Don't be too hard on them. They're just trying to find an outlet until the actual game is released; this is the release date discussion board after all. Granted, there's little discussion and more complaining but hey, it's not like they can whine about it anywhere else. If it's bothering you so much, don't visit this board. Simple.

Today or tomorrow would be nice. I have friends coming over and I want them to see it - otherwise I have to wait for another week or two to show them the third episode. And I don't want to have to suffer through three to four hours of playing through it again.

I didn't think they release games on weekends? So if it's not out today, it'll be at least 2 more days.

Yep. For as long as I've been around at least, they've always released on a weekday.

Could be released any minute now!!

    Or maybe not.

Ok, anonimous gathering of page-refreshers is over for today. Meet you here tomorrow. :)

Telltale doesn't release games on the weekends...

    Try Monday.
  • edited March 2011
Yeah, I was thinking this week, but after wednesday I sorta figured it would be next week. Ah well....

Thanks Alan. Of course this statement does NOT preclude tomorrow as the release date. Get your happy fingers fired up for consta-refresh tomorrow! ;)

This statement doesn't but somewhere on this thread someone dug up all the relase dates telltale has ever had and found the most common were tuesdays and thursdays (ep 2 was on a wednesday). Given that weekends are out of the question, mondays are probably are as well; they'd likely rush to get it out on friday.

No, no, no, I didn't dig out ALL of the release dates. My data took the second and third Sam & Max season + Tales of Monkey Island into account and not more. The Tuesday/Thursday-heaviness was unmistakably there, nonetheless. The only Friday was Tales of Monkey Island, Episode 4. There are no Saturday or Sunday releases, of course.

And nothing happens today. Good thing I found out before my first F5 today.

Hmmm the final DLC for Mass Effect 2 called "the arrival" is also out on the 29th for $7, wonder which one I will be playing?
  • edited March 2011
Well if you want to think about it really critically...they could release it whenever they wanted to do this month...which could surprisingly could be....any day!!
  • edited March 2011
That's an easy choice for me. As a double dipper who bought both PS3 and PC version of BTTF I'll be playing BTTF Episode 2. lol
  • edited March 2011
Hard not to come across any spoliers, since I am only playing bttf on ps3 and am almost 2 ep behind.. thanks psn lol.. I should just wait til like may or june and play all at once ep 1-5. But love the movie and so far am enjoying the game! The suspense is always great 2.. except when it takes a lil longer and they leave you waiting haha.

@False Advertising: Unlike other companies, Telltale does not date a release as a couple of months after they expect to finish the work. They are one of the hardest-working companies I know, always pushing themselves deadline-wise.

    I shouldn't have fed the troll. :(
  • edited March 2011
yeah, who wants to come in on the weekend? St. Pattys day hangovers and all that.

    Hi Alan,

I think you guys are doing a great job. I have loved everything you guys have made. Both episodes 1 and 2 of BTTF has been great. I can't wait for episode 3. It has been hard waiting for episode 3...lol..., but I know you guys are working hard to make it as good as possible and that makes it worth the wait. You guys take all the time you need, cause I know when Episode 3 comes out, It will be Awsome!!! Keep up the good work you guys!!! I look foward to all future game that have yet to be made.

and Episode 2 for PS3 is coming on the 29th, I guess it's safe to assume that Citizen Brown won't make its way to PS3 until May.

No it's safe to say it will hit probably late April just like this one is hitting Late March. They seem to be aiming for 1 a month and so far are making that. The first was Mid Feb. The second one here is late march. So I figure Episode 3 will hit probably late April.
  • edited March 2011
It will be released when it is ready. Trust me, it will be worth the wait.
  • edited March 2011
Will it be worth it? What if it was ready two days ago but their was a game breaking glitch where you could accidentally travel back in time, distract Loraine's dad long enough that he runs over and kills Marty's dad while hes playing peeping Tom, causing you to never be born and creating a ripple in the space time continuum that makes your computer spew flames and your kittens cry?

They're gonna make the March date by three days.

In other threads, it was stated that Telltale is making the PC game and then porting to PS3. By this time last month, Get Tannen had been released. So considering that Telltale says they get the games out on PC pretty much right after it's finished, it took a month and a half to port the game, send it to Sony, and have them OK it. At this point, Citizen Brown hasn't been released on PC, so we can assume it hasn't been finished yet. Let's say it comes out next week. If we follow the same month and a half timetable, there's no way Episode 3 comes out on the PS3 before the end of April.

For the record, I blame Sony on this. It sounds like Telltale submitted the 2nd episode to Sony weeks ago, possibly before the end of February.

They also were supposed to have had "It's About Time" out in January.

It's been more than a month but less than 30 days, remember february is a short month.

I'd assume there's less work involved in episodes 2 and 4 as it mostly uses reocurring characters and settings from previous episodes so the animations should be easier. FCB will likely have pretty much all new character designs aside from marty and to a lesser extent biff and the setting is completely new. Episode 4 will likely be rehashing characters and settings we have already seen and thus less work.

Well, i'm just going to be patient and wait until the release. I rather a finished completed game without any bugs or ticks. so when it's done it's done. but I have a very good strong feeling it will be out Monday or Tuesday. if not I don't mind the wait..but I would of liked some updates on the site of some concept art or some wallpapers, maybe a sound clip or two...but it's okay.

Apparently, Episode 3 was released a week ago! However it had a glitch that tampered with the space time continuum, causing the PLAYER OF THE GAME to have never been born! (thats why they are no missed, no one knows they ever existed!!) So TTG had to get in their time machine and take the game down before it was "too late". But it was. If you downloaded Episode 3 you do not exist anymore.

    :p Nice one.

I'm still not so sure about the date. Using Google's newest feature, nothing really comes up...

Its clear each month a new episode will be released but with the month of march coming to an end and still no word on when we will see episode 3 why dosent TellTale Games just announce a date at the beginning of each month so fans don't have to keep asking and find out at the last moment?
  • edited March 2011
That would be nice but it won't happen.
  • You're obviously new here so hopefully people take a break on you but there's plenty of posts about it.

Basically they release a game as soon as it is ready to go. So they don't want to estimate a target date and then miss it to make anyone bad nor do they want to announce a date later than they need to and then hold onto the finished game until the promise date.

Today is March 20. So along these 10 days EP 3 will be released. Hopefully
