I'm actually suprised how far I've gotten in this game.
I'm usually TERRIBLE at adventure games. I can't even beat a Sam and Max episode without looking at a walkthrough! XD
From the article:
"So this evil villain in the new Batman movie is named Bane. And there's discussion out there as to whether or not this was purposeful and whether or not it will influence voters. It's going to have a lot of people," he continued. "The audience is going to be huge. A lot of people are going to see the movie. And it's a lot of braindead people, entertainment, the pop culture crowd, and they're going to hear Bane in the movie and they're going to associate Bain.
"And the thought is that when they're going to start paying attention to the campaign later in the year," Limbaugh asserted, "and Obama and the Democrats keep talking about Bain, not Bain Capitol but Romney and Bain, that these people will start thinking back to the Batman movies - 'Oh yeah, I know who that is!'"
He then read from a Washington Times editorial that made the connection between Romney and Batman, as well.
I'm at the airport in Lima right now. Was just offered $350 cash (plus my hotel and expenses covered) to bump myself onto a flight at the same time tomorrow instead of today. Baaaahh can't afford the leave!! Would have been great, I could've gone to see the Nazca lines (which I very much wanted to do). Ah well. A little more of the world remains unexplored for now.
I'm quite proud to say that I just uninstalled a crapload of games of my laptop.
About 50gbs worth!
I managed to cut my Steam list to about 36 games, and my GOG list to about 46 games, and my Non-Steam or GOG PC games to about 30 as well (though of those I only plan to seriously play about 18 of them).
Sure it sounds like I have loads of games on my lappy. But trust me, it was FAR, FAR Worse! XD
A lot of the games I didn't really play I removed.
Now I have 80gb+ left.
(Still need to do more hard drive cleaning though)
EDIT: Applied to another placement. Might stand a fair chance on this one. Its only had about 5 applicants, and its for a charity. (And the application window is closing very soon)
The pay isn't very good, BUT, the freedom and responsibility is very good. The sort of thing I want in a job.
I think its a good match for me. I like making kids happy, I'm very independant, I'm a bit scrappy, but I get on with people well, and I have a good heart.
(I also threw in there a bit about how I help to look after my little bro, who has Autism)
I'd love to do creative little events and stuff for kids. I'm quite creative, so I think I might be able to pull of something great there.
Only problem is transport. Can't drive, though the application says that is "prefers" drivers, so I expect they know most people won't be able to drive.
I did, in the covering letter, show awareness to that fact, and since its in the same area as the University, I put down about how I commute there, an approximation of how long it takes, but also a statement, to say that I would be willing to seek temporary accomodation, and try to get lifts from my parents if necessary.
(I know they would make the time to support me. They have to! (Though I'd have to pay them...))
I wanted to be honest. To admit that I would likely be a bit late for a 9.00am start. But I wanted them to know that I have heart. That I would be committed.
I also talked about my arcade machine. Threw in some of the technical stuff, so that they know I'm very affluent with computers. Moreso than average. Plus I think it would be an interesting thing to read, and they may want me to talk about that in the interview.
(Then I can tell them, why I got it (That I wanted to bring a proper arcade experience home for myself and my family. Since South End is pretty much dead now. And that my little brothers loves it, and plays it all the time))

SHEER IDIOCY
Anyone who takes Rush Limbaugh seriously or his statements as fact are all idiots. Seriously.
I want to get the old toys out of the loft so bad and play with them!
(And the lego. All these kids collecting the minifigs at work, just make me want to get my old stuff out and make crap!)
Sometimes I think I might be regressing. (Is it possible to have a midlife crisis at 21?)
So Vainamoinen locked the 'What is your favorite comedy movie?' thread, due to it being created by a spam bot (a fact that completely flew over the heads of myself and everybody else who replied). This bears the question as to what the purpose of the spam thread was?
I always been under the impression that the purpose of a spam bot is to advertise a product or website, via a thinly disguised topical post. What exactly the frak was this particular spam bot advertising?! The closest answer I can come to is 'The Pink Panther'. However, I would have to assume this was in reference to the more recent (and god awful) Steve Martin version (or it's equally bad sequel). I seriously doubt that anybody reading the spam bot's post didn't immediately come to the conclusion that the Peter Sellers version was the film being referenced.
I've come to the conclusion that this is either the worst spam bot ever (for failing to properly explain which product it was trying to advertise), or the most devious and genius spam bot of all time (due to it fooling a good number of forumites).

Some spambots also try to crate "legitimacy" and "presence" for themselves before advertising. Such as the bot that asked our favorite flavors of ice cream back in 2011.

For the most part, I'd have to answer "I honestly don't know". The spambot weirdness in this forum has far exceeded what I would have expected before I started moderating. The usual spambot doesn't even advertise by his post, but by his signature. We kill those fast, because the identification isn't difficult. Then there's varying degrees of "intelligent" spambots; and possibly even human-assisted spambottery (like, a quarter brain for rent).
For the most part, we go by mere hints. In this case:
the user had just one post
weird appearance, spelling and grammar mistakes, odd formatting choices
the post had a spam signature which Guru deleted
Puzzlebox had just deleted ANOTHER spambot thread asking "what are your favorite movies"
That was more than enough for me.
We once had a thread where at least three different spambots were communicating with each other. I'm rather convinced it was that, while other mods thought it was just a former community member trolling an old friend visiting.
On the whole, I don't even think bot programmers could honestly think their advertising scheme works. I'd rather believe they're using us for a 20-year long beta test as willing subjects.

"Muhahaha... 'building a presence', indeed! Little do the mods know that I had already succeeded in my devious plan to use their forum to advertise and to conduct vital market research."

HEY GUYS I QUOTED AND RESPONDED TO THE WRONG POST OOPS.
You should get a form recovery add-on like Lazarus: Form Recovery for Firefox. That's what I use.
...or you could make sure you always Ctrl+A, Ctrl+C before you post.

Thats it! No more games for me!
If I mention anything about buying PC games, or if I say I'm bored, remind me of these lists. REEEEMIIIIIINNNNDDDD MEEEEE!!!!

What. That's for Train Simulator 2012, isn't it?
I... what? Did this guy even check to see that Bane has been a regular Batman character years before this movie was even thought of?
Trains vs. Zombies DLC. For Train simulator of course.:D
Very funny.
That's fine, but I refuse to put up with complaints about the government from people who don't even bother with a basic act of civil duty.
So you know that South Park episode? Because it is very funny.:D

If you only plan to live to 42, then sure!
