Seeing as how the novel was actually written by Kirkman, it is the canon, which (officially as far as I'm concerned) renders this game non-canon.
It would be mega mega super uber mondo appreciated if someone from TTG can chime in on this huge pressing issue of canoninity (if that's the correct word, sounded better than canonness or canonicality)
ok, havent read the last couple of pages but had to ask...
When you guys submitted episode one and episode two for review with PSN, XBOX, etc... how many days did it take them to approve it and get it released? this will give all of us a better idea of how long the wait will be from this step. Thanks!

i think that sort of info could be considered secret..
so if both those episodes were released in the same time frame from the day they were submitted... how is it not "indeterminable". Otherwise, If one took 2 weeks and the other took 3 days, we know how long it CAN take but also how short it can be as well.
Although there is a thread already with considerable replies (including my own), I must assert the need for an inverted Y axis / control scheme option.

I admit this would have been easier for most players. They don't even have the option for this in the iOS version.
TTG are you going to fix PS3 version's pixelated lighting problem????
It kinda looks awful and in EP1 ruins the scene where Lee enters Clem's house.
You can't add self-shadowing on PS3 - ok, but please fix the lighting!
do you guys at telltale games work on one episode at a time or do you have multi episodes in delpoment
I'm not an employee of Telltale Games, but in another thread I mentioned what I understand of how the process works. Of course this may not be entirely correct:
Just as an FYI, they actually do write the next episode before they release the first one - in fact they have the whole season's story arc planned out, if not individual lines of dialogue. Development is staggered, rather than a straight "work on ep 1, then work on ep 2" scenario. I think when they release episode 1 they already have a lot of work done for ep 2, and are usually recording dialogue for ep 3. Because episodes are being worked on simultaneously, each one has a different director/lead to manage it (you'll see this in the episode credits).
1st off, although i've only seen season 1 & 2(up 2 the mid season finale) i'd like 2 still consider my self a fan & hav enjoyed episodes 1 & 2 of the walking dead game. 2nd,i've skimmed over some of these questions & answers so tried ask a question that you can feel comfortable answering. Will there be any more cameo appearances (such as glenn and hershel) or just nods to the series/comics? for the record,i'm new 2 TT & this forum but know how nasty things can get on here. Let me apologise in advance if I do/say annything offensive or even ask something someones asked as i don't want 2 waste time reading all of these posts and grammar mistakes... I'm only human & have my own oppinions & questions so please b kind
It's not like the comics did not set an age difference precedent (which the TV series, according to my research, just left out). Andrea 26 (according to the wiki), Dale FAR older (wiki sais "over 40" but come on, the man was RETIRED. We're talking 34 years age difference MINIMUM).
Has Robert Kirkman decided who should be dead by the end of Season 1 ?
Knowing him, I'm more interested in knowing who survives, who dies and what not.

Kirkman has given his OK to the storyline, maybe some hints and pointers, but he certainly doesn't decide which of the characters Telltale has created are to live or die.
The canon question is a different one, what with the different Lillys walking around.
The last question answered by a team member in this thread was on the 1st, so my question is this... Where are you people? Did you all commit ritual suicide?
I think they're busy making a game. It doesn't matter what they post at this point, they'll be flamed.
Whose fault is that?
I'm tired of people who complain getting treated like they're trolls. We were sold a product and a promise. So far, we've received part of the product, and the promise has been broken.
People reap what they sow. When you do awesome things, people stick up for you. Blizzard delays EVERYTHING they release by *years*, and general public response is "It's cool. Give it to me when it's ready." It's because they communicate. They keep their promises when they can and they fess up when they can't. They deliver a quality product that does MORE than they claim it can up front. A customer feels valued when they buy a blizzard product.
Telltale makes promises they don't keep, quietly changes the evidence of the promise on their website without saying a damn thing to the people who paid them, and they deliver a perfectly decent product that doesn't really do what they said it would do.
No you're not trolls, you're consumer zombies. We're all in the same boat, but you all feel like you're somehow special, despite the fact that 10 people before you have already said the exact same things.
The difference being that I have other things to do besides bitching about a game or, for that matter, listening to others bitch. That's my cue to leave.

if kirkman has given the ok to the story, then whats the deal with the contradicting lillys?

Kirkman and Telltale might have different contradictions to whether which is canon or not. Kirkman might have the The Road to Woodbury penned down months before this game.

so then there shoudn't have been the contradiction?
We don't know for sure that there is a condratition. The book is not out yet, the contradition comes from people who supposedly read a advance copy and posted to a walking dead wiki. Do you trust all things written on a wiki?

I have no idea. But the novel this contradicting info supposedly is from is two months from release. We might have to wait and see if there actually IS contradicting info.
Last time I checked, the Walking Dead wiki - where the thought of this canon violation seemed to stem from - had no information on a Lilly or her father. Then again, there's naturally no "Road to Woodbury" section yet.
I just checked out walking dead wiki and it says this novel is completely based around lilly. I'm kind of nervous now that everything that's happening to lilly in this game is moot.
PlayStation.Blog: Speaking of the novels, I recently finished The Rise of the Governor. And I understand the next book Road to Woodbury will focus on Lili, an infamous character from the comics. Will there be any tie-in to the game? Is there any chance Lili appear in future episodes of the game, for example?
Robert Kirkman: There will definitely be a character named Lili in the game. Whether or not that ends up being the same character we know and love from the comic and the upcoming novel remains to be seen. But yeah, the new novel comes out in October and I’m excited about it. The novel series, the comic series, and the video game all are intertwined in the same universe. Keeping that continuity straight is something that’s been very important to me, and yeah, we’ll definitely see them continue to connect in a lot of interesting ways moving forward.

I second this. Sooner would be better than later.

they would never make that deadline
That might be hard to time, but it'd sure be cool.
Is this still true, Jake?
Larry King had his youngest while in his 60's.

If they answer questions about whether they prefer mayonnaise or miracle whip, they'll be flamed.
If they answer questions about Lilly or Episode 3, they won't be.
To be fair, you cannot promise that for anyone else but you.
Whose fault is that?
