a perfect fit, in my opinion). I can't wait for the next ep to roll around now!

3/5. Pretty slow start imo with Michonne killing a bunch of walkers and hallucinating and shit. Started picking up later on though. It was pretty good all things considered. Looking foward to next episode.
Now that I've played it, only issue I've had with it really is it felt rather sluggish despite my laptop passing the recommended specs according to system req labs, and being able to run things like The Witcher 2, Rome 2, DA:I. First time I've noticed sluggishness in a game from telltale anyway, or at least as far as I remember. Or well, enough so that it bothers me.
The writing and story were good, however, which is what's important. The dialog felt quite tense.
But yeah, I don't understand the low score either.

The episode starts of great, I've seen more action in the first 5 minutes of this than all the WD seasons put together.
The characters are interesting and TT nailed it again with the awesome music.
So after a rough 30 minutes of adrenalin induced awesomness the episode ends, just like that, prematurely.
I dont know how you guys felt about 400 Days, I though it was bad but after playing Michonne EP1 I see 400 Days slightly better, and thats not saying much.
Way too much lack of content.
I ve just finished episode 1. Without spoiling anything I´ll just say that this game is even more amazing than I tought. It surpassed my wildest dreams. I allready like it more than TWDG S1 and 2. 10/10 I ´ll just say "god that amazing intro".
I honestly loved it, and to me just underlined why Clem shouldn't be the protagonist for season 3. Simply fantastic though, really wanted it to keep going.
Honest review 3/10

Dissapointing really. Graphics are updated, nice intro sequence, but the story and the characters just aren't that interesting. I didn't feel any shock or supense when certain events happened, if a character died, I was like oh, oh well. So,, 5/10 I guess. average.
It was alright, I liked it, especially because I get to use all the new models and stuff. Worse part was freaking out cause I didn't want Zach to die, but it turned out good.
Awesome intro, really liked how they mixed it in with the comic. It just feels so good to be back in the TWD world again even if it's with all new characters (In-game). Other than what I read online, this is my first introduction to the Michonne character and I'm really starting to dig her. I was expecting her to be all serious and mopey but I'm relieved that it isn't her entire character.
As far as side characters go, my favorite definitely has to be Pete, he cares a lot about others, even though that also seems to be his biggest flaw so far. He's also a perfect counter to Michonne's grim outlook, they just have an awesome chemistry. The rest of the crew were decent and likable despite the little time we had with them, for everyone else I can't say the same.
The episode as a whole I have to say it was a pretty good experience!
I thought that this episode is good! Not perfect and great, but I still got a lot of enjoyment out of it. First, I have to say that I like the animation better. It just feels much more fluid and seeing The Walking Dead animation again is a welcomed nostalgia. Excellent voice acting and I love Telltale's great taste in music, I am going to listen to "Wolf" by First Aid Kit for a long time. The story is okay to me, it didn't felt as captivating. But I do find myself liking the characters. I actually like Sam, partly because her voice actress did a great job.
So yeah, I am looking forward to Episode 2 that hopefully come out soon thanks to the tighter schedule.

8/10
Great episode, refreshing definitely. some of the walker kills had me like "holy shit!" TTG QTEs improved a ton. a bit short, but nonetheless a good series opener.

The average rating from the fifteen gaming sources that @freelancepolicefan11 mentioned on
the Michonne Miniseries Waiting Thread is 7.16/10, which is still pretty good.
I don't know why you are talking like everyone hated it.
69 for "In Too Deep" on Metacritic? It must be a joke.

"replace michonne with clem in this game, how is that more fun?" yup that is such a good argument, reason i'm not even gonna bother
This is a miniseries on one of the TWD characters.
I don't see how people find that hard to understand.

Can you please bother making a better excuse?
YEA ITS GOOD

10/10 Went to the fridge to get a sandwich episode was over.
Holy shit man! Can your computer magically perform QTE? I wish I had that kind of computer!

It's called sarcasm, look it up
Oh wait guys ur right, this IS a great game, just had to set my expectations on low settings
Okay dude
Woah! This is a Spoiler free review!

Now excuse me, I am off listening to Wolf.
Just finished it and for once I actually find myself agreeing with IGN and their review.
7/10 seems fair. Good, but not great. I enjoyed it, but wasn't blown away by it. I expected it to be decent -- and it was, but nothing more.
Either way, I look forward to the others.
Its really not. Its an inaccurate or bad simile at most
