When we want to put a game on any of the major consoles, we have to send Sony/Microsoft/Nintendo/etc a finished version of the game for approval. This approval process usually takes at least two weeks--sometimes longer, if the company finds problems or requests that changes be made. Every game that comes out for every console goes through this same process.
On Sam & Max Season 3, the PS3 versions were developed first, and the PC/Mac versions were finished while the PS3 versions were in the approval process. So when each episode was approved and we knew when it would be up on the Playstation Network, we could release the PC/Mac versions at about the same time.
With BttF, it was decided to develop the PC/Mac versions first, which is why they're coming out earlier--the PSN versions don't take that much longer to finish, but the approval process can take a while, and those versions can't come out until they're completely approved.
I have inside info about the release dates of all PC and PS3 episodes. No I will not tell any of them because they were obtained using time travel...if anyone else knew the results could be disastrous!

Hmm, that might be a little difficult. 1985's a busy year for me. I'm generally pretty flexible but I'd like to stay away from 1885, 1955 and 1985. What else works for you?

I would suggest staying out of the eighties entirely as they are best viewed from a distance of at least twenty years.

I am not your regular customer. I am a guy who grew up in the 80s watching the BTTF trilogy. While on PSN i saw your $19.95 bundle of a supposedly cool game of BTTF episodes 1-5. While extatic to see a new game about one of my favorite movies, I jumped at the chance to play without reading the fine print. I dont mind waiting after playing an entertaining episode 1. But WHY THE HECK cant i play episode 2 after a month of waiting. I understand the process of marketing on PSN and Telltale allegedly having to wait for a PSN OK, But really there should be a refund cause in your agreement. I dont care about the $20 i dropped, honestly, if you gave me a next week excuse i would be fine if you lied. I cant even google an excuse from your team. Next tuesday will be March 22, i hope to see GET TANNEN on PS3. Or i guess i will have to wait more. I know that FOR SURE I will get my Tiger Woods Masters game on the 29th of March, maybe then i will forget about the BTTF game, but really i will not consider ever buying another game from your company. It is really stupid for a customer having to comment on a message board hoping to get an answer to a easy question.

I take it you're referring to the "COMING FEBRUARY 2011" after the Episode 2 preview at the end of Episode 1 for PS3 (at least, that's what I've heard). Though I cannot speak for the Telltale team, that was, in fact, an error. The PS3 episodes have always been scheduled to be released one behind the PC/Mac versions. Episode 1 came out for PS3 when Episode 2 came out for PC/Mac, etc. The release date for Episode 2 for PS3 is March 2011. Therefore, Telltale isn't late, nor have they lied. They made a huge error that has warranted an onslaught of topics from angry PS3 users (and rightfully so), but this is a monthly series, so having to wait about a month for episode 2 after episode 1 is by no means unreasonable. Everyone here has been waiting a month for whichever episode is on deck for them, be it Episode 3 for PC/Mac or Episode 2 for PS3. Telltale never said that the episodes would be released exactly one month apart, either. It'll be released sometime this month, and if it's not, then you'll have every right to be angry. But for now, just be patient. Telltale hasn't done anything wrong...yet

Imagine my confusion when I completed it and the credits told me to expect Episode 2 in the month previous to Episode 1's release!

Could say coming Early this month , or mid this month, or end this month. At least its better than no news :P.

We're working on getting Episode 3 to you as we speak, but don't have a release date to announce yet. Trust me, as with every episode, you guys get it pretty much as soon as it's ready - we don't just hold on to it. Hoping to get some Episode 3 stuff out there for you soon.

You know, Alan already answered all this. Originally, episode 1 was supposed to come out in January, but Sony pussyfooted around and it was pushed to February instead. In the end, the game is at the mercy of Sony. It will be up most likely next week, as PSN doesn't update except on Tuesdays.
