Put me down for the 13th.

I'm hoping that at the end of the trailer tonight/tomorrow, it just says "Available Now" and suddenly, it will be playable.

    That. Would. Be. Epic.

I've decided to make that my Christmas Wish.

That's a positive thing, roycejunktion. In any other case, our dear release date guessing game would be over instantly. :D
  • edited December 2010
I don't know if it will be released for PC the same day as for PS3. If it will be released the same day I think it'll be on the 21st, since the PSN store updates on tuesdays in the US, I think.

Well I want the first episode ASAP but no need too rush Telltale, just focus on making this awesome.
  • edited December 2010
    I guess you're shocked then ;)
  • edited December 2010
He meant it literally. Someone threatened to taze him if there wasn't a release date.

    Poor, poor Spykes.

    I was!

Bluurgh... it's probably the 27th or some faraway day. I hope not, though.
  • edited December 2010
My guess would on the 16th, give or take a day. It ain't gonna be next week, and I would guess that they would aim to get it done before christmas.

True before christmas is usually a good idea(curse you nintendo for releasing the 3ds in march) but stilll I dont know on that.

I suspect around a week or just over... Definitely before Christmas - releasing it after Christmas implies they kept working on it instead of holidaying and partying ;)

Plus, I noticed in my games list - I've been allocated my serial for the game, so it should be available pretty soon.
  • edited December 2010
That's weird. It's not even on my game list yet.
  • edited December 2010
    I suspect after X-Mas actually.

So if there *are* issues, not everyone is out partying and not working and all...
  • edited December 2010
Actually, as we all should know, they've already released the release date but as things didn't turn out this fine in the future, i won't go into the details - this could be dangerous - , they jumped back in time and tried to remove the incidence from the time stream and therefore most of us don't know about it yet, again.
  • edited December 2010
They're going to release a press release that states a release date for the release date. (From an insider) Whisper it...

I tell ya Guys,.. I think it's very unprofessional of Telltale to not even give us a release date, I mean it's just like a big Question Mark for every bit of info we get on this. they said December..okay 2010..okay but how about a Day? we waited long for info, Screenshots, a Trailer and now what? Lol it's crazy..I'm sorry but what's the next suprise?? is the game only going to me exclusive to Iphone? or is it going to be Cancelled? I apologize it's just that I have never seen a Game Company do this before, and I been playing games for Years. but anyways I'm sure Telltale is working hard on Bttf.
  • edited December 2010
What can we expect from the PS3 release date?
Will it be out later? Earlier?
  • edited December 2010
I keep coming back here to see when my free game will be working so maybe they just want to have a high on line member count?

Yeah, usually game companies set a release date, and then delay it. And delay it again. And delay it again.

Telltale doesn't set a firm release date for a game until they are absolutely certain they will be able to release it on that date. As far as I know (and please, somebody correct me if I'm wrong or if I'm just forgetting something, I may be), Telltale has never missed a release date, at least for their PC games.

Also, if you're that worried about the exact day it'll come out, just assume it'll be out December 31st, and if when it comes out earlier, consider it a pleasant surprise.

Homestar Ruiner was scheduled for a June 2008 release but was delayed until August. That was because Telltale didn't want to release the PC versions of SBCG4AP until the Wii version was ready for release too, so how much that counts is debatable.

But yeah, any Telltale newbies here because of BttF should know Telltale generally doesn't give exact release dates, but it's a small price to pay for having their stuff come out so soon.

Everything that has been released said it will be on the PS3 later than the PC version.

S&M305 and ToMI 105 got delayed both too.

The 305 wait was pretty great. Until I was forced to break off at 4AM :(.

S&M 305 delayed? When did that happen? "The Devil's Playhouse" kept its perfect release schedule. 301 April, 302 May, 303 June, 304 July, 305 August. No delay in sight... It was just that people kept getting nervous as the end of August approached. ;)

It got pushed back a day after the release date was announced. Which gave quite a bit of activity in the "waiting thread"...

Shhhh... don't tell all the newbies about the waiting thread thing! The mods are kinda hoping there won't be one for BTTF. :D

Now lets all be patient and wait for the release, I'm as excited as all of you but I'm sure they are working really hard on getting the game ready for play, and the end result will be worthy of the reaction: "GREAT SCOTT!"

Me and my wife just finished watching the 3rd movie this past weekend. I've never seen the movies (scandal!) so it was fun to catch up and see what I had gotten myself into with this preorder.

Now, I'm waiting impatiently for this game. Oh well. December is still young. And I think we'd all rather have a polished game than a rushed one.

And don't forget the Wallace & Gromit episodes. Now, the PC one came out right on thime, it was the XBLA ones that didn't. The 1st episode came out either the same day or a week after the PC...but then 2nd, 3rd & 4th cameout for PC...XBLA had nothing. (Well, that was "Summer of Arcade"'s fault) it wasn't untill about 3 months after the PC season was over, then 1 day, they just release 2, 3 & 4 at the same time! Thanks Xbox, way to stick to the Monthly Episode format.

Now, PSN on the other hand did a good job of releasing 'The Devil's Playhouse' on the same day as PC...even the pre-order was handled well to. So, I think the PS3 version of BTTF will hopefully be on schedule as well (even if it will be a little late).

Well, I'm definetly hoping for a release AFTER christmas, since the trailer states that the next episode won't be out til February.
I can't wait over a month for my BTTF fix, especially if there's some huge cliffhanger or something!

So just like the City that Dares not Sleep then.

The PS3 and PSN logo at the end of the trailer have given me hope that the PS3 version will be released at the same or similar time to the PC version. Hopefully in all regions as well.

    equals loss of sales :)

Seriously though, its a bit daunting that the section of the site hasn't been completed yet..... All the links still show Coming Soon.

    Hnjarghhh... noo.... ;)

We must assume that TTG still has something like company holidays and that between December 24 and January 3, nothing will happen with this game or any other TTG game. If they stick to their schedule, we'll have this game December 23rd at the latest.

I've done a bit of research, but never has a TTG episode been released between December 24 and January 09, is that correct or does anyone have other information?

I wouldn't think they'd release it so close to Christmas, more likely is near the 20th, but who can say
