TTG, How do you feel about all this flaming about release schedule?

Is the topic something you'd rather ignore at this point or do you just happen to have nothing to add?

What are they talking about near future on EP3?

So they're going to write it off as "oh it's just another chick named lilly that kinda looks similar to the lilly from the comics?"

    kill me.
  • edited August 2012
I took that to mean, "I'm doing my own thing and gave Telltale the right to do theirs. We'll see how well they match me in the end."

PlayStation.Blog: Speaking of the novels, I recently finished The Rise of the Governor. And I understand the next book Road to Woodbury will focus on Lili, an infamous character from the comics. Will there be any tie-in to the game? Is there any chance Lili appear in future episodes of the game, for example?

Robert Kirkman: There will definitely be a character named Lili in the game. Whether or not that ends up being the same character we know and love from the comic and the upcoming novel remains to be seen. But yeah, the new novel comes out in October and I’m excited about it. The novel series, the comic series, and the video game all are intertwined in the same universe. Keeping that continuity straight is something that’s been very important to me, and yeah, we’ll definitely see them continue to connect in a lot of interesting ways moving forward.

    Source: http://blog.us.playstation.com/2012/08/22/the-walking-dead-9-minutes-with-robert-kirkman/

does kirkman mean lilly/lili may not in fact be the same person that is in the comic or does he mean her character (personality) will change in the game so she would later become the character she is in the comic?

i wonder if she is just a trick to make the comic fans be in shock when she dies

and how are the statistics tracked? is it every play through ever made even not completed or is it just the first play through and fully completed ?

Yep, yesterday. I believe it was the Kenny vs. Lilly thread.

TTG will the second season of the walking dead follow the same group (if there still alive) or follow an entirely different set of characters ?
  • edited August 2012
I sort of hope for all new characters... maybe even in a different part of the country.. or even a different country all together. It could be pretty interesting that way.
  • edited August 2012
definatly not in another country, but I think it would be the same group, see how civilization rebuilds itself
  • edited August 2012
I dunno.. I think it would be cool to see how other countries are dealing with the event... Also I really do not think you will see any conclusion like society being rebuilt in any of the games... that story will most definitely be saved to tell in the books and show.

The game essentially takes place during the timeline in the comics.

I'm a Telltale Games team member, but I just started working there two months ago and I don't have the authority/knowledge to answer these questions. So I've just been lurking in the forum and reading the release date thread whenever I want to be made sad.

Then why is your name not red to identify you as a member of telltale games like the others?

Because I signed up for the forum a long time ago, before I worked there, and I don't know who I need to talk to to get the red name.

I can confirm that shammack's in Petaluma.

You may have been better off staying incognito.

    I'm starting to realize that.

If you need proof, I'm listed on this page and in the episode 3 credits. Of course, that's not definitive -- I could still just be some guy who squatted this username a year ago just in case someone named S. Hammack ever got a job at Telltale so I could impersonate him and then not say anything useful or interesting.

I don't need proof, I was curious. In another thread, someone posted an article about telltale, and telltale stated in that article that thier employees are supposed to identify themselves if commenting on telltale work. Thus my curousity. No offense meant.

i dont know if im just paranoid but anybody on these forums could be someone one the staff wanting to stay incognito, it would probably be a good way to get an honest opinion of things, but i never trust anybody on the internet, so dont be offended anybody but i dont trust any of you and wouldn't believe you were who you say you were even with a picture of your passport, for all i know every official member of telltale staff could just be an internet liaison person who just logged on with different accounts

Too bad. You should have stuck with your word instead of pulling this trash on us that you've pulled. You deserve to be sad. And we deserve our money back.

If you didn't want to be sad about people's reactions, you should have been honest and released your game on the schedule people paid for instead of delaying things for months on end.

I paid for an episode per month, and you have not delivered at all. I want my god damned money back, and I'm never dealing with this awful company again.

This post made me LOL beyond belief. Registered, with THAT username of all things, just to type that. Shammock, until PROVEN legitimately, is NOT an employee of TellTale Games.

Why would I create any other name? I'm only even on these forums out of frustration and trying to find answers, considering Tell Tale ignores customer support tickets.

I'm sick and tired of TellTale's bullshit. They've stolen my money, and are criminals. They're dishonest and lack any and all integrity.

Also your forum moderator confirmed him as an employee, and regardless it doesn't change the point of my message.

I confirmed that the place shammack was posting from is California, rather close to the TTG studios. He IS a member of the Telltale team. Weird city name though. I keep confusing it with Pasadena. :D

You're as new to the company as I am to their games lol Since this is the forum to ask questions, have TT heard back from their partners bout episode 3 yet? Have they told you anything yet? Better yet what's it like down there and are you guys as frustrated as the rest of us about how long it's taking??
*sorry I'm hammering you with questions :D

Probably because he paid for monthly episodes and didn't get that.

I know, I know. They changed the wording, and thats all fine and good. But i'm sorry, for those of us who weren't familiar with telltale missing dates like this, it is a legitimate argument that we got taken advantage of here or at the very least have a reason to be angry.

I didn't pay for a season pass, monthly episodes, just to play 2 episodes during summer and play the third and beyond in the fall.
  • edited August 2012
Considering all the statistics Telltale's gathering from this game, I wonder if they are tracking variables on this forum, blog and/or other social media pages.
  • edited August 2012
I paid for 5 episodes and that's what I'll get, so no stealing here.

Of course they should have released monthly episodes, but I don't mind delays so much if episodes are good. And TWD is the best Telltale game in a while. I was very disappointed with Back to the Future and Jurassic Park, and it wasn't for the timing, just because they were not-very-good games.
