Well if we were going to get it, we won't now and this will get chopped.
  • edited August 2010
Maybe we'll learn that it comes out tomorrow...

    Maybe...

It's been so long since we've heard anything. Whatever it is, it's gotta be a lot better than nothing.
  • edited August 2010
Whatever it is, I hope it's posted within the next couple of hours. I don't want to have to wait until the morning to see what it is. I'm impatient enough now!
  • edited August 2010
Well, it's past monday here. And past midday in TTG hours monday.

    *Is impatient*

I love living in California. It's still business hours for both Telltale and me!

Oh, War! What is it good for?
    It strengthens the economy!

I was under the impression that it normally had the opposite effect.

I'm starting to think that Jake got sick or something, as i would think that it would be up here by now. Plus, I haven't seen him on the forums today either.

If it's in YOUR country or you're participating (US in Iraq), sure. If not, then it's what it says in the song.
Weapon industry is heavy in the US and ex-USSR, they make quite a buck from delivering supplies to warzones.

    Or he's really busy.
  • edited August 2010
I want to see the game come out before I head up to college, so I can play through the series without distractions.
  • edited August 2010
C'mon c'mon c'mon! I spent 8 hours at work PINING for what could possibly be posted and it's not up yet? :C
  • edited August 2010
Jake's on the forums guys! Maybe we'll get our surprise now!
  • edited August 2010
    Ohjoyohjoyohjoy!

Everyone, quick, hide behind the furniture and turn off the lights!
  • edited August 2010
I always do that already... :p
  • edited August 2010
Maybe he's waiting for us to deserve it, ie stop going off-topic.

And now, I shall ask a legitimate question about the episode to bring us back to on-topic status. AHEM.

    IZ SAL A LIFE?

Will Sam find true love (possibly with himself in a very embarrassing situation)?
  • edited August 2010
We can all cool it with the questions. He's gone.

I blame the lights mysteriously turning off while he was pulling into the driveway.
  • edited August 2010
But I thought Jake had night vision!
  • edited August 2010
    But wait, he's back on!

I have this strange feeling that he's gonna start signing on and off just to mess with us. xD

Hey here's a thing. Not a screenshot, but a speaker...sound. I think that's what you call an audio clip from a game. Anyway, this is some music, maybe not randomly chosen, but close to. I suspect that it will tell you nothing about the game, but hope it makes you try.
  • edited August 2010
    Oh, it will!

Sounds really cool regardless. I'm formulating theories about it as I type.
  • edited August 2010
Maybe it plays in that location he posted concept art of a few weeks ago? Seems fitting.
  • edited August 2010
It might, but the question to the nature of the place still remains. If those "inside Maxthulhu" theories are correct, I feel the piece would be fitting. It might also work for the dark dimension, or some other place of that sort.

Beginning and ending combined, it sounds like it's from some strange world/place, where things switch about fast and randomly with flashbacky sounds (if anyone ever played Deus Ex: Invisible War think JC's lair, travelling back to locations of Deus Ex 1). Maxy!

Bossfight where the world changes around you as you puzzle, changing the music to reflect that location you're currently in as you try to puzzle your way out of the mess you gotten yourself into?

    [/totally wild speculation on music]

    Oh my god.

This music.. plus that concept art...

THE DARK DIMENSION IS THE '80s!
  • edited August 2010
    Hahaha, that would be perfect!

And for those who don't, I .rarred the 3 music files in question and uploaded them... the OST was released so it's legal.
For the few who actually follow the link, doesn't this have the same kind of spooky disfigured atmosphere as Jake's posted songfragment?

That audio clip was encoded in Itunes - so Apple truly are the devil?
  • edited August 2010
At the end of the clip, it sounds kind of like radio-station changing..noise..thing. Feedback is what it's called?

That's what I thought it was, someone fiddling with a radio dial.

Yeah we're gonna quit with the karaoke now. At least I am. No word on Highway over there.

    Oh, war!....

Yeah, that was getting old fast. Plus, it would get very annoying for people who want to see serious stuff.

Also, that music clip is for the win.

The first part of the music sounds like Sam is outside a room playing loud music, and he can hear it, but muffled, through the walls. Maybe. The second part sounded to me like it was on a record player with the way it finished.
[My speculation theory] Perhaps it was a two sided disc, one side had a secret message and the other side had a song and Sam played the wrong side first. [/My speculation theory]
